Hello friends! It’s Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this fun & fast little card featuring a shaker pocket. Shaker elements add a lovely touch of movement to our projects. I love to have cards on hand and using up bits & pieces of collections is so rewarding!
The Start of the Shaker Pocket Card
I had a scrap of patterned paper that was perfect for my card base. I used a bone folder to create a crisp fold and then I rounded two of the corners on the front of the card. Next, I a chose frame and used the Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/8-inch to attach a piece of acetate to my shaker window. The little strips are so easy to remove!
Next, it was time to use 3D Foam Strips to create a little well to corral our sequin mix.
I like to wait to take off the little foam strips until I am happy with the number of sequins inside.
A scrap of vellum was perfect to seal the sequins into the cute little shaker frame.
I am smitten with the Thin 3D Foam Squares Mix in White! I used three of them on the back of my sentiment piece. They add the perfect amount of dimension. If you need a little more depth, just double them up!
The E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser was clutch for attaching the shaker frame to my card base. The adhesive stayed hidden behind the vellum!
I detail cut out a few little floral elements and then popped up the center flower on another Thin 3D Foam Squares Mix in White and this project was complete!
Thanks for stopping by!
