I haven’t had only a couple days for my husband has been in the SICU (surgical ICU and now an acute care facility ) all summer long. They do not know if he is going to be able to walk or even move the right side of his body or talk again. It has been devastating. Anyway, during one of the many weeks he was comatose, I took my grandson to a indoor/outdoor play place with video games indoors and laser tag then go carts, a couple small rides and a mini golf outside. It kept his mind occupied and off his poppy and made me smile for just a little while seeing him smile! What a wonderful day it was! I love scrapbook adhesives by 3L and only use them . I am worried I will not get to scrap anymore due to not having the finances with neither of us working. You are the best! <3

My century plant is blooming and attracting all manner of birds and insects to it’s sweet nectar. I am taking in the splendor of all their visits to the towering flower stalk. It is so bittersweet, mimicking life, as all of this long awaited beauty will last but a fleeting moment and I will not see this again for another 10 to 20 years if I last that long.

My favorite memory from this summer was taking my 90-year old mom on a wine tour. She lives alone and seldom leaves the house except for medical appointments so 2 of my siblings and I were looking for something fun to do with her. The weather was perfect, the views of the lake were spectacular but the best part was watching Mom really enjoy herself. I look forward to helping her scrapbook photos from that day.

Think there will be more in the future it’s such an easy way to get to the ballgame which is about 70 miles from where we live. Can’t wait to scrapbook our day. Especially as, I made the next step in my quadriceps rehab with walking as we walked about 3 miles that day.
