Let’s Get Festive with Adhesive Sheets

Hi everyone, Christine here today with a festive card and a nifty tip to show you how to adhere intricate die cuts using Adhesive Sheets for an easy “no tool” option.

Using Adhesive Sheets, (I like the 6 x 4 size for smaller dies, the sheets are available in larger sizes too) lift the yellow liner sheet, place your chosen card/paper inside, re-apply the liner sheet, place your die on top and run through your die cutting machine.

You have a perfect sticky die cut with a removable backing. No messy liquid glue! I used the same die to die cut a gold version and this created a drop shadow behind.

Using E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable I prepared by card base with an ivory mat.

To affix to my card front I used 3D Foam Squares – White, Small – these fit perfectly on the back and will hold it in place securely.

Added some tiny poinsettias and a sentiment. The finished card.

Warm Up with 3D Foam Hearts

Happy November!! Can you believe how quickly the year is going?! It’s Amy here with a fall inspired project. Here’s a quick peek at some of my supplies:

I had fun glittering up the 3D Foam Hearts. Don’t you think they add a sweet texture to the card design? You can’t readily spot the white one on the bunny’s tummy, but it’s there. That was has been covered in white glitter and the other one on the hedgie’s sign is a copper glitter.

All the stamped images are adhered with 3D Foam Squares- White Regular. I’ve actually trimmed down the card size a smidge to accommodate the spilling over of the images, primarily the bunny’s ears.

After the watercolored panel was completely dry, I used my E-Z Runner® Grand Dispenser to adhere to my blank note card.

Creating a Book Of Magic Tutorial

Come in for a spell…I have a Book of Magic for you! I am thrilled to show you what I created using a store bought paper mache boo(!)k shaped box. I mixed paint pigments for the distressed look. What do you think?

I painted the paper mache book box with black chalkboard paint (three coats with dry time in between coats) on the outside and inside of the box.

Then I added crackle paint to give it interest and age it a bit. I realized that this particular product dries white! LOL! So I painted another coat of black chalkboard paint for the beautiful cracks. It helps to read the instructions! LOL!

While the paint dries, I trimmed cute patterned paper to fit inside the box. Edge the papers with the same black chalkboard paint and adhere with the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser,.

I repeated the same process with the chipboard letters as with the book box, except the first coat was crackle paint and then black chalkboard paint. Lesson learned…HA!

I mixed brown and silver pigment powders with white glue. To make it more of a paint, I added a little bit of water.

With a foam brush and a wet towel, I applied my paint to the book box and wiped it away with the wet towel until I liked the look. The narrow areas between the letters, I applied it with cotton tip swabs. Let dry. Re-apply paint if needed until you get your desired look.

For the final touch, I applied a pair of googly eyes with the Dual Tip Glue Pen for a fun element.

Nature Journey Box by Judy Hayes

When the fall air turns crisp, I love to take a walk in the woods or across a prairie and gather colorful leaves, twigs, grasses and pretty pebbles! But then what to do with all those bits and pieces? Create a Nature Journey Box with Graphic 45 Mixed Media 5×5 Box-Kraft!

Ink the edges and decorated the outside with papers from Graphic 45 Safari Adventure 6×6 Patterns and Solids. With the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser, fasten all the papers. Cut multiple layers for the top to frame the opening and then use the recycled clear packaging to make a window. Pop it up with Crafty Foam Tape Black to add some space for my shadow box created in the box opening. Filled the space with bits of birch with date and title. Pebbles are fastened with Adhesive Dots Mini. Leaf is sealed and glued in place with Art Medium. Now I can display my collection and easily enjoy looking at it! Tri-Fold Scrapbook Page by Margie Higuchi

Originally I wanted to try a tri-fold card but I already did a card in Day 2 so I thought “Go Big or Go Home!” and ended up with a tri-fold scrapbook page! LOL! Using Cityscapes Collection from Graphic 45 and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser, I created this fun page.

Most of the paper pieces were adhered by E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. 3D Foam Swirl Shapes and Pigment Powder Silver were used as accents on the page. The Eiffel Tower was popped up with 3D Foam Squares White Mix. Just an interesting piece to have displayed around the house. I was inspired by the color combination in Graphic 45’s Cityscapes Collection to create masculine treat containers. With neutral colored accents such as sequins and twine, this can be made quick and easy using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″, Twine and Adhesives Dots Mini (for sequins).

The treat containers are adhered together using Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ to ensure they hold up when filled with goodies! The added element of a “pop up” is the cute little tag which is popped up with some twine peeking out behind it using 3D Foam Squares White Small. To finish it all off add a few sequins using our Adhesives Dots Mini.

For this Pop-up Challenge, I made an accordion card because I love all the different elements this paper offers. I started by fussy cutting more than I needed, and narrowed down my choices and placement using the E-Z Dots Repositionable adhesive. It allowed me to temporarily adhere the pieces, remove them, adjust position and move them again until I had it just right. E-Z Dots Repositionable give me a strong bond that holds, but allows me to move pieces without damage or reapplication. It’ll hold forever unless I decide to move it again.

Once I made up my mind, I adhered the layers using 3D Foam Squares, Crafty Foam Tape for longer pieces, and E-Z Squares Refillable. I added a few Creative Photo Corners. For the back side of the Eiffel Tower image corners, I added glitter to take care of the exposed adhesive. (baby powder or similar would work too, just so that it doesn’t catch dust and dog hair, LOL) This card folds flat for mailing, and then expands for display. From different angles, you see different images on the multiple layers.

I’m so excited to be part of this blog hop with Graphic 45. My project features their Mixed Media 5 x 5″ Box – Kraft. All the panels of paper have been adhered using the E-Z Runner® Grand Dispenser. I combined the Safari Adventure and Cityscapes paper collections. I did a bit of distressing on the edges with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink.

I made it into a shaker box! This can be easily used to store various tea bags. The tea pot and the tea cup are on Thin 3D Foam Squares Mix White. Today I am sharing the Graphic 45 ATC Book Box that I altered with their Enchanted Forest Collection along with a few Scrapbook adhesive by 3L® products. The Sumptuous Floral sheet of paper really grabbed my attention, so I knew immediately that I wanted to use this paper on the box somewhere.

First painted the box in a metallic gold acrylic paint, adhered the pattern paper down on top of the box using E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable Dispenser and along the bottom using Home Hobby Extreme Double Sided Tape 1/8″. Use the same double sided tape to adhere the Lace Ribbons trim to the bottom of the box. I accented the top of the box with a few flowers, using the lace ribbons and Dodz Adhesive Dots . These dots are very strong and permanent, so perfect for making mixed media type embellishments.

I fussy cut a flower from another ephemera card and adhered with 3D Foam Squares – White, Regular (and card panel) for dimension. Just add glitter to the mix for a fun accent. The black card base against these pattern papers really makes a stunning combination. I edged all the papers with like ink colors for a subtle finish. I combined these products to create a mini album to hold my photos, memorabilia and journaling from a recent trip. I actually used all three sizes (1/8″, 1/4″ and 1/2″) of our Extreme Double-Sided Tape to adhere my paper and embellishments. This tape holds both those quality weight Graphic 45 pattern papers and chipboard pieces down with ease.

Hello Stephanie here today and I am thrilled to start off in Day 1 of our Graphic 45 Blog Hop. Our challenge for this hop was to create a pop-up element in our projects. I made a fantasy shadow box with a tiny little mini book inside as my “pop-up” element as it comes out of the box. I had so much fun with it because this is something I do rarely. Now the little book needs to be filled. For this I’m still waiting for the perfect photos.

Hello! Michele here with a fun altered Graphic 45 ATC Book Box that can house some fun birthday items! I covered the box with coordinating papers from the Safari Adventure Collection. I used Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/2″ to hold everything in place. I love the Ornate Metal Label Holder and thought it would be perfect to accent the front of the box.

The burlap on top of the box and the label holder were adhered with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. The box is closed with a piece of rustic twine I had in my stash. I die-cut various animal silhouettes and long grass shapes to place on the top of the box using the Enchanted Forest 6 x 6 Pad. Then adhered all the pieces to the top of the box, along with berries and a little flower. An animal inspired gem was added using Adhesive Dots Medium on the bow twine. A sentiment sticker was placed on a strip of paper, folded at the bottom and glued to the box in a pop-up style.

Floral Tag with Tissue Tape

Hi everyone, Christine here today with a floral gift tag. I’m not quite ready to give up on Summer and welcome Autumn hence the bright flowers!

I firstly attached patterned paper to a tag using E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable. NOTE: you can refill these dispensers with whatever E-Z adhesive you prefer. They are all interchangeable. Once affixed to the tag – trim and punch a hole.

Across the bottom I affixed two horizontal strips of Tissue Tape. So easy to apply and if it doesn’t look quite straight it is easy to lift and reapply.

To embellish my tag I stamped a sentiment and die cut some stamped flowers. These are positioned and affixed with 3D Foam Squares – White, Regular.

Cut two lengths of Twine, I chose the navy and natural as it coordinated so well. Insert through the punched hole and tied.

The finished tag, perfect to attach to a gift or maybe a special bottle of something…

How to Create a Monogram Tag

I had a tag that was pink…now I like pink but this color did not speak to me. LOL! So I covered it with tissue tape in Denim – who doesn’t love denim? It would be the perfect background to what I had in mind.

This tag is dedicated to my sweet friend, Ellen, who I will always remember her wearing blue jeans, boots and a cowgirl hat…she was my hip friend. We lost her this past weekend to a tragic house fire. Will miss her…

I covered this tag with Tissue Tape. This tape is forgiving….if you missed a spot, you can pick up the tape and re-do.

Next I tinted Art Medium with Pigment Powder Gold. Add a little water to make a little more liquidity (is that a word? lol!). Then I painted on to a piece of 6″ strip o White Burlap – this will not only stiffen the ribbon but it gives it a beautiful golden color. Let dry (I let it dry overnite).

When the gold burlap dried, I die-cut a letter “E” using my steel rule die and manual die-cutting machine. I also die-cut two different sizes of my labels die to frame the initial. I used the Dual Tip Glue Pen to adhere the letter to the small label and for the small label, 3D Foam Squares – White, Regular.

Set the die cuts aside to work on the bottom of the tag to create a layered border using Lace Ribbons and Twine in Navy. I used Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ Permanent and Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini to secure all on the tag.

Using the bottom border as a guide, I adhered the layered die cut with E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser to the center of the tag. Then I tied a knot with the Lace Ribbons in Crocheted Lace Trim to finish.
