Cute Halloween Ghosts Card

Hi everyone, Yvonne here with a cute Halloween Ghosts card. With Halloween coming up (my, how time flies!) I thought you might like some adorable ghoulish inspiration.

I had some much fun making this card with some cute details like the glittered tombstones I made using E-Z Squares® Refillable Dispenser and the glittered border made with a little help of the Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Would you like to know how I made the card? Well, I would love to share it with you. Let’s get started.

Halloween Ghosts Card Background

To keep with the Halloween theme, I used purple cardstock and orange ink. Simply dab some ink with an ink blending tool onto the purple cardstock to create an orange cloud shape.

Make sure to use chalky ink so the inked area is clearly visible on top of the purple cardstock.

Next, I stamped and colored ghost images with colored pencils. Then fussy cut them out with detailing scissors.

Next, die-cut a house, tombstones and fences from black cardstock.

Decorate the Tombstones

Embellish the tombstones by adding glitter. To achieve this, I applied E-Z Squares® Refillable Dispenser onto the die cuts, sprinkle black glitter on the top. Press the glitter into the adhesive and tap off excess.

This simple technique is called Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside. Taking our adhesive from beneath layers to shine as an accent/embellishment.

Assembling the Card

Now it’s time to put all the elements together to create this cute card. Adhere the spooky house onto the purple card panel using 3D Foam Squares Black Small Size.

Let’s add the fences. The E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser was used because I can simply run it over the back of the fence die cut and it will hit the design – no stringy residue.

Lift up and adhere the tombstone and ghost die cuts with 3D Foam Squares Black Small Size.

Customize Card Size

Since I did not know exactly how large my Halloween card would turn out, I waited until I finished the card panel to make the second layer.

The panel I created is a thick dimensional scene. So with a craft knife and a steel ruler, I hand trimmed the orange cardstock to fit the card panel. Cut the white cardstock into a card base to fit the matted panel.

Adhere the purple card panel to the orange panel with the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser. Next, adhere to a white folded card base using the same adhesive.

Glittering Touch

For the ground area on my card, I added a line of glass glitter. Apply Dual Tip Glue Pen in a horizontal line on the card front to create the ground area. This glue pen is perfect for adhering the glitter because it dries clear! Next, sprinkle the glass glitter over the glue and tap off any excess. Let dry thoroughly.

Punch out a sentiment on my label maker and adhere to the card. Voila…your cute Halloween ghosts card is ready!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and wish you happy crafting!
