Welcome to Day 2 of The Spellbinders Product Partner Holiday Blog Hop!
Today we feature 2 projects using both Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Spellbinders™ dies. Use the contest link all the way down the post to enter to win!
Up first we have Lisa Adametz!
I’m so super excited to be a participant of this awesome blog hop and representing Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. So I hope that you’ll enjoy what I created using our awesome 3D Foam Snowflakes and the Nestabilities Labels Forty.
I knew that I wanted to use the 3D Foam Snowflakes when I created my card today and these labels shapes are such a funky shape. I thought that they’d be great to create a kind of scene, if you will. But would you believe I had ZERO Christmas paper?! I know. I’m ashamed. But, I found this great patterned paper that had snowflakes on them and I knew it would be perfect for what I wanted to do and I got completely excited.
I tend to like non-traditional colors a lot of times. And I thought that the hues in this paper would be so FUN! And adding the glitter is so easy to the 3D Foam Snowflakes. Using the 3D Foam Squares in the different sizes really gives this card so much dimension, too. And it’s not too thick. I used the Dodz™ to keep the twine in place and also the “sequin” snowflakes.
The shape of the die really makes the paper and the 3D Foam Snowflakes look so much like a little scene. It really makes me happy and, even though I know many of you are getting hit hard by crazy weather, I hope the card makes YOU happy too.
Enjoy the hop today!
These are the supplies I used:
- Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® – E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable, 3D Foam Squares White, Regular, 3D Foam Squares White, Small, 3D Foam Snowflakes, MyStik® Permanent Strips, Adhesive Dots Small
- Spellbinders ® – Nestabilities – Labels Forty (S4-465)
- Lawn Fawn – Lawn Ornaments
- Martha Stewart , Glitter – Aquamarine, Sterling
- Ranger Ink Glitter, Distress Glitter, Clear
- Doodlebug – Doodletwine
- Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® – Coconut Gelato®, Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencil #273
- Zig – Wink of Stella, Clear
- Paper – Pink Paislee – Snow Village. Cardstock – My Favorite Things – Steel Grey, Neenah – Solar White 120#
Next is Michele Kovack!
I am thrilled to participate in the Holiday Blog Hop! I have two festive holiday cards to share with you, along with a step by step tutorial. First, here are the cards I’ve created using a combination of Spellbinders dies and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®.
First I gathered all of my materials, adhesive, watercolors, water color paper, and Spellbinders dies.
I wanted to create a watercolor wash so I used my new Derwent Artbar watercolors. I spritzed the water color paper and using a large foam brush, swept some color across the paper.
Place the Spellbinder’s Diagonal Chevron die over the paper.
Pop out the pieces and place to the side.
Cut out another Diagonal Chevron using plain white card stock.
Place the white Chevron over a piece of rectangular cardstock. Adhere in place.
Use Crafty Foam Tape and adhere to each Chevron water colored stripe. I used the bottom portion I used E-Z Runner® because I didn’t want the bottom to have the same dimension as the top.
Using the larger rectangle found with the Chevron Stripe dies, cut out white cardstock.
Adhere Chevron Striped design to large white rectangle. You can see the contrast in depth.
Use Spellbinder’s Conversation Bubble One and glittery cardstock. Adhere it to the card using the E-Z Runner®.
For my embellishments and to keep my ribbon from shifting, I used DODZ™ Small.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today!
Michele
