Hello, folks! My name is Jennifer Ingle and I am so excited to be joining you here today as a guest designer! I want to share a super fun project with you today that uses some really fantastic Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products. And also glitter. Because, well… GLITTER!
Piecing Together the Jeep
For this card, I began by die-cutting the Jeep and all of the pieces from various paper types. I used chunky glitter cardstock, vellum, holographic cardstock, and some good old-fashioned black cardstock. Because I was using a variety of paper types and I wanted a lot of dimension in this design, I pulled out a few favorite adhesives to make it all come together.
I began by using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive (aka the Vellum Runner) for the windshield cut from vellum. I then used the 3D Foam Squares in Black for the hood, fenders, and other areas where I wanted to add a bit of lift.
Once I had the Jeep fully assembled (P.S. I used the vellum adhesive to secure the holographic cardstock because it works really quite well on the glitter base. SUPER STICKY!), I stenciled my card panel with a simple checked pattern. I then pulled out one of my all-time favorites…Crafty Foam Tape 108ft. in Black, aka The GIANT roll of foam tape!
I particularly love the lining on this foam tape because it is super easy to see and remove. I made sure to use plenty so I would have a nice, secure hold and even application.
Finally, I use the E-Z Runner® Grand to adhere my finished card panel to the card base. I then simply stamped the sentiment to complete the card!
Loads of dimension and I have full confidence that everything will stay put when it arrives in the recipient’s hands!
