Hi, Emily here today! I’m very excited to share a super simple yet unique Peep Hole Card that will be sure to impress your loved ones! Featuring the 3D Foam Squares Micro, I am using it in two different ways; one where they are not seen, and the other where they are! Let’s dig into it!
What is a Peep Hole Card?
This type of card is called a Peep Hole Card, that’s what I best know it as! The trick is to pick your card base and die-cut the image out of just the front of your card. You want to make sure your card base is open so you aren’t cutting completely through your card. Then, you’ll use the part you die cut out to put on the inside of your card, where the hole is so you can see through to the front!
3D Foam Squares Micro Use #1
That’s where the 3D Foam Squares Micro comes into play! I knew I wanted to use the micro squares for my heart image so it would “pop” off the inside of my Peep Hole Card. The 3D Foam Squares Micro are SO handy when it comes to intricate die cuts such as this one. They are small enough to put behind the image so you can still add that little bit of dimension to your card.
This part was quite simple! This is such a fun and unique way to send a Peep Hole Card to someone you love. Now for the front of my card, I knew I wanted to add some sort of sentiment, so I die cut out a lovely saying that would span across the whole heart image on the front. I then adhered this on just the edges with the Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix, which provided enough space between the base of my heart and the heart.
3D Foam Squares Micro Use #2
From there I knew the outside needed just a little sparkle, so I decided to add some more of the 3D Foam Squares Micro White to the front of my Peep Hole Card. Did you know you can use these with some Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors to add some shine? I felt this was the perfect touch for my card, adding some of the lavender and yellow foils from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors to match the splatter pattern on my card base.
While a simple card indeed, it is a show stopper and something your loved ones would be sure to rave about! I have a full process video sharing the process into this beautiful Peep Hole Card!
Thanks for Visiting!
