Hi, Connie here with a mixed media tag celebrating the beauty of nature. The 3D Foam Squares Micro White were a lifesaver adhering the branches and deer horns to the tag. Perfect size for small areas!
Mixed Media Tag Background Prep
Start with creating a mixed media background on the tag which means a combination of stencils, stamps, inks, and collage. So fun!
First, I started with a stencil, then added stamps with the Distress Oxide inks. I just play with it until I like the look.
Embellishing with Elements
Next, I stamped out my focal images and colored them with the Distress Oxide inks I used to create the background. The images were cut out and ready for adhesive.
For the words, I used the 3D Foam Strips. The branches and horns adhered with 3D Foam Squares Micro White, and the 3D Foam Squares White Mix was used for the body of the animals. The pieces of vintage dictionary paper were adhered to the tag using the Dual Tip Glue Pen.
This was a fun project! The hardest thing (or tricky) was the cutting out of the focal images. So worth it though!
Thanks for stopping by.
