Valentine Heart Collage Card

Hi, Judy here today! I can hardly believe it’s the end of January already! That means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I put together this Valentine Heart Collage Card. Pretty Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Variety Colors, and 3D Foam Hearts really make this card shine!

Cut Papers for the Heart Collage Card

From white cardstock, cut these pieces:

  • 6.25 x 9.5 inches, score and fold to form a 4.75 x 6.25 inch card
  • 4.75 x 6 inches, embossed with an embossing folder and die-cutting machine, and then trimmed to 4.375 x 5.75 inches
  • 1.875 x 2 inches for the greeting.

Cut these pieces from black cardstock:

  • 4.75 x 6 inches, use postage collage cover die with die-cutting machine to cut collage frame from it
  • 4.5 x 5.875 inches mat
  • 2 x 2.125 inches for the greeting mat.

Assemble the Heart Collage Frame

On the back side of the postage collage frame, apply 3D Foam Strips. Peel liners and attach the collage frame over the embossed panel. Use the E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive to the back and secure it to the black mat. Then apply adhesive to the back and place it on the card front.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets and 3D Foam Hearts

Take small and medium hearts from 3D Foam Hearts and randomly place them in all outer openings of the collage frame (not the center). Peel the liner from one heart and cover it with magenta or purple foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Variety Colors. Make sure the color is facing you. Continue to peel the liners from the hearts, alternating magenta and purple foils to cover all hearts.

Create the Greeting

Stamp greeting with black ink on white cardstock. Use E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive to the back and attach it to the black mat. Then roll the adhesive along the back edges and secure it over the center of the collage on the card front. Place a small heart from 3D Foam Hearts on the greeting, peel the liner, and apply the foil.
