Hi everyone, Happy Friday! February is almost behind us… already?! Do you send cards or decorate for St. Patrick’s Day? I love all holidays! Leslie here, sharing a fun piece of decor with you. This St. Patrick’s Day shopping cart can sit on a mantel or side table. Or it can hold candy, chocolate coins, tags, mini cards, or whatever your heart desires! I’m really excited to show you this, so let’s get started!
Build the St. Patrick’s Day Shopping Cart
Using my Cricut Explore Air 2 and an SVG cut file in Cricut Design Space, I cut all the pieces. Medium green for the base, lighter green for the layers, and black for the wheels. My main adhesive for assembly was the E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser, It is the perfect size for the narrow grid structure. Also, in the mix, I used E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser and Dual Tip Glue Pen.
Next, I used two additional SVG cut files in Cricut Design Space for two shamrocks and ‘lucky’ words. Cut these from green glitterstock and black cardstock. Placed the ‘lucky’ words on Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in. to firmly adhere to the glitter cardstock. Employed my new favorite “Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside” technique to make some embellishments. Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors (black) with two 3D Foam Circles White Mix created perfect shiny embellishments for each shamrock. Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix added just enough dimension to adhere a shamrock to each side of the cart.
