Good Vibes Fun Fold Card

Hello everyone, it is Linda here, sharing a fun fold card made with good vibes of summer in mind. Possibly inspired by the fact that we are on the tail end of winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and dream of warmer days. You can see the step-by-step details as you follow along and make one for you!

Good Vibes Fun Fold Card Base

Cut a pink card base to measure 10cm x 30cm. With a scoreboard, score the card base at 2cm, 4cm, 7cm, 10cm, and 15cm to create different height steps.

Fold the card base along the score lines into mountain and valley folds to form the three steps of the card, the smallest at the front.

Embellishing the Card Background

Cut three strips of patterned paper measuring 1.5cm x 9.5cm; 2.5cm x 9.5cm and 4.5cm x 9.5cm. Adhere to the co-ordinating step using E-ZDots Permanent Refill Dispenser 15m

Cut a small patterned panel from the patterned paper and adhere to slightly larger pink card stock using E-ZDots Permanent Refill Dispenser 15m

Adhere to the middle of the highest step on the card base with above the step.

Stamp the image using black ink, colour using Alcohol Markers and fussy cut (hand cut using scissors). Add Adhesive Dots 3D to the body of the image and 3D Foam Strips to the limbs and hair. Adhere to the panel, along with the Chipboard and cardboard Stickers

Decorating the Middle Panel

Cut a second smaller Good Vibes panel from the patterned paper and adhere to slightly larger pink cardstock using E-Z Dots Permanent Refill Dispenser 15m.

Adhere Extreme Double-Sided tape 1/4in to the lower edge of the panel to ensure the panel is secured securely to the second step of the card base, slightly angled.

Adding More Details

At the same time with any Chipboard Stickers that will have part of the chipboard above the card base, trim the backing off below where it will be showing and add a strip of Extreme Double-Sided tape 1/4in across the sticker making sure it is across the cut seam on the backing, to ensure it stays on. For this Good Vibes card, I have used this technique on the crab and the sun.

Continue to decorate using both Chipboard and cardboard stickers.

Fall Leaves Thanks Card

Hi, everyone! Fall is here, and it’s the perfect time to make a thank you card inspired by the season! Teri here to show you to do just that with some leaf die cut shapes and a few basic paper crafting supplies! Let me show you my Fall Leaves Thanks Card process.

Make Fall Leaves

Start by die-cutting several leaves from white cardstock. Sponge ink onto them. I went with a light color scheme because I wanted my card to have a soft, muted feel. You could go with a darker color scheme if you want to make a more vibrant card.

Stack up and adhere some of your leftover die-cuts behind your inked up leaves. This will give them dimension once you adhere them to your card.

Decorate the Card Front

Mount a panel of patterned paper to a top-folded card. Take a sheet of adhesive and tear off part of it. Randomly apply some of the adhesives to your card. Dump glitter onto it to give the card sparkle!

Affix your leaves to the card, creating a leafy cluster as you go. Complete your card by stamping a sentiment on a strip of cardstock and mounting it to the card with 3D Foam Strips.

You’ll also want to add a few sequins or gems near the leaves. Designer’s Tip: one thing I like to do when adhering sequins is to push them down with a pencil eraser. The extra force really helps to make sure they are firmly affixed to the card.

I hope you are inspired by this card to make Fall-inspired Thank You card of your own! Remember, you don’t have to make a card exactly like mine! You can take elements of inspiration from it and run with it. A wreath or background made with die-cut leaves would look amazing! You could even change out the sentiment for a different occasion!

Layered Vintage Frame Card

Vintage Frame Card Base

First, fold a piece of white cardstock in half and trim it to a rectangular base card. Then trim 3 card panels from patterned paper and make sure that each panel is about 1/8 inch smaller than the other. With the biggest card panel being 1/8 inch smaller than the card base.

Now ink the edges of the front of the white card base and the patterned card panels using a brown ink pad and an ink blending tool.

Next, alter the edges of all card panels using a distressing tool. This way you create a worn look.

Then make some small tears on the edges of the patterned card panels. To create the layered effect, adhere the panels onto the card base using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Embellish the Vintage Frame

For my layered picture frame, I used images that I cut out using a craft knife.

Then adhered the vintage photo to the back of the large frame using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Now adhere to the card base using 3D Foam Squares Black Mix.

Adhere the smaller picture frame onto the larger frame with the vintage picture using 3D Foam Squares Black Mix to create extra dimension.

Embellishing the card.

To finish the card I wrinkled some seam binding ribbon and colored it with a little bit of brown ink to make it look more vintage. Then made a double bo wand adhered it to the card using Adhesive Dots Medium Ultra Thin.

The great thing about Adhesive Dots is that you will never have glue stains shining through the ribbon! And finally, adhere a pearl heart button onto the bow using Adhesive Dots Medium Ultra Thin.

Now you have created a vintage-styled card with lots of layers…isn’t that fun!

School Life Card Tutorial

Hi, Connie here with two cards celebrating “Back to School”. I’m using the School Life Paper Collection by Simple Stories along with 3D Foam adhesive for some fun dimensions. My inspiration came from a pair of antique children’s scissors. Check them out in the photos. They still have the original twine tied on the handle.

I did a quick step-out photo collage on the process of the “I Love School” card. Both cards were created with the same elements just arranged differently.

School Life Card Step Outs

1. Gather supplies and cut card stock and pattern paper to card size.
2. Adhere yellow cardstock to folded card using the EZ Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser.
3. Secure the patterned papers to the yellow cardstock with Crafty Foam Tape (my favorite)!
4. Layer coordinating die cut shapes to the card front. I used the tags for my focal on both cards. The 3D Foam Strips were used to adhere the borders at the bottom of the cards.
5. To lift layers, use 3D Foam Squares White Mix to give dimension to the die cut shapes and add to the card fronts.
6. The words strips were adhered using the 3D Foam Strips, so perfect for this!! I think they were made for this!!!

Fall Glittery Greetings

Hi, Jamie here with you today and I have a Fall Glittery Greetings card that has tons of sparkle – a beautiful way to bring in the fall season!

Glittery Greetings Card Base

Start with a tan card and die-cut the top flap with an edge die. Cut a strip of Adhesive Sheet that’s a little larger than your leaves, remove one side of the liner and place it in the center of your card. Cut an additional piece to place on the bottom of the inside of the card so that it is seen when the card is closed.

Die-cut your leaves from Fall colored cardstock.

Remove the top liner from the adhesive sheet and place three leaves on the adhesive as shown.

Sprinkle the rest of the adhesive with Mahogany glitter and rub with your finger to ensure adhesion. Also, remove the liner from the strip on the inside of the card and add glitter. Shake off the excess and return it to the bottle.

Place a strip of Crafty Power Tape above and below the glitter piece on the front of the card, remove the liners and sprinkle with Seafoam Green Glitter. Stamp Greetings on the bottom of the card with VersaMark Ink and emboss with Lettuce Embossing Powder. Stamp the sentiment on a strip of goldenrod cardstock with brown ink and pop up on the top of the card using 3D Foam Strips. Use a white gel pen to outline parts of the card as shown.

Friendship Oval Frame Card

Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing a friendship oval frame card with tiny daisies on an embossed oval frame for a sweet presentation. I was inspired by Simple Stories paper to add layered center dots on the daisies. These papers are some of my favorite colors!

Oval Frame Step Outs

Use die-cutting machine to cut and emboss oval frame from navy cardstock. Then rub Distress Oxide Tattered Rose ink pad over the raised design to highlight it.

Stamp Verse

Stamp verse with navy ink on grid paper from Simple Stories Tags paper and center the oval frame over verse to trace with a pencil. Next, cut around verse inside of the pencil line.

Use E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive on the back of the oval frame. Press in place over the verse.

Assemble Flowers

Die-cut three small daisies from white cardstock using a die cutting machine and flower die.

Use 1/4 inch hole punch to punch three navy circles and use a slightly smaller punch to cut three gold circles.

Apply Adhesive Dots Micro to back of the gold circle. Remove liner and press in place on the center of a navy dot. Repeat to make three flower centers.

Place an Adhesive Dots Micro on the back of the assembled dots and place it in the center of the daisy. Repeat for the other two daisies. Fasten each daisy to the oval frame using Adhesive Dots Micro

Assemble Card Base

Form a 3.25 x 5.75-inch card from white cardstock.

Cut stripe paper 3.25 x 4.5 inches and flower paper 3.25 x 1.25 inches. Use E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive to the back of each piece. Secure each piece to the card front.

Cut .5 x 3.25-inch piece of navy stripe paper and dot paper. Apply adhesive with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to back of navy stripe paper and fasten over dot paper allowing about 0.125 inch reveal.

Apply adhesive to back of stripe and dot piece and fasten it on card front over the seam between peach stripe and flower papers.

Adhere the Oval Frame

Place large squares of Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix to back of the oval frame. Remove liners and adhere the oval frame to the card front.

Add Ribbon

Tie silk ribbon into a small bow, and attach it to the frame using Adhesive Dots Micro

Happily Ever After Twist Easel Card

Hello everyone, it is Linda here sharing an elegant Happily Ever After Twist Easel Card. Did you know that wedding cards are one of the cards people are most likely to keep? I have created this interactive with the help of 3D Foam Products for varying heights. It may not surprise you to know I love dimension on a project. So follow along and see how easy it is!

Twist Easel Card Base

Make a 12.5cm square card base from a white card, along with a single 12.5cm square white card front. Score the front of the card diagonally on the inside from top left to bottom right corners. Fold and score the fold so that the front of the card sits up in a mountain fold.

Cut two 12cm x 12cm squares using patterned paper. Adhere the one piece of patterned paper to the lower portion of the card base using the E-Z Grand Permanent Strips Dispenser.

Adhere the second 12cm x 12cm square of patterned paper to the single piece of cardstock. Apply E-Z Grand Permanent Strips Dispenser 150 feet to the diagonal portion of the card base and attach the single card front.

Cut recycled corrugated packaging to 4cm x 12cm. Attach patterned paper cut to the same size using the E-Z Grand Permanent Strips Dispenser 150 feet. Adhere this to the base of the card front approximately 3cm from the lower edge. The card base is complete, now to decorate.

Embellishing the Twist Easel Card

Adhere 3D Foam Strips To the top and bottom of the decorative sentiment circle, Remove the backing, and adhere across the dimensional strip. Adhere the Chipboard Sticker to the top right portion of the circle,

Apply 3D Foam Strips to the back of the sentiment, trim to size. Add an Adhesive Dots 3D to the back of three flowers.

Remove the backing from the sentiment strip and secure it underneath the cardboard embellishment. Remove the backing from the Adhesive Dots 3D and arrange the flowers on the dimensional strip.

Adhere Adhesive Dots 3D to the back of the Scalloped Sentiment tag. Adhere a strip of Extreme Double-Sided tape 1/4in 1cm from the lower edge of the card front Easel.

Remove the red tape From the Extreme Double-Sided tape 1/4in, attach a strip of lace, and followed with the coordinating Washi Tape from the Collection. Add the popped-up sentiment to the centre of the top portion of the card front, adding coordinating Chipboard Stickers on either side.

Add an Adhesive Dots 3D to the back of three flowers, Remove the backing from the Adhesive Dots 3D and arrange the flowers above the left-hand side of the Washi Tape, along with a portion of the Swirls Finesse. Finish with varying size pearls to the top corners of the card front and base.

Happy Colorful Birthday Card

Hi, everyone! Do you like colors? Teri here to show you how to make a bold birthday card by adding lots of color to the sentiment. To create this Happy Colorful Birthday Card, you’ll need a large sentiment die! It’s key to the design.

Creating a Colorful Birthday Sentiment

Start by applying a sheet of 3D Foam Creative Sheet Medium to the back of a piece of white cardstock. I like my paper to be just a little bigger than the foam sheet.

Place the birthday sentiment die onto the panel and run it through your manual die-cutting machine. Then use markers to scribble color over the die cut sentiment! When I like to make colorful cards, I tend to use a rainbow color scheme! You don’t have to follow my lead! Instead, try using a couple of different colors together. Green, purple and blue is a nice color combo! Another fun combo is pink and orange…many possibilities!

Once you have added the color, remove your sentiment. Also, consider saving the leftover pieces from your sentiment to use on another card.

Embellishing the Card

Apply patterned paper to a folded card. Add your sentiment. Embellish the sentiment by adding a couple of colored stamped images to it.

Complete the card by adding a few adhesive stars topped with flock or glitter and some sequins!

You can easily take my design and create the exact same card. You can also take elements from my design and do your own thing! Just remember, adding color to your birthday sentiment will make the card pop. Adhering the sentiment to foam will make it pop even more!

Metallic Background Layout

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a fun and sparkly little layout to share. Find out how I created this metallic background. Here are all of the details.

Metallic Background Design

First I started with a sheet of 12×12 black cardstock. Next, using the 1/2″ 3D Foam Circles Black Mix circles, I adhered one to the middle of each side of the cardstock. I then connected those dots using Crafty Foam Tape Black.

Using the 1/2″ 3D Foam Circles Black Mix circles again, add them in from the corners of the layout about 1.5″.

Now add 3D Foam Circles Black Mix again just in a bit from the previously placed circles. Begin connecting those dots again on this Metallic Background using Crafty Foam Tape Black.

This design begins to look more and more Art Deco-inspired as I create this Metallic Background.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside

Remove the backing from the outer pieces of Crafty Foam Tape Black and add the fine gold foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors.

Remove the backing from the inner Crafty Foam Tape Black square, and the outer 3D Foam Circles Black Mix and cover them with the fine silver Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors. The metallic background is coming together. Cover the first 3D Foam Circles Black Mix placed in the same gold Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors as already used.

Mat the 2 photos in white cardstock using the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser and add Creative Photo Corners Gold. Adhere the photos to the Metallic Background using 2 layers of Crafty Foam Tape Black. I created the simple little title using letter stickers matted in coordinating cardstock. Then adhere to the layout using the small 3D Foam Circles Black Mix.

The final touch is to add a little extra sparkle by way of pretty sequins and Adhesive Dots Micro.

Happy Hello Striped Card

Hi, Connie here with a Happy Hello Striped Card background idea that uses Foam Crafty Tape 108′ for sizing and dimension. It sounds complicated but it isn’t, just takes some crafty time. Get your favorite patterned paper and let’s get started.

Happy Hello Card Background Steps

1. Cut patterned paper into strips, adhere Foam Crafty Tape 108′ to the strip of paper and attach at an angle on the card front. You could do any direction you want, up and down , side to side or make up a totally different pattern.
2. Once the strip is down, turn over the paper and cut off the hang over on each side.
3. Continue on using different papers that coordinate together doing step 1 & 2.
4. Add very small, thin strips, where more color is needed, adhering with the Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Assembling the Card

1. Adhere the stripped card front to a folded card base using the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser.
2. Stamp out Robin bird, color and trim out. Stamp out sentiment and use a die to cut the strip into a rectangle shape for the card front. Attach the sentiment strip using the 3D Foam Squares Black Small. Cut an oval mat for the center of the card. Adhere the Robin bird inside the oval shape using the 3D Circle Black Mix to complete the card.
