Hi, Connie here with a Be Different Art Journal Page using the 3D Foam adhesives for that wonderful dimension it gives a die cut or stamped image. I’m creating with a combination of inks, stamps, and stencils for a mixed media look. The elements on the page were secured with a variety of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products 🙂
To start the project there is some pre-work that will make the page come together with no stress:):)
Be Different Art Journal Page Prep
- 1. Using Distress Oxide inks, create a background mix. To achieve this, I used four coordinating colors, watered down, and randomly added to the page. Stamps and stencils were combined using Archival, for stamping, and Distress Oxide inks for stenciling.
2. The focal images, letters, and word strips were stamped with Distress Oxide inks. Then trimmed out.
Assembling the Art Journal Page
- 1. Decide what needs dimension and build layers. In the first picture, I used the 3D Foam Micro Squares for the branches and the bird feathers. These foam squares work great in small areas.
2. The thread is attached to the labels with the E-Z Runner Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Make sure to press into place to secure.
3. Add the birds with the 3D Foam Circles White Mix.
4. Use the 3D Foam Squares White Mix to adhere the letters as the page title.
5. To pop up the word strips, use the 3D Foam Strips. To complete the page, I speckled black acrylic paint on the page.
Thanks for stopping by!
Connie
