Elegant and Simple 50th Anniversary Card Tutorial

It is wedding season which also means that anniversaries are coming up! I was asked to create a 50th wedding anniversary card – what an honor! I’d like to share how I created this beautiful 50th wedding anniversary card – so simple! PROMISE!

First I cut/embossed the frame die set with a combination of white cardstock and gold mirror cardstock. I embossed the largest die cut to create texture and interest.

I found another oval die that fit perfectly into the oval space and a landing area for the butterfly. The layers that are mentioned so far were adhered by E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips onto the white card base.

After cutting/embossing the butterfly die, I applied DODZ™ Medium to its center and placed it on the card front. Are you familiar with our Dodz™ products? It is a double-sided, clear adhesive easy to use. They have a strong bond making them perfect for intricate objects like this butterfly die cut. Love their single dot dispenser – no fighting the stickness! LOL!

I gently bent the butterfly’s wings for dimension and added a pearl in the center. It’s ready to given…another look.
