Hi, Connie here with a card that screams Spring! I created Especially for You Card with Whimsy Stamps and some of the new products by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I was really excited about the 3D Foam Circle Frames Black and thought they would work well for showcasing the stamped image.
Especially for You Stamping
The beautiful Lilac & Butterfly stamp was stamped on white cardstock, colored with Distress Oxide inks and then splattered with silver Perfect Pearls. The image was then cut down to a 4″x4″. I used a stamping platform so the butterfly image could be re-stamped several times, resulting in a rich black color on the butterfly wings.
Creating the Card Front
Cut the 3D foam circle frames Black in half and adhere them to the card front. Apply Perfect Pearls over the top of the 3DFoam Circle Frame Black with a soft brush. The card front is ready to be adhered to the back.
- 1. I used an embossing folder to create the first layer behind the card front. I used Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/2″ to adhere to the first layer.
2. Trim the purple cardstock to 4″x 4″ as a second layer. Using the Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/2″, adhere to the card front.
3. I used Crafty Foam Tape White 54ft to adhere the card front to the purple cardstock layer.
4. Emboss the sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing powder. I used 3D Foam Strips Large Black to adhere the sentiment strip to the card front.
Adhere the completed card panel to the grey cardstock. I thought the new 3D foam products worked so well at highlighting the beautiful butterfly. So perfect!!
