Hello y’all, Lara here today and I am sharing my love of Traveler’s Notebooks. I wish I was more interested in them while in Japan a couple of years ago but C’est la vie! Using great patterned paper and a few embellishments, I created this Beautiful Moments Traveler’s Notebook! What a wonderful addition to my favorite leather notebook. Also a fun gift idea for anyone who loves notebooks or documenting things on paper.
Beautiful Moment Traveler’s Notebook Start
To create the cover, I cut a piece of patterned paper to 8.25 x 9.75″ and scored it in half. Next, scored the ends just slightly smaller than 0.5″ so they would wrap around the cover in case, it needed to be removed in the future. I tend to get bored with covers frequently.
Designer’s Note: use the E-Z Runner® Grand Repositionable Dots Refill to secure it until you want to change it out. This adhesive will peel off and will not hurt the notebook surface…just rub off the adhesive dots.
Gather Up Supplies to Finish Up
I used a fun stamp set, along with the Versafine black ink and clear embossing powder to bring out the fine details of the images. For dimension, I grabbed the Crafty Foam Tape Black 108ft. and the 3D Foam Strips. To secure part of the sentiment, I will use the Adhesive Dots Small.
First, I stamped the camera design on a piece of white cardstock with Versafine black ink. Next, sprinkle clear embossing powder over the camera and tap off the excess. Then melt the clear embossing powder with a heating tool. Designer’s Note: Use the heating tool under the paper to prevent the powder from blowing away. Once it starts to melt you can directly heat until it’s completely melted. Fussy cut the camera image once cooled.
For impact, I stacked two layers of the Crafty Foam Tape Black 108ft. behind the camera and adhered it to the upper half of the patterned paper cover. Next, pop up the small stamped sentiment strip with the 3D Foam Strips and place it underneath the camera. Lastly, adhere the vellum word with the Adhesive Dots Small. I added the adhesive dots behind the colored letters to hide but if you have the E-Z Runner Permanent Fine, it is designed to work with vellum.
