Hi, Connie Mercer, and I’m so excited to be a Guest Designer with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L!. I have a Give Thanks card tutorial using stamps, inks and really strong adhesive by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. This is a perfect card to include with a fresh loaf of homemade bread for a special gift.
Give Thanks Background
This technique can be used on any size card or tag. The main thing is to have fun creating and trying new ideas! To make the background for the card, place water reactive ink on a non-stick mat. Spray the ink with water and then dip the card front in the color mix. You can dry it with a heat tool. Repeat this process until you get the look you want. The inks work great layered one color at a time. Repeat the process again for the stamped leaf images.
Making Layers
Use the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable dispenser to attach the inked card front to a folded kraft cardstock card.
Add a strip of brown corrugated cardboard across the card with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/2-inch. This is strong tape and perfect for pieces that you don’t want to move. Cut out the leaf images and add them to your card with 3D Foam Squares Black Regular.
Card Details
Paint glitter on the stamped leaves with a glitter pen. It’s perfect for that sparkle we all love! Add buttons to the center leaf for some extra dimension. Wrap twine around the card bottom and tied in a bow. Punch a hole at one end of the sentiment strip, thread twine through and tie it to make a bow.
A great alternative in securing buttons and flat pearls to projects is to use Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/2-inch. It works great and stays secure on the glittered leaf.
Thanks for stopping by!
