Thinking of You Embellished Card Tutorial

Hello, my crafty friends! Tracy here and today I have a sweet Thinking of You card full of fun embellishment ideas to share using one of my favourite adhesives, the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser. Try these techniques on your next project.

Thinking of You Card Step Outs

Let’s start with my white cardstock card panel. For a punch of bold, textured, and beautiful black sentiment, I used the WOW! Embossing Pad and WOW! Primary Ebony Embossing Powder to the cardstock.

Since I had the WOW! products out, I stamped and embossed some of the floral designs, and others using a plain black ink on white cardstock. This is a great way to add some subtle texture differences between the images. Cut the images out and set aside.

Adding Background

For the background, I added a blended Distress Oxide ink section around the sentiment and the right side of the card panel. Using the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser, run strips of adhesive on top of the inked area. For a more distressed background, I rubbed little sections of the adhesive off using my finger.

Place a piece of the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Variety Colors in teal on top of the adhesive strips, color side UP. Then gently rub the foil with your finger to transfer the color. Pull away the foil and WOW! Refoil if there are missed areas.

Mat and adhere the distressed card panel to the black cardstock using the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser. Lastly, adhere to the white cardstock card base.

Final Details

Add the fussy cut stamped, and embossed floral images up the side of the card using a combination of 3D Foam Squares White Mix and Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix for a difference in dimension between layers.
