Hi, Jamie here today with a masculine-inspired birthday card, Have a Ball Birthday Card, that is perfect if your guy is a sports lover.
Have a Ball Birthday Card Base
Start with making a texture on the card panel with a 4 x 5 1/4″ white cardstock and an embossing folder that has sports-related words. Run through a die-cutting machine. Next, glue on top of a tan card base using the Dual Tip Glue Pen.
Since I had my die-cutting machine out, I cut a basketball and a soccer ball. The black outline and details were glued together with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. There were other sports pieces that I die-cut but not pictured such as baseball and football. Some were inked for shading before assembly.
The Focal Point
Die-cut a circle from tan cardstock. Stamp a sentiment on the front with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Add a combination of 3D Foam Strips and 3D Foam Squares White Regular on the back to pop it up on the center of the card. The shapes are perfect for this Have a Ball Birthday Card!
To be level with the tan circle, 3D Foam Circles White was placed on the portion of the balls that were over the embossed panel. Secure the rest of the balls with the Dual Tip Glue Pen onto the tan circle.
Diagonal Sentiment
Stamp the sentiment and embossed it on a white cardstock strip, layered onto a larger piece of black cardstock using Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4in. Pop up the matted sentiment on a diagonal across the top of the tan circle with 3D Foam Strips.
Add the Final Touches
Lastly, randomly place orange enamel dots on the card front for the finishing touch. Done!
