Hi everyone, it is Christine here today sharing with you an altered heart project.
I selected an MDF heart and some patterned paper – Fancy Pants, Memories Captured. Drew around the heart with a pencil and cut it out.
It was then simple to adhere the paper to the MDF using MyStik® Permanent Strips , as you can see because it dispenses in tiny adhesive strips and is therefore perfect for curves.
I sanded the edges of the heart gently, applied distress ink and stamped a script design to the bottom section.
I then selected a rectangle of patterned paper, distressed and inked the edges. I also raided my material box and found some hessian and frayed the edges, both of these will strongly adhere to my project with Crafty Power Tape.
Because this is a gift for my niece I placed a special photo of her inside a Keepsake Envelope, this will save it getting dusty and adds a nice touch. These come in a variety pack so there’s always a right size for whatever you place inside!I then added some lace, twine, a die cut Spellbinders® Create A Sunflower and a little brad to represent a closure on the Keepsake Envelope. The sunflower is firmly in place with 3D Foam Squares – White, Regular.
A completed gift and made speedy with the perfect adhesives.
Thank you for joining me today and remember to keep stopping by the Crafty Power Blog for lots of inspirational projects.
