Autumn Canvas

Happy Saturday, my crafty friends! It’s Lisa here with you today to share a canvas that I made to celebrate Autumn. I love making decor pieces like this. They don’t require a ton of supplies and really come together so easily.

I used some Distress paint to create the background along with a stencil and a Gold embossing paste. Once all that was dry I went over the edges with PanPastel in Copper.

To create the tree I downloaded a cut file from my Silhouette. (This one is called Leafless Bare Tree by Alaa’K.) I cut it 4 times out of Kraft cardstock, stacked each one on top of each other and adhered them together with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable. Then I stamped it with Versamark using a woodgrain stamp, and went over it again using PanPastels in Copper and Bronze. (I’m sorry that my photos don’t show how pretty and shimmery the tree looks from this.)

I cut tiny strips from my roll of white Crafty Foam Tape to apply under the tree. And I tucked some Fall Leaf Sequins from Lawn Fawn under the branches. I also used some of the 3D Foam Leaves, applied some glitter, and tucked those into some branches as well. So sparkly!

To finish it off I used the Silhouette again to cut the word “Autumn” out of some glitter paper. I adhered this down using some of the thin, small white 3D Foam Squares that I cut in half. I also tied a bow around my little tree using some hemp twine and secured it in place using a Dodz™ – small.

This is a very easy canvas  to make and will be fun to hang up for this Fall Season.
