Daisy Mix Thank You Card by Christine Emberson

I’m delighted to be partaking in the Stampendous® and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® blog hop.  My eye was immediately drawn to the wonderful Cling Daisy Mix stamp set.  The set has a variety of daisy designs and I set to work using one of them as a background for my project.  Randomly stamping is easy! Keeping the theme black and white I made a striking thank you card.  Assembled with MyStik® Permanent Strips Dispenser and with the addition of 3D Foam Squares, Regular Black to add definition it was a simple make – ideal if you have a lot of thank you cards to send! Daisy Mix Altered Frame by Judy Hayes

Designer Judy Hayes decorated a painted frame with colorful glittered daisies. She added texture to the frame using cheesecloth and glued on it with Dual Tip Glue Pen. The daisies and leaves were stamped with Cling Daisy Mix Rubber Stamp Set, colored with Distress Crayons, and cut with Daisy Mix Die Cut Set. Spring Micro Glitter Kit along with Dual Tip Glue Pen were used to add glitter to daisies and leaves.  Dual Tip Glue Pen was also used on daisy centers with Chunky Metallic Seasonings. She used 3D Foam Squares White, Regular and 3D Foam Squares White, Small along with Adhesive Dots Mini to fasten them to frame.  These pretty daisies could easily be used on a card or a gift box. I had fun creating this card using fabulous products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Stampendous®! I usually don’t create scenes for my cards (even though I love those cards when I see them) but this stamp set really makes it super easy to create so many fun little forest scenes with different little critters. My son just got this cute little owl stuffed animal and he’s kinda obsessed with it so I just had to use the cute little owl in this set. I watercolored the entire scene and then using the awesome matching dies, I cut out the owl and leaves. I was super surprised when I die cut my images that there was no white space like I thought there would be – nope, these dies take the fussy completely out of fussy cutting. So cool! Then I started assembling my card using a mix of Thin 3D Foam Squares and 3D Foam Squares to create different dimensions on the card. I used E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser to adhere all the card pieces that I didn’t want dimensional.

Hi! It’s Erica and today I’m sharing two cards I created using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser and 3D Foam Creative Sheets, with Stampendous®! Cling Rose Bouquet Rubber Stamp Set and its matching Rose Bouquet Die Set. I love the versatility of this stamp and die cut set, not only does it look lovely stamped simply with black ink, it’s also striking on pattern paper, there are so many ways to use this set!

Thanks card using new DODZ™ Mini

Hello!  Happy Friday!  AJ here sharing a recent card I made using some of my most favorite adhesives. 😉

AJOtto-Thanks-002I am ALWAYS in need of thank yous.  You cant ever have enough!

My card is pretty straight forward in design- I used watercolor paper to stamp my focal image, colored it in, and popped it up with Crafty Foam Tape.  The black strip is adhered using the E-Z Runner® Grand.

I adhered the sequins with our new Dodz™ Mini– I just love those!

Mixed Media ATC Cards

Hi Everyone, it’s Carisa Zglobicki with another guest post on the Crafty Power Blog! I have a fun project for you today using some great Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products on mixed media ATCs.

These are so fun to make and because of their mini size, they take really no time at all. As a card maker at heart, it took me a long while to tackle a big journal or canvas. I feel like working on these Artist Trading Cards took me back to my roots in a way because of their small size.

I started with three canvases and mounted them on ATC sized Art Squares by Inchie Arts. These mat boards are super study and were the perfect mounting for my canvas to withhold all the media I was about to use. Each one started with a layer of gesso and background stamping for texture. Then I added some color using paint. Each one I applied a bit differently.

or the one above, I also added Brown Pigment Powder by watering it down with some water on my craft sheet and adding it to the top of the canvas, spraying more water and letting it drip down the page. I love how it grunges it up a bit yet adds some shimmer.

For others, I added some texture with Textured Ribbons and Gauze that was easily adhered to my surface with Art Medium.

Sequined Dream Card

Hello there Latisha here with you today, sharing a layered card an easy way to get teeny tiny sequins onto projects. I might be over using this stamp right now, but I just absolutely love the saying, and is so great to give as “pick me up” cards.

Instructions:

  1. Cut/score card stock.
  2. Trim pattern paper and adhere to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner® Grand Dispenser.IMG_2486
  3. Stamp sentiment onto pattern paper. IMG_2485
  4. Diecut sentiment into a rectangle, adhere to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape (white). IMG_2487
  5. Tie ribbon around the card.
  6. Adhere sequins to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz™ Mini. These new Dodz size are perfect to adhere all of your small embellishments onto projects, such as sequins. IMG_2488

Photo Transfer & Collages in a Art Journal with the Art Medium

Hi there,

it’s Stephanie here today I want to show you a Art Journal Page I created by using the versatile Art Medium. I had so much fun with it.

The Art Medium is a gel medium you can use to adhere collages, to mix it with pigment powders or also to make some photo transfers. This is a really versatile art medium you don’t want to miss.

Here is how I made my photo transfers.

1 – Collect some paper scraps, tissue papers, book pages, look out a brush and the  Art Medium.

2 – Create a collage with papers by using the Art Medium. Just apply with a brush on your page and assemble your collage.

3 – Print out a photo with your printer (Ink Jet is good) and apply 2 layers of  Art Medium on it. Let dry every layer.

4 – Apply another layer of Art Medium and also apply a layer of  Art Medium directly onto the page.

5 – Lay down the photo and use a brayer or your hands to adhere it. Let it dry some hours.

6 – Apply a bit of water on your photo and then rub carefully with your finger. The photo will appear.  Now apply another layer of  Art Medium to make the transfer clearer. Then it’s up to you to add paint, words, stamps or anything else to complete your art journal page.

I gave my motive an outline with a black pen and added some watercolor paint on it to finished the page.

Spring Card

Good morning! Michele here with a card perfect for spring!  It uses a soft watercolor palette and sparkles of glitter.  I added flowers, leaves, and a glitter doily using Dodz Adhesive Dots Medium to secure everything.  Once the panel was decorated, I adhered it to the card using Crafty Foam Tape.

Be A Voice Card

This card started of as a small 4 x 4″ piece of watercolor cardstock. I simply added some beautiful blends of watercolor and allowed them to flow. Using Pigment Powders in Wine, Gold, and Blue and mixing a bit of water with the pigment powders I then brushed the colors over areas I wished to add a bit of shimmer and shine.

After allowing the watercolor to dry, a few of the stamps from the Altenew set, Botanical Garden, were stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed in gold embossing powder. I also used colored pencils to add definition and contrast to the images.

Using the Adhesive Dots Mini, I was then able to adhere 4mm Droplets to the watercolor piece. These tiny little adhesive dots are so perfect for your small sequins and dew drops, etc. You’ll never know they’re there!

The Be a Voice sentiment was stamped using an archival ink from the Altenew set, Painted Inspiration. Next, I rounded corners of the panel and then placed 3D Foam Squares Black Regular on the back side.

Now cut a piece of 8.5 x 11″ Kraft cardstock to make a 4¼ x 5½” base card that is scored on the vertical edge. Cut a piece of patterned paper 1/8″ smaller to fit the front and adhered to the base card using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser. Wrap a piece of organza ribbon around the front of the card and tied tightly in a bow, trimming off the ends. Then a piece of pink twine was wrapped around the center of the organza bow and tied in another bow. All of this is secured from the back using an Adhesive Dot 3D.

The liner papers may now be removed from the 3D Foam Squares and placed onto the card, at a slight angle. And *poof* it’s all done! Watercolor backgrounds with beautiful stamps like these from Altenew are so easy and fun.

Travel Themed Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone, Laurel here.  Do you remember when I posted my travel journals and luggage tags?  Well guess what, I am back from Greece and had an amazing time!  Today I am sharing my first layout from our trip.

Of course I used the E-Z Runner® Grand Dispenser to adhere most of the pieces as it is so quick and easy to do.  I think it has to be the most used tool (besides my paper cutter) in my craft room!

As you know, I do a lot of stitching on my projects and this is no exception.  When I know I will be stitching something in place, I used the DODZ™ Small (300 pcs) just to hold them in place.

Angel Wings DIY Frame with 3D Foam Wings

Today I am creating a picture frame out of canvas panel, die cuts and our 3D Foam Wings. By adding your favorite picture secured with Creative Photo Corners Gold, you have an elegant gift to give!

Using two sets of 3D Foam Wings, I layered them and covered them with Pigment Powder Gold with my finger and brush for details.

Then add them on a intricate designed oval die cut, leaving enough room for the angel die cut in the center.

On the back of the gold metallic angel die cut, I placed Dodz Small on each shoulder and adhered onto the wings.

For the background, I die-cut a beautiful rectangular shape in white cardstock and applied it onto Adhesive Sheet 6 x 12″ for a full coverage on the back. Then I adhered it to my black chalk paint canvas panel.

In the back of the canvas panel, I placed a pre-made easel piece. To make sure it would stick forever, I also applied our Home & Hobby Line Extreme Double -Sided Tape 1/4″ Permanent! LOL!!

Last, I placed two small strips of Extreme Double -Sided Tape 1/8″ on the back left side of the angel die cut. I did this so that you can place a picture underneath the die cut for placement and secure with four Creative Photo Corners Gold.
