Hi everyone, Yvonne here with a Flower + Grid Love Card. I can’t believe how time flies and see the first spring flowers blooming in our garden here in Holland. This was the inspiration for the card I made. The card is simple to create and I would love to share how I made it. Wanna join me?
Making the Grid Background
Start by punching out 15 squares size 1 1/4″ from white lined cardstock. I used a punch, but if you don’t have one, you can also die-cut or simply cut them out using scissors or a craft knife. Next I adhered a 3D Foam Squares White Regular Size to the back of each square. I distressed the edges of each square and made some extra torn by hand.
Then adhere the squares lined up (3×5) onto a piece of pink cardstock. Leave a little space between all the squares to emphasize the uplifting effect. This is the top card panel for your Flower Grid Love card.
Making the Card Base
First, trim the pink top card panel of the Flower + Grid Love card. It gives a nice effect and balances your card if the space between the distressed and torn squares is the same as the outline size of the card panel. Next, adhere onto an orange card panel using the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser to adhere the layers. Then adhere to a white card base, again using the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser as an adhesive.
Embellishing the Flower Love Card
To embellish the card I used mulberry flowers which I stacked and adhere to the layers using Adhesive Dots Micro. Then adhered the (stacked Flowers onto the card using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix. As a finishing touch, I adhered a wooden Love sentiment onto the card using Adhesive Dots Micro. And voilá, your Flower love card is ready!
