Hi everyone, it’s Christine here today with an upcycling project. Throughout the year I collect gift boxes, small and large because I cannot bear to throw them away! When I need a box, I then pick one to decorate with pretty paper and die cuts. The beauty is of this is you can use up lots of your paper scraps and surplus die cuts too. It’s so easy with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® adhesives.
How to Upcycle a Gift Box
This particular box originally had chocolates inside (empty now)! It’s a good sturdy box, and you know those are hard to find. I cut a strip of patterned paper to affix to the top and a length of ribbon to wrap around. Both are securely held in place with Crafty Power Tape . This is a super high-tack double-sided tape with a liner that is very easy to remove.
For affixing my decorative die cuts in place I use 3D Foam Circles White Mix , they fit neatly on the reverse and there are two sizes in each pack.
Fill the box with treasures or treats, it makes such a special and personalized gift for friends and family.
Thank you for joining me today and I hope I’ve inspired you to upcycle boxes.
