Valentine’s Jar Shaker Card

Hello everyone, Yvonne here with a Valentine’s jar shaker card. With Valentine’s Day coming up in less than two weeks I thought you could use some romantic card inspiration. With Crafty Foam Tape White it is so easy to create a shaker frame.

Let me show you how I made my shaker card. Shall we get started?

Making the Jar Shaker Card Panel

Trim a piece of patterned paper to a rectangular size and adhere to a slightly larger grey cardstock with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Center the jar die on the card panel, secure it with removable tape or washi tape, and die-cut.

Creating the Jar Shaker

Flip the card panel over and run the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser along the edge of the window.

Adhere a piece of acetate over the window. Next, place Crafty Foam Tape White around the edges of the window. Make sure the edges are covered so that no shaker material can escape.

Continue to apply Crafty Foam Tape White to the edges of the panel to keep it level when adhering to the card base.

Now add shaker material such as tiny beads, hearts, and sequins on top of the acetate in the shaker window.

Remove only the Crafty Foam Tape White liner around the jar shaker window and place a white card panel on top. You have now created the shaker feature.

Assembling the Card Front

Remove the liner from the rest of the Crafty Foam Tape White and adhere the card panel onto a white card base.

Die-cut the lid for the jar with a piece of silver cardstock and adhere to the card panel above the jar window, using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Adhere a piece of pink ribbon on top of a wider piece of pink ribbon using Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/4in.

Then adhere the ribbon to the card again using Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/4in and fold the ribbon ends around the card.

Next, I adhered a silver heart charm on the ribbon with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. For the finishing touch, I adhered a printed sentiment over the heart using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix.
