Mixed Media Gift Tag – Thanks

Hello blog readers! It’s Angela today sharing a mixed media tag using negative space.

Mixed Media Gift Tag - Thanks Tag by Angela Ploegman

First up, I inked a manila tag with a selection of pink, red and blue inks. Then I sprinkled some water on the tag to create an aged look. Once dry, I stamped on the tag and applied a die cut piece of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Adhesive Sheets – 12×12″ – love how this adhesive cuts so cleanly and DOESN’T gum up my dies! To the adhesive, I applied some silver leafing.

I then backed the entire tag with another part of the Adhesive Sheets – 12×12″. I kept the tag on the adhesive backing and die cut the letters out of the tag. Then I removed the adhesive backing and adhered the entire tag to a piece of card stock. In order to include some money or a gift card with this thank you tag, I used a Keepsake Envelopes – Mixed on the reverse side of the tag.

Easy, peasy – right?

TIP: Save the letters. They can be used on another project and they’re already backed edge to edge with adhesive!

I also made a CONGRATS tag using the same idea for a graduation party we recently attended:
