Hi there! It’s Lisa on the blog today and I have a pretty in pink Christmas card to share with you using Adhesive Dots Mini to hold those sparkly sequins.
To really bring out the color pink (which is what I wanted) I simply used a larger panel of pink cardstock and embossed it with an interesting pattern. Also in my wreath, the colors are in the red family, with touches of teal and blue. And green for the leaves.
I really didn’t want the card to look overly Christmas-y. So I used this soft plaid paper from Lawn Fawn in soft blue and pink.
Glittery stripes were added on top of the vellum using the HomeHobby Premium Double Sided 1″ Tape with a pretty clear glitter burnished in.
I added 3D Foam Squares White Regular to the back of my wreath and mounted it to the vellum square. Stamping the sentiment and embossing the vellum with your favorite embossing powder is next.
To adhere the vellum square AND to add interest? I added a bunch of fun sequins using the Adhesive Dots Mini. Some were really small and some are in the shape of snowflakes, but this size is perfect for all of them. I tucked a few of the Dodz under the vellum where the sequins were so they wouldn’t show. Works like a charm.
Twine was wrapped on the left side of the pink panel a few times before tying in a bow and Art Medium was added to stiffen the bow.
Here are a few alternate views for you to check out!
Hopefully in this photo you can see the glittery stripes and can tell that the Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini’s really ARE mini!! 😉
A better view of the wreath. 🙂
Thank you so much for joining me today…I hope that you have an amazing day.
