Dimensional Scrapbooking Tips

When I create a dimensional scrapbooking layout with lots of embellishments, firstly I grab my E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser for all of my paper on paper layers. Because this will make sure that all of those base layers are super strong to hold all of the smaller layers and bulky embellishments.

Once I adhere my base layer, I fussy cut that large doily-like pattern from the same paper collection. Using adhesive only at the bottom of the vellum piece, add it just above where you would like the fussy cut doily to end up.

For extra dimension on this scrapbook layout, adhere the doily to the base layers using Crafty Foam Tape White. Fussy cut another smaller corner portion of the same piece of paper and adhere it to the top left-hand corner, again using Crafty Foam Tape White. Next fussy cut a strip of the gingham pattern to create a border of sorts and add that across the popped up doily pattern using 3D Foam Squares White Regular Size on the ends.

Mat the cropped 4×6 photo in white cardstock, white patterned paper and then white cardstock again. Use ink to distress all of the paper edges on these layers. Adhere the photo to the first layer using Creative Photo Corners White, this frames the image beautifully. Then add that to the next layer using Crafty Foam Tape White, and the final layer using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser.

Now add a couple of die cuts and patterned pieces just under where the matted photo goes, using E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser. Adhere the matted photo to the layout using Crafty Foam Tape White.

Even More Dimensionals

Add small pieces of cheesecloth to the left and right of the matted photo using Adhesive Dots Medium. Then place clusters of flowers to the left and right of the matted photo using Adhesive Dots Large. These Adhesive Dots are beautifully sticky for adding the paper and fabric flowers, perfect for dimensional scrapbooking! Now adhere the leaves around the flowers using Adhesive Dots Medium and Adhesive Dots Large.

Finally, place an acetate butterfly to the left of the matted photo using a couple of Adhesive Dots Micro. In the top left-hand corner of the layout, adhere a small piece of cheesecloth, a couple of flowers and a small chipboard embellishment. I hope this helps the next time you are dimensional scrapbooking.
