Abstract Jewel Card and Refilling the E-Z Runner Grand

Hello everyone, Yvonne here!  Yes… after many months of intense use, and over one hundred cards made, I managed to use up my first Refill of 150ft of Permanent Strips! Today I have a jewel embellished abstract watercolored card for you.

Replacing the Refill

First I will show you how to replace the refill of the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. Remember to remove the protective nose cap of the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser.

Then press the button on the left side to open the casing. Lift the refill cartridge. Replace with a new E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refill.

Note that you can replace the refills at any time, if you want to switch between the other adhesives: Permanent Dots, Repositionable Dots, or Ultra Strong.

Notice there are 3 prongs inside the casing, simply line up the refills with the prongs. There is no winding or threading, and it takes about 30 seconds or less!

Finish by closing the top cover. Yes…it is that simple to get ready for a lot more crafting!

Making the Abstract Jewel Card

Start by making the watercolored background. For my card I used pigment powder which was sprinkled over a piece of white cardstock and then gently sprayed some water with mister. Let it dry thoroughly or use a heat tool to dry.

The watercolored cardstock is adhered to salmon cardstock and a white card base using my freshly refilled E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser.

Now die-cut and emboss the abstract element from gold cardstock. Adhere the element to the card using 3D Foam Squares White Mix. If necessary cut the 3D Foam Squares into small strips to fit the die cut.

Adhere the jewels to the gold die cut using Adhesive Dots Mini.

Finally finish the card with small vertical strips from the narrow end of the Dual Tip Glue Pen, and sprinkle it with glitter while it’s still wet. Allow it to dry, about 5 minutes.
