Colored and Striped Snowmen Card

Hi everyone, Yvonne here with a snowmen card featuring a gorgeous Stampendous stamp. With only about two months to go, it’s time to get started making Christmas cards!

Using a technique called Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside I created a colored and sparkling snowmen card. Wanna join me in creating the card? Well…let’s get started!

Prepping the Snowmen Card

First, stamp the snowmen image onto white smooth cardstock using a black ink pad. Now I used a very large stamp, so I trimmed it down to a rectangular shape, using only a part of the stamp.

Then I used colored pencils to color the stamped image. Coloring is all about layering, so slowly build up your colors by adding multiple layers of coloring, each adding a little more shadow parts.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside

To create the glittered stripes I adhered Crafty Power Tape Dispenser 81ft horizontally over the colored card panel.

Use a craft knife to cut off the excess parts of the Crafty Power Tape Dispenser 81ft to make it fit the card panel. Then gently peel off the liners of the Crafty Power Tape Dispenser 81ft and sprinkle some silver glitter upon the adhesive stripes.

For secure adhering to the glitter, simply rub them with your finger over the glittered stripes. Next tap off any Excess glitter. This technique, making your adhesive a feature on your projects is also known as Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside.

Making the Card Base

Adhere the colored card panel onto a soft grey card panel and use the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser for adhering. Then adhere to a white card base and again use the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser for adhering to the panel.

Finishing the Snowmen Card

For a finishing touch, I added a few self-adhesive rhinestones.

Designer’s Tip: if you have rhinestones that do not adhere well, or even have no adhesive on the back: simply use Adhesive Dots Micro for adhering!

And voilá….your glittering colored snowmen card is ready! I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial and wish you happy crafting!
