You’ve Been Framed Tag

Hi there!!! Connie here with a You’ve Been Framed Tag, that was super fun to make. I live in rural Texas so this was especially right up my alley. Also chickens do have an attitude 🙂 🙂

You’ve Been Framed Tag Background

Instead of a store bought tag, I hand cut a 4 1/4” x 7 1/4” white mixed media cardstock. But you can size it to your liking. Clip the corners and punch a top hole. Now all it needs is to add some color. That’s the fun part!

Water down the Distress Oxide inks and randomly add to the tag base. Once dried, stamp the background Power Lines stamp with black ink. This stamp design certainly spoke to me for this tag.

Stamp and Cut Elements

Stamp the images using a stamping platform and the E-Z Runner Grand Repositionable Dots Refillable Dispenser, to hold the image in place. Hand cut the images and color with watercolors, pencils or markers.  I used the left-over color from the Distress Oxide inks.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Stars

  1. Remove the top release sheet from the 3D Foam Stars and lay the foil on top (color side facing you). I used the gold color from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Color.
  2. Rub the foil over the star to transfer the color and pull up. Easy !!!
  3. Gently remove foiled star from the sheet. Set aside for placement on tag.

Assemble the Tag

  1. Adhere the cow portrait to the inside of the frame using 3D Foam Squares Black Regular.
  2. Secure the frame with the E-Z Runner Grand White Permanent Refillable Dispenser.
  3. Using the positive and negative of the 3D Foam Circle Mix Black for the crazy chicken.
  4. Adhere the word strips with the 3D Foam Strips Black.
  5. Complete the tag by adding white paint splatters and black finger smears to the edges of the tag.
  6. Outline the frame with a gold paint pen.
  7. Last but not least, add the fabric tie topper.

Designer tip: The negative, from the 3D Foam adhesives, is like bonus dimensional adhesive. Like free 🙂 🙂
