Hi, everyone! Like to hit the road? Teri here with a fun idea for you! Inspired by the designs from the Safe Travels Collection by Simple stories, I made some handmade greeting cards for your next road trip. These can be sent to your loved ones and friends! Let’s get started on these cards for travelers!

Create a Card for Travelers with Patterned Paper + Lots of Little Details
Start by applying a panel of patterned paper and a few additional strips of paper to a card created from cardstock.
Cut a tag from patterned paper. Flip it over and apply some adhesive onto it. Randomly affix some thread onto it, allowing it to peek out from behind the tag. Add the tag to your card.
Pick a couple of travel-themed die-cuts for your card. Embellish one of them by adding an adhesive star and flock to it, as well as a sequin and sticker. Mount your die-cuts to your card. Give them by affixing them with 3D Foam Strips Large in White. I really enjoy using strips because you can easily cut them up so you can use just pieces.
Embellish your card by adding some Creative Photo Corners Kraft to it. Rather than using your corners in a traditional sense, use them like arrows as I did. Finish your card by adding a few additional sequins and stickers, if desired.
Additional Traveler Card Ideas
This card is similar to the first card I shared.
Rather than using die-cuts, I added an airplane sticker to it! I wanted the sticker to have some pop so I mounted it to the card with the 3D Foam Squares Micro in White.
Like the first two cards, this card uses lots of patterned paper.
To make it stand out, I embellished it with the die-cut banner and word strips. Again, I wanted them to pop off my card so I once again pulled out my 3D Foam Squares Micro in White! I also added a few Creative Photo Corners Kraft to mimic the look of arrows.
I hope you are inspired to make a few travel-inspired cards for your travelers.
Happy creating!
Teri Anderson

I love the metallic foil that comes with 3D Foam Holiday Embellishment Kit with Foil; it gives everything an extra shime.
Since Halloween is coming up, Spooky Night is one of my favourite Simple Stories, due to all the fun prints.
