It’s the Little Things Frame and Blog Hop!

I love the colors and patterns in the “Its the Little Things” collection from Fancy Pants Designs. Black was incorporated into the designs so nicely, it’s great to have papers with black patterns!

This framed piece came together so quickly and easily! The patterned label was part of the set, and the word Love is from the Glitter Cuts, a glittered transparency design sheet. I adhered Love with SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L MyStik™ Permanent Fine Adhesive, you can’t see the adhesive through the word!

I mounted the label onto cardstock with MyStik™ Permanent Strips, then onto Headed South paper, then cardstock again. I added the Photo Corners-Classic Black because I love photo corners, and I think they help frame out the piece.

The flowers were created using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die template with Spring Fever, Shuffle, and Four Birds papers, the leaves from Honeysuckle. I rolled the flowers around the handle of a paintbrush then adhered them with Dodz™. I curled the leaves for dimension and added 3D Foam Squares below the bends to keep the dimension. A little bling and it’s done!

My Brag Book

I simply {{ADORE}} Fancy Pants! This company always has such elegant papers and embellishments. When I received the Summer’s End paper line, I was simply excited cause I knew that their Brag Book and this line would become one of my favourite projects. What better than a conglomeration of favourite photos with tidbits of info. Perfect.

My favourite Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L product EVER is the Adhesive Sheets. They are a staple in my book. I use them for most of my projects. Now, would you have thought that you would get such a neat result by putting the transparency over kraft? Almost always I put it over a light coloured cardstock. But this time, I thought let’s put the adhesive to the test! Would you be able to see any traces of it????
I started out with the Fancy Pants transparency, a 12×12 Adhesive Sheet. I peeled off one edge and lined it up on the transparency and then slowly rolled back the protective coating and rubbed the adhesive onto the paper.

It will happen that you could get “wrinkles or lines” like I have a few. Rub them out with your hand. no big deal.

Its The Little Things Cards

The fun folks at Fancy Pants are blog hopping with us this week! They provided the collection called “It’s the little things” for us to work with, and I can’t begin to tell you how much I love all the patterns in it!

Life has been crazy busy lately, but I never run out of the need for cards, so I’m sharing 2 quick and easy cards today, made from Fancy Pants and SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES AND 3L™ products.

Both cards use Keepsake Envelopes, for the first one I positioned the smallest Keepsake Envelope, which is about 2 x 2”, over part of a pattern of hearts. It has adhesive on the back side, which allowed me to create a background inside the envelope. I trimmed the ticket, added the Live Laugh Love rub-on. I cut off the envelope flap then trimmed a small piece of that to cover the adhesive on the front of the envelope, to make it a pocket instead of a closed envelope.

The Glitter Cuts flower border is adhered with MyStik™ Permanent Fine adhesive and the papers are adhered MyStik Permanent Strips. The Keepsake Envelope had Thin 3D Foam Squares to give it a little lift, which also makes the ticket have more lift off the card.

For the second card I cut a square of patterned paper to fit inside the Keepsake Envelope, then added the birdcage rub on, then sealed the Keepsake Envelope. I used a border sticker, more patterned paper and the rest of the rub on for the bird cage, as well as the phrase to complete this card.

A Little Fancy Filing

I’m so excited Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Fancy Pants are teaming up this month! What a great combo. I decided to create a little file folder holder re make for my desk, using ” It’s the little things” line from Fancy pants and MyStik™ Permanent Strips dispenser for my adhesive.

I truly love being able to make something old , new again, and that’s just what I did with this project. The file holder was headed for the trash, and the file folders were given to me to re-purpose from a friend who was about to toss them. They had “some” writing on them, but nothing that couldn’t be covered with some gorgeous papers:)

I used a MyStik Permanent strips adhesive to adhere my paper to the plastic file folder holder, and also to adhere my papers , and accent pieces to my file folders them selves. Now the refills even come in a Value Pack for even more savings for you. yay!

All of these awesome “Journal Embellishments” from this line, made great additions to all of my file folder fronts. I’ll be writing file names on them to keep things organized.

I always love using Thin 3D Foam Squares to adhere buttons to my projects. Works great!

I’m always happy when I end up with something I can actually USE, from something that was about to be tossed. Now I’ll have no excuse not to have an organized desk right? lol Well, at least I’ll have something new and fun to set on my desk. yay!

A Card and a Gift Bag

I want to share with you today a card and a little gift bag.

First let’s take a look at the card.

I used that back of a Imaginisce packaging to create the background of the card. The doilies were sprayed with glimmer mist and then applied to the card using the E-Z Runner Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser. Then I sprayed some Creative Photo Corners White and created a little border at the top of the striped paper and added a little strip of paper on top of the photo corners.

I used Crafty Foam Tape to apply the die cuts.

And then on to the little gift bag:

For this little bag I used the packaging of Imaginisce Die Cuts and left the backing in.

I punched a border on a striped piece of paper and folded it over the top of the bag and stapled it on. A sticker was put on top and then I applied the die cut pieces with Crafty Foam Tape. For the little buttons I used Crafty Power Tape.

A quick and easy way to create a personal little gift for a special person!

Feeling “Springy”

Welcome to the SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ and Imaginisce^®Blog Hop! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for Spring! Working with this fun line really makes me long for it. Totally fun patterns and bright happy colors! Hippity Hop Collection.

I used my Spellbinders die for the background of the flower and used 3D Foam Squares to give a cute little Bird cage paper embellishment off of the page for dimension. I did the same under each of the leaves, title, and buttons.

I used E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive for the rest of the construction of my layout. I love using Crafty Power Tape for thin long strips like the stem of the flower, and the word strips I used in the photo below.

Hippity Hop Easter Banner

I have an Easter Banner tutorial today!

And it’s sooooo easy to make! First I die cut the pieces, six of each.

Next I made the florets, which look tricky, but really they’re pretty simple. I die cut the edges for a fun design.

Fold at 1/2 inch intervals. Do mountain/valley folds the whole length, then adhere the ends to form a circle. MyStik™ Permanent Strips work perfectly for this.

Push the straight edges toward the center, with the decorative cut edges to the outside. Place a Dodz 3D Adhesive Dot at the center of the top, then flip it over and add a Dodz 3D to the bottom. Dodz come out of the dispenser with a clear plastic transfer sheet so you don’t have to touch the adhesive.

The clear transfer sheet stays on, and this allowed me to make several florets at once, and have them on my work space without sticking to everything!

I assembled the banner parts with the Nested Lacey Pennants, then the Nested Pennants using 3D Foam Squares, then the florets with Dodz 3D, and then the Imaginisce colored die cuts. The top Dodz piece not only holds the floret together, it holds the next layer!

Now just string ribbon through the back side and hang it up!

Sewing Box with Adhesive Sheets and Tissue Paper

Today’s project is an altered paper box. I’m still on my sewing kick, even though I can hardly sew a button on…but at least I’m on trend, right? Here I have a tutorial for an altered Sewing Box. Creating the Sewing Box

For the box, I covered it first with Adhesive Sheets. Then I stamped an image onto tissue paper, crumpled the tissue paper and placed pieces onto the Adhesive Sheet covered box. I smoothed it down with my hands. To tone down the contrast I finished it with a wash of watered down white paint.

The chipboard shapes were painted with crackle paint. I die cut the doily shape and adhered it with Adhesive Sheets. I added the crackle painted chipboard shapes with Crafty Power Tape and Crafty Foam Tape – Black. The letter tiles and button are adhered with Crafty Power Tape.

I measured a length of black ribbon to fit around the box and secured it with Crafty Power Tape. I applied Crafty Foam Tape to the back side of the measuring tape ribbon and added it to the top of the black tape.

You can use Crafty Foam Tape to add dimension to ribbon, large items and so much more! Now in Black and White, you’ll find yourself reaching for the roll with every project!

Valentine Banner

Hello everyone!

Valentines day is on it’s way, so I thought it would be fun to create a Valentine Banner with my AccuCut Banner Die, Crafty Secrets Vintage Valentine Kit, Epiphany Crafts goodness …and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesives.

It was so easy to put together . I used E-Z Dots Minis and Thin 3D Foam Squares ( to add just a touch of dimension).

I used select pieces of the images that I had printed off to punch with my Epiphany tool and add the epoxy piece to. I added them to the center of brightly colored Fancy Pants Buttons and used them as embellishments to the banner pieces.

A little machine stitching….

some ribbon and trims…….

and there you have it … a fun Valentine banner , all ready to hang.

Back to School Card

The return to school after the winter break is almost as sweet as the first day of school in the fall. So why not celebrate the little things, like a a quiet house!

Back to School Card Tutorial by Beth Pingry for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L I created this stand up card from one single sheet of card stock, then embellished it with patterned paper. I started with an 8½ x 11″ sheet, scored it at 3″ on each side, then turned it sideways and scored the center at 2½”. Then I carefully trimmed along those center lines.

I pulled images from the Graphic 45 “An ABC Primer Collection”, and adhered them with the new black Crafty Foam Tape from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™.

I love the Crafty Foam Tape! I love how the black color hides behind the images, giving it height without shouting “hey, I’m here!” PLUS I can trim the Crafty Foam Tape to exactly the length I need.

I trimmed images from the paper collection and adhered with both Crafty Foam Tape and E-Z Dots® Permanent adhesives. I folded the cardstock so that the center section pops out and the entire card stands on it’s own.

This card, folded up, will fit in a standard business size envelope for mailing. I could mail it to my sister when she gets her teaching degree, or I could keep it as home decor for my son’s graduation at the end of this school year.
