Vintage Notebook

Hi everyone, I’m back today with a vintage notebook.  I truly love the whole vintage, distressed, shabby chic look and these papers from Glitz – French Kiss collection are absolutely perfect.  I selected the pretty bird image from their ‘Whatnots’ and peeking behind this image is one of their ‘Paper Layers’.

To create the notebook I used some Spellbinders die templates – Grand Rectangles and Rose Creations.  I covered Nestaboard, created inner pages, inserted a binding wire and distressed the edges.  I then began to decorate the front cover.  To create a dimensional frame for the pretty bird image I used the very useful 3D Foam Squares.

I also chose to use Kraft Photo Corners on the frame, inked lightly – again it adds to that pretty vintage look.

My rose flowers are fixed in place with Mounting Squares.  These are initially repositionable – ideal for when I’m trying to make my mind up as to where I want to place my flowers!

Attaching the lace was done with ease using E-Z Dots, they are translucent so nothing shows through.

The finished notebook, I like it so much I’m reluctant to write in it!

Some close up shots…

Have fun creating.
