Framed Easter Bunny Project

Hi everyone, Yvonne here. I made a cute Framed Easter Bunny project. It is a dimensional home decor piece and what a cute Easter decoration! Don’t you agree?

Another idea is to simply replace the Happy Easter sentiment with a child’s name to decorate a children’s bedroom. I am sure you will get lots of ooh’s and ahh’s when you gift this 3D bunny frame.

Framed Easter Bunny Base

Start with a wooden photo frame and removed the glass. Cut a piece of pink patterned paper to fit the frame and place it into the frame.

Die-cut and embossed two oval shapes from two different shades of green cardstock. Stack the smaller oval shape on top of the larger oval using the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser.

Create the Bunny Head

Die-cut the bunny head with white cardstock. Fold the score lines of the pieces and assemble with a combination of the Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8in and Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4in.

Once the bunny is assembled, adhere it onto the stacked oval shape.

Then secure the entire piece onto the photo frame with 3D Foam Squares White Small Size to create some extra depth.

Embellishing the Bunny

Secure mulberry flowers, stamens and leaves pieces with the Dual Tip Glue Pen around the top of the bunny. Tie a pink satin bow and place it by the right ear with Adhesive Dots Small. Lastly, adhere a Happy Easter sentiment to the frame by stacking two 3D Foam Squares on each end to lift it up for interest.

For a realistic look, slightly bend the bunny ears and voila…your Framed Easter Bunny Home Decor piece is ready! Isn’t it cute?

Patchwork Easter Egg Cards

Hi, Connie here with a wonderful Patchwork Easter Egg Cards, pieced together with paper strips! Not only do you use up paper scraps but I show you how to create a shaped card.

I was inspired by fellow DT, Teri Anderson, and her Faux Paper Tape Technique post. Hmm, paper strips for a card front so why not on an egg-shaped card front? That is where I started…

Patchwork Easter Egg Cards Supplies

Let’s get the supplies I need first. For my adhesives, I am using the newly released, Crafty Foam Tape 108ft.! This roll will last me a good long while. LOL! In addition, I’ve added another newly released E-Z Runner® Grand Dots Repositionable. Along with the 3D Foam Circles White Mix and E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. To round out my supplies, I have cardstock, patterned papers, stamps (or you can use stickers) and an egg shape pattern.

Egg Card Instructions

Cut patterned papers into 4 x 1″ strips. Layer them on the front of a 4 x 6″ top-fold card base.
Adhere the strips to the front of the card alternating between E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips and Crafty Foam Tape 108ft. for interest and dimension.
Apply E-Z Runner® Grand Dots Repositionable to the back of the egg shape pattern. It will keep the pattern from shifting while you are cutting the egg shape. Designer’s Tip: the egg pattern can be hand-drawn or you can find a shape online.
Cut around the egg pattern, leaving a small overhang on the top. You should have an egg-shaped top fold card when done cutting. Simply rub off the adhesive dots when finished.
To embellish the cards, stamp the bunny images and sentiments on a piece of white cardstock. Then color the bunnies and sentiment backgrounds. Trim them out.
Wrap twine around the card front and tie a bow secured with a button and Adhesive Dots Small. Next, place 3D Foam Circles Mix White on the backs of the stamp images and adhere them to complete the Easter cards.

DIY Cow Print Paper with Adhesive Sheets

Hi friends! Dana Tatar here today sharing a scrapbook layout documenting my trip to a dairy farm. The animal print patterned paper that I had in my stash is great for wildlife, but not so good for the farm yard. I solved my problem by creating a DIY Cow Print Paper using Adhesive Sheets and flocking powder.

DIY Cow Print Patterned Paper

I’m really pleased with how my cow print paper turned out! It is soft to touch, just like a real cow. I hand cut shapes from a 6×12 Adhesive Sheet and then sprinkled on flocking powder. The 6×12 Adhesive Sheet was the perfect size to fill about half of a 12×12 piece of cardstock. Adhesive Sheets are available in a variety of sizes to fit your crafting needs. Adding Dimension with Embellishments

The design of this page is simple, so I added interest to the layout with textured embellishments like corrugated cardboard and foam letter stickers, embossed paper flowers, cow print flocked shapes, and twine.

I used 3D Foam to add height to the page. 3D Foam Squares worked great to raise the second photo off the base of the page. I used 3D Foam Circles to secure the paper flowers to the layout.

Micro Adhesive Dots are the perfect size to help hold the twine bow in place.

Happy Crafting Scrap Card

Hello friends! Judy here today with a “scrap card” of sorts in my Happy Crafting Card. The background and stamped cat came from my pile of saved bits and pieces on my work table. From there I added verses, inking and stenciling on the background and stamped wood floor. This epitomizes my crafting style! I often work on the floor (Yes, I really do!) and I have a mess of scraps all around me!

Happy Crafting Card Background

With my colored background card panel, I stenciled alphabet, numbers, dots, and circuits with Distress Inks on top. Next, rub ink into various areas and along the edges. Attach to a white 4.5 x 5.75-inch white card base using E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser.

Card Elements

For the floor piece, use Kraft cardstock, stamp with wood grain and rub with Distress Ink. Then hand cut the edges to fit my card. Since this is a thick and inked paper, I used a strong adhesive – E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser.

The wonky rectangle was a happy accident. I cut several rectangles that I didn’t like. Then I noticed the scrap rectangle on my floor! I do almost all my die cutting on the floor because my table is very small. It’s too much bother to clear it off to put a die cutting machine on it! Cut the rectangle from Kraft card stock and colored with Distress inks. I used 3D Foam Strips to pop it up and attach it to the card. Perfect for the narrow frame!

Stamping Out the Details

Use the stamped cat, which was stamped with black ink on white card stock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, and color with alcohol markers. He reminds me of my cat Bravo! Another reason this card fits with my crafting style, I usually have at least one of my three cats in my room when I’m working! Pop the cat on the card with 3D Foam Circles White Mix.

The verses were stamped with black ink on white card stock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Just add color with Distress inks. “Happy Crafting” is fussy cut and matted with white card stock put together with E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser. Place pieces of 3D Foam Strips at each end and center to hold it in place over the frame. Avoid it being higher than the frame. Add the verse strip below it with E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser. The narrow adhesive strips are perfect for small word strips! It was also used to secure the word strips at bottom of the card.

Final Touches

My final touch was to add tiny scrap paper pieces around the cat! I added a piece of string, too. These are all attached with E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser. I found it easiest to use on such tiny pieces.

Traveler’s Notebook Gift Bag

Hello, Shellye here with an anytime gift, would be perfect for an upcoming occasion like Mother’s Day or graduation. It’s a Traveler’s Notebook Gift Bag! The handmade notebook is tucked into a unique woven bag!

Traveler’s Notebook Gift Bag Instructions

To begin, I started with the gift bag. The base of the bag is an empty sweetener box. I embellished it with a variety of patterned papers and secured with the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser and the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refill. It’s really easy to change the adhesive out.

Now that you have your adhesive set up, take the sweetener box apart to flatten. My box measures 5.5″ x 3″ x 7″. Just a side note, cut the patterned papers slightly larger than the box before attaching to all sides of the box.

For the bag front, I created texture and interest with a paper weave background. I select three patterns of paper and cut them into 3/4″ strips. On a flat surface, weave the papers together and apply E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refill to the ends. After I determined the size of the woven mat (to fit one side of the bag), I used the Premium Double-Sided Tape 1-inch to affix.

For the other sides of the bag, I used a corresponding patterned paper to cover using E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refill.

Gift Bag Details

For the handles, I folded a 12″ x 1.5″ strip of paper in half so the width is 3/4″ and held the fold with Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/2in. The handle strips were attached to the inside of the bag’s opening with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/2in.

For around the top edge of the bag, I added pom trim with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4in.

To the front, I lifted up a circle shape with a sentiment using 3D Foam Squares White Mix. Then accented with layers of hand-cut flowers and leaves, a bird sticker, burlap banner, and hand-tied buttons. To finish the bag, I tied a pretty polka dot ribbon bow and secured another hand-tied button in its center.

Traveler’s Notebook Step Outs

For the Traveler’s Notebook cover, I started with a piece of 8.5 x 11″ patterned paper and corner-rounded the edges. Then score at 5″ and 6″ on the long side.

Next, paced the paper inside one of the Self-Laminating Pouches – Cards X-Large and burnish the adhesive side with a bone folder. Retrace the score lines and carefully fold into the notebook shape.

Punch two holes on the top and bottom of the spine (as shown above) and then threaded with round cording. A hole was also added at the center of the spine for the closure cording.

To create the two inserts, I used 9.5″ x 7″ white cardstock and fold in half to make the cover. To embellish, cover the white cardstock with patterned paper using Adhesive Sheets 12×12 inch.

Inside each cover, include three sheets of folded white paper. The completed notebooks were held in place by the cording loops.

More Traveler’s Notebook Details

The patterned papers I used resembled washi tape strips so I made my own! Simply use a leftover strip of the Adhesive Sheets 12×12 inch and applied it to the back of the paper. Next, I cut the paper strip in half and packaged in a cellophane baggie.

Clothespins were also embellished in the strips of paper and packaged, in addition to the journal cards and frames! Lots of goodies to use with the new Traveler’s Notebook!

Add everything in to complete the Traveler’s Notebook Gift Bag set. Now it’s ready to give!

Dry Erase Shopping Lists for Planners

Hi, everyone! Looking for a way to remember what you need to get at the grocery store? Teri here to show you how to make these dry erase shopping lists to keep in your planner. Then take out and tuck in your purse when you are ready to go shopping!

These lists are easy to make with a few basic paper crafting supplies and Self-Laminating Pouches – Cards! Let’s get started.

Make Dry Erase Shopping Lists

First, pick a self-laminating pouch – card for your list. I’m making a 4×6 list so I’m using a Self-Laminating Pouch – Card Medium. Cut a piece of cardstock to fit in the pouch and then cover it with patterned paper. I recommend using a light-colored paper since you are going to end up writing over it.

Next, decorate the panel with strips of patterned paper.

Add a few die-cuts. I used flowers and sea creatures. You may want to use something else. It’s all about what appeals to your design senses!

Stamp a few words on panel, like “My List” or “Stuff to Get.” Make your stamping really pop by using pencils or markers to add a little color to the letters.

Seal the Lists

Now, it’s time to laminate the panel. Open up the card. Set your panel on it and then slowly set the sticky part of the pouch on top. Use your fingers to really rub out any air bubbles as you go.

Once you’ve laminated your list, use a paperclip to anchor it in your panel.

Use dry-erase markers to write on your list. You can also use wet-erase markers on them!

Making a Smaller List

Craving a smaller list for your planner? That’s easy. Just use a Self-Laminating Pouch – Card Small and create a smaller design!

You can also mix things up. Rather than using stamps to put words on the list, use letter stickers instead. Also, consider using stickers, as well as die-cuts, to decorate the list with!

All Occasion Lace Square Card Tutorial

Greetings, friends, Margie here with an intricate All Occasion Lace Square Card made with one thin metal die set! By lifting up the layers with 3D Foam Strips, it makes the card go from beautiful to stunning!

All Occasion Lace Square Card Base

Die-cut black and white cardstock with my one thin metal die set. By using two contrasting cardstock colors, I create a simple and elegant look. For this card, I used two white squares, one black intricate cut card panel, one black circle shape and its coordinating intricate circle design in white.

The two square shapes will be the card base. Score 1/2-inch on the top of the solid square. This scored area will become the hinge on top of the card.

Using the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser, I took out the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refill cartridge and replaced it with the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Dots Refill. This is such an easy step to replace. OR use our newly released E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser (I do not have one…yet.).

Now that you have your E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser with the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Dots Refill set up, apply it on the decorative edge square about 1/2-inch on the top. I use this adhesive on die cuts because it only covers the cut areas. If there is any residue, simply rub it off! Once applied, put the two squares together to make one square card base.

Card Front Layers

For the black intricate cut card panel, I placed 3D Foam Strips to the narrow areas. It lifts the layers to create dimension and interest to the card design.

Designer Tip: Color your 3D Foam Strips to match your card panel color. I colored mine with a black marker and the excess white foam disappeared!

Lastly, I added self-adhesive cream pearls to the card front and done!

Intricate 80th Birthday Card Tutorial

Hello, card making friends! Tracy here, and today I have a fun little tutorial on how to create this Intricate 80th Birthday Card. Every once in a while an occasion demands a beautiful and intricate birthday greeting. Here are all of the details.

Let’s Get Started

First I cut my card base from pink cardstock to 10 x 7-inch. Then fold in half to create a 5 x 7-inch card base. I die-cut all my layers from white cardstock using one die set. Adhere the outside frame piece to the card base with Crafty Foam Tape White.

Next, I added the lacy insert die cut piece to the card using the Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Lift up and adhere to the center lacy die cut piece to the Intricate 80th Birthday Card using 3D Foam Squares White Regular Size.

To make the number 80 stand out, I used gold foam number stickers.

Rose Accents

I created these pretty Wild Roses using rose stamps, dies and shaping molds. Prills were added to the middle of each flower with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Place the completed flowers to the card using Adhesive Dots Large.

Lastly, I added a few gems to the Intricate 80th Birthday Card for just a little extra sparkle.

Wrap around the center of the pillow box.
Attach trim using the Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″. Wrap around the box and lay trim over the adhesive strip.
Add the bunny image using a couple of 3D Foam Squares Regular Black.
Attach a flower with an Adhesive Dots 3D.
The sentiment is placed with the Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Designer Note: Use up scrap papers and small pieces of trim to decorate the fronts of the pillow boxes.
