Red, White and Blue Card

Hi, Ali (FunAdventuresWithAli) here today! Three cheers for my Red, White and Blue Card! How fun is this fourth of July card?! I created featuring the Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside technique with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Holographic Colors and 3D Foam Stars. The patterned papers from the adorable Doodlebug Fourth of July collection is perfect! We celebrate with my parents by having a cookout, enjoying drinks, relaxing together, and ending the day with fireworks. It’s one of my favorite traditions, so I wanted to make a special card just for them.

Red, White and Blue Card Front

For this card, I started with two 6 x 6″ patterned papers that reminded me of the American flag. I layered them onto a white cardstock card base using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Dispenser. For the sentiment, I used a sticker that I remove the stickiness with the powder tool and popped it up with the Crafty Foam Tape White 108ft. Center it on the card front.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Stars

My favorite part of this project is definitely the stars — because nothing says Fourth of July like sparkling stars and fireworks! I used Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Celebrate Colors along with 3D Foam Stars to create custom embellishments that perfectly matched the card.

Place the 3D Foam Stars where you want them on the card.
Remove the top liner from one star.
Lay a piece of Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Celebrate Colors over it (color side facing you).
Gently rub the foil to transfer the color, then peel it away to reveal the shine.
Repeat with other colors like blue, gold, and silver for a fun fireworks-inspired look.

Transferring the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Celebrate Colors onto the stars is so satisfying! In less than a minute, I had gorgeous shiny embellishments that look like little firecrackers bursting right off the card.
