Today on Day 4 of our week-long blog hop with Stampendous! We have card making merriment happening with our two designers, Judy Hayes and Tracy McLennon. Don’t forget to check out Stampendous! team’s creations and the giveaway details at the end.
Cool Christmas Card by Judy Hayes
This fun Cool Penguin card was made with Cool Penguin Stamps and Cutting Dies. It was easy to cut out the penguin, sweater, and hat with matching dies! These pieces were also stamped with watermark ink and heat embossed with Detail Gold Embossing Powder. A touch of gold adds a “cooler” look! Color each piece with watercolor markers. The sweater is attached to the penguin with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix for dimension. The hat is fastened along the edge with E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser, so easy to apply along the curved edge.
The lavender background has gold embossed edges created by pressing each edge onto watermark ink pad and heat embossing with Detail Gold Embossing Powder. Stamp snowflakes randomly to the background using watermark ink. Cool Penguin stands on a “snow bank” cut from cardstock and shaded with markers. The snow bank is fastened to the lavender background with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix in the center and at ends with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser. Cool Penguin is fastened with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser over the snow bank and Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix under his upper body and hat. The greeting is popped up with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix. The lavender and purple layers are fastened to white card base using E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser. A very Cool Penguin card!

Warmest Thoughts by Tracy McLennon
I loved creating with these beautiful Stampendous holiday stamps. To give the stunning images justice, I added lots of dimension with 3D Foam Squares White Mix after adding color to them.
A little dimension can make the difference between a flat but pretty card and a WOW card. I have a detailed tutorial on this card on my blog, visit: Scrappy Chicks Design!
