Hi, Judy here! I’m thinking ahead to the holidays with this Glittered Frame Holiday Wishes Card. The frame is two frames from 3D Foam Frames covered with glitter along with some glitter on stamped and colored holly makes this card sparkle.
Glittered Frame Card Foundation
- On a piece of 4.25 x 11 inch white cardstock, score 3.5 inch and 2.125 inch on the other end with the 11 inch side on top. Fold both ends inward.
- Place on the 3.5 inch end only the Linen embossing folder and pass through a die cutting and embossing machine.
- Using the same embossing folder, emboss a piece of 3.5 x 4.5 inch white cardstock rectangle.
- Cut a 3.375 x 4.25 inch rectangle and a 0.75 x 4.25 strip from red cardstock. Use the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser to the red strip and fasten to the edge of embossed end of the card allowing a narrow reveal.
Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Frames
Peel the top liners off of the second and third largest frames on a sheet of the 3D Foam Frames. Place the embossed white cardstock piece face down over the frames and press to adhere well. Gently pull cardstock with the two 3D Frames away from 3D Foam Frames sheet.
Cover the exposed 3D Foam Frames with Distress Clear Glitter, press glitter into frames to secure and tap off the excess glitter. Trim away paper that extends beyond frame.
Assemble the Card
Use the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser to mat the glittered panel to the red cardstock rectangle. Place the matted frame panel on card front – make sure you apply the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser on the back left side of the panel (maybe mark the area before apply adhesive).
Assemble the Holly
Stamp and die cut two branches on watercolor paper. Use a water brush with Distress stains to paint holly. Dry with heat gun.
Use a small brush to apply glue from the Dual Tip Glue Pen on holly shapes. Then cover with glitter and remove excess. Set aside to dry.
The Greeting
Stamp and die cut the greeting on white cardstock. Place Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix on the back of the greeting and adhere on card in lower right corner of the frame.
Add the Holly to the Glittered Frame Card
Trim the branch end off of one holly branch and cut it apart. (See cut pieces in above photo).
Place Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix on back of larger piece of cut apart holly and fasten near top corner of frame. Then add Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix on back of branch tip and tuck it under other piece.
Adhere the remaining holly branch along edge of frame (note how the leaves fall on frame and extend beyond frame). Place 3D Foam Squares White Mix on holly that extends beyond frame and apply adhesive with E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser on parts that lay on frame. Peel liners and fasten second holly branch.
