Butterfly Box Frame

Hi, it is Christine here today with a butterfly box frame. I’m a butterfly addict so when Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® brought out their 3D Foam Butterflies I was over the moon!

For my project I firstly selected a little wooden box frame, one pack of 3D Foam Butterflies and some script paper (Fancy Pants – Swagger collection).

I cut the paper to size and inserted it into the frame behind the glass.

Next I removed the butterflies from the backing paper and placed them down sticky side up. I then covered them with some gilding flakes.

Using a small paint brush, I removed the excess leaving a lovely golden coating.

Next, I cut/embossed foliage – Sprigs from Spellbinders® and Blooms Three.

The 3D Foam Squares – White, Small stick perfectly to glass and you can trim them to fit smaller die cuts.

I added a line of crystal gems to the middle of the gilded butterflies, opted for silver butterflies too.

For the sentiment, I stamped this onto card and adhered with Crafty Power Tape – no problem using this on wood.

Easter Bag

Hi there,

I want to show you a little Easter Bag.

Here is a little Tutorial how I made it.

1 – I used a bag from a Pocket Book Pad designed by Leeza Gibbons.

2 – It’s just so easy to adhere it together with the E-Z Dots® Permanent – Refillable

3 – Adhere a old book page with the E-Z Dots® Permanent – Refillable again.

4 – Add white Gesso with fingers to blend the text out.

5 – Stamp your image and cut it out with scissors. I used a Duckling as motive I designed for Whiff of Joy . It’s one stamp of the Spring collection “Freshly Hatched” and its available at the 20th of April.

6 – Adhere your motive with E-Z Dots® Permanent – Refillable

7 – Doodle and sketch some grasses with a black pen. If you don’t want to draw you can also use stamps. Grasses is also a stamp on the coming soon Spring stamp set.

8 – Punch a little circle and add a Brad to create a shutter look for the flap.

Now you can add some sentiments or other details. I used some Rub-ons. And now it’s ready to fill it with a coupon or card or little Easter present.

I used my favorite E-Z Dots® Permanent – Refillable

Handmade Paper Basket and Basket (Cupcake) Toppers!

Welcome blog readers! It’s Angela here today, sharing a handmade woven paper Easter Basket with some basket toppers fashioned from the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® 3D Foam Easter Shapes.

Handmade Paper Basket and Basket (Cupcake) Toppers! by Angela Ploegman Aren’t those bunnies cutie pies? I love them covered in a glittered white flock after adhering some tiny black gem eyes. The eggs were covered in glitter and the layered circle shapes were fastened to the wood sticks with some Crafty Power Tape -they would make great cupcake toppers too!

Happy Easter Gift Bag

Easter is on it’s way, and you’ll probably have lots of little bags and baskets full of fun stuff. I made this little Easter bag with the 3D Foam Easter Shapes ~

I started with a mini gift bag and adhered a panel of patterned paper with E-Z Squares® Refillable and Creative Photo Corners in White. Then a white panel, then a purple panel. I die cut the pink piece and the banner.

The eggs and basket and HAPPY EASTER are heat embossed in pastel colors of embossing powder.

Fill up the bag and it’s ready for the Bunny!

Spring Card for Mum

Hi, it is Christine and today in the UK it is Mother’s Day! It is on a different day to the US but I’m trying to convince my family I can celebrate twice! For my Mum, I’ve chosen to make a Spring card.

Using my trusty Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® products this did not take too long at all. The background was attached to the card base using Crafty Foam Tape White, the ribbon adheres perfectly with Crafty Power Tape (‘power’ is definitely the key word here – it sticks so many things!) and my flower is positioned with 3D Foam Squares White Small.

My favourite – the finishing touch, Creative Photo Corners Ivory , these look lovely when inked slightly and frame the card beautifully.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the UK Mums today – celebrate by crafting!

Hoppy Easter

Hoppy Easter everyone! Hello, AJ here to share an adorable Easter card using one of our Designer Foam Shapes, the 3D Foam Easter Shapes. Using flock, I will show you how to WEAR YOUR ADHESIVE ON THE OUTSIDE to create a custom embellishment perfectly fit your project like my card here.

Customizing My Hoppy Card

I just adore how cute this little bunny silhouette from the 3D Foam Easter Shapes is! What a great touch to cover it with fun flock to it and send off to my niece for Easter.

First, die-cut a label shape from Kraft cardstock and stamp “Hoppy Easter” in raspberry ink at the bottom. Place the bunny shape onto the Kraft die cut. Then remove the top liner from the bunny shape and pour a little fun flock on top. Spread it around and press it into the adhesive. Shake off excess and you have yourself a warm and fuzzy bunny!

Adhere a band of white cardstock with E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable and adhere to the card base. Wrap twine around the band and tie into a bow.

Adhere embellished label die cut to card front with 3D Foam Squares to create a dimensional focal point. So cute! Now off to send to my niece 🙂

Life Is Art Tag

Hello everyone! Asia King here. Today I have a mixed media tutorial for you. I’ve altered a wooden tag with a lovely canvas front – I so love that texture – and here are the steps you need to complete the project.

1. You will need: Creative Canvas tag, Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix Black, DODZ™ – Small, DODZ™ – 3D, Stamps – Life Is Art, Jumbo Moray Dahlia, Asian Umbrella, Jumbo Spider Mum, Gelatos, baby wipes, Pearl paint dabber.

2. Randomly scribble Gelatos over the tag and blend with a baby wipe. Add more colour to achieve the depth you want.

3. Stamp the flourish slightly off the edges with Pearl paint.

4. Stamp the ornate border along the vertical edges with Neon Pink ink.

5. Stamp the sentiment as shown with black StazOn ink.

6. Stamp the flower spray along the edges with StazOn ink, and colour in with your favourite markers/pens.

7. Stamp the flower spray again onto white card, colour in and fussy cut the flowers.

8. Add the flowers to the tag with Thin Black 3D Foam Squares.

9. Add additional accents with 3d foam squares.

10. Cover the foam squares with the Micro Glitters.

11. Add a small flower bouquet and adhere with DODZ™ – Small and DODZ™ – 3D.

12. Add finishing touches with Liquid Pearls.

Glassine Bag Gift Card Holder

Hello Latisha here with you today. I have two teenagers, and it seems like they are always invited to a birthday. My go-to gift these days for kids/teenagers are gift cards. I am always trying to come up with new and easy way to package a gift card. So today, I am using a glassine bag.

Glassine Bag Gift Card Holder by Latisha Yoast for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Here are step by step instructions, as well as photos to walk you through this easy way to decorate a glassine bag. I used this for a gift card holder, but you could easily put money in the bag or even some kind of treat.

1. Using the Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L Adhesive Sheets. Trim down card stock, and also part of the adhesive sheet to perfectly adhere over the cardstock. I trim down the sheet so I don’t waste any product.

2. Peel off the backing to the adhesive sheet, and adhere it to the cardstock.

3. The cardstock is now a sticker. Place the die cuts over the card stock, to create scallop circle stickers.

4. Peel off the backing of the die cut, and place it onto the glassine bag.

5. Using scissors, trim off the excess card stock hanging off the side of the bag.

6. Using Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L Dodz Small, adhere sequins to the bag.

7. Add a larger scallop sticker to close the bag shut, tie twine around the bag to embellish.

Quick and easy gift card holder.

Layered Birthday Balloon

Hello! Kimberly here with a fun, and as always, quick card for a birthday. This card will work to send to anyone on your list! Who doesn’t love a red balloon?

After layering my papers and stickers to my card base, I added the balloon shape from 3D Foam Cupcakes. I removed the top backing and then applied red foil to the entire surface. then I added a small star from 3D Foam Stars to the center of the balloon and applied gold foil to it.

Just a side view so you can see all the layers I love to create with my 3D Foam Squares Small White. The first layer of patterned paper, the die cut pennant shapes, the row of candles, the sticker at the bottom, all popped up to add fun dimension!
