Tags with Flowers and Hearts – Tutorial

Hi everyone, Christine here today with a tutorial for tags with Flowers and Hearts. Each month I meet up with some craft-loving friends and we exchange little gifts. I like to personalize my gifts with special tags and it is easily achievable with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®!

Making the Tag Bases

Select pretty patterned papers and kraft luggage tags. Cut the papers to size and affix into place with E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. These dispensers have 150 feet of long-lasting adhesive, and when it’s gone you can easily drop in a refill. There is a quick video to use them below.

Determine your tag design. My tag layout is fairly simple. Next, cut pieces of patterned paper. I used the reverse of the floral paper. Position and affix to create a block across the bottom of each tag.

A perfect way to enhance your tags is to add Kraft Creative Photo Corners. These are self-adhesive and embossed. You’ll find them in a variety of colors including white, which you can ink to customize the color to your projects.

Embellish with Flowers and Hearts

For the main design elements, I die-cut leaves, flowers and hearts. Start by adding the heart die cut as the base of the tag embellishments. You can use a combination of 3D Foam Squares White Mix in regular and small sizes to secure it to the base and give it a pop of dimension.

Make sure to ink the flowers and leaves to match the color scheme in the tags. Then begin layering the die cuts starting from the flowers and leaves. Don’t forget to add a pearl to each flower center.

Here are the finished tags with some handwritten inspirational words, perfect for my craft loving friends.

Make a Dotted Card with 3D Foam Circles

Hi everyone, Yvonne here with a happy colored card with lots of dots: stamped dots, glittered 3D Foam Circles and rhinestone “dots”. With the great Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® products, this card is really easy to make and embellish.

Yes…let me show you how to “Wear your Adhesive on the Outside!” with this card! That’s where I use Adhesives as embellishments instead of hiding them between layers.

Dotted Card Step-Outs

First stamp text circles onto a rectangle piece of white cardstock using a black ink pad.

Then color the circles in pastel colors with markers.

Next, trim a piece of blue patterned cardstock to a rectangle size that is slightly smaller than the top layer.

Now adhere the stamped top layer onto the blue panel using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Wrap beige ribbon around the panel and adhere the ends to the back of the panel using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Then trim a folded piece of cardstock to make a card base and adhere the panel on top, using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Embellished Details

Cut out an old photo using scissors and adhere it onto a slightly larger rectangle-shaped die-cut using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Adhere the photo panel onto the card front using 3D Foam Squares Regular Size.

Next, adhere a bow to the card with Adhesive Dots Large. Adhesive Dots are provide a strong hold without staining!

Dot the Card

Now it’s time to dot the card! Start by randomly adding White 3D Foam Circles on the card front. Remove the liners one at a time and sprinkle different colors of glitter to the top of each dot. Press with your finger to secure and tap off the excess between colors.

Adhere rhinestones to the card using Adhesive Dots Micro and finish the card with a “Be Your Beautiful Self” sticker sentiment.

Foiled Dot Mandala Bud Vase Centerpiece

Hi friends! Dana Tatar here today sharing how to use Adhesive Dots and Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets to create a mandala bud vase centerpiece.

I’m always looking for fun ways to “Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside,” which means using it as an embellishment, not hiding it between layers. This lustrous dot mandala pattern brings a fantastic pop of color to my décor.

I started this project with a wood flower hanging. It made a great sturdy base for this centerpiece project. You can see I upcycled some old glass mist bottles into bud vases. The colored Metallic Transfer Foil adds a touch of sparkle to this piece.

Make the Bud Vase Base

How to Upcycle Clearsnap Smooch Spritz Mist Bottles into Bud Vases

To begin, look around the house for items that would create a sturdy centerpiece. Any block of scrap wood or a wood slice will work. If empty misters aren’t in your stash, try using an old perfume bottle or other piece of decorative glass.

Next, use an electric drill and bit to create holes to hold the glass bud vase, or vases, depending on your design. Three holes drilled with a 9/16th bit work for my design. You can vary the depth of holes so that each bud vase sits at a different height.

Apply Metallic Transfer Foil to the Base

Gather several sizes of Adhesive Dots and apply them to the wood base in a mandala pattern.

Then, apply Metallic Transfer Foil over the adhesive. This teal color is part of the Variety Colors.

Designer Tips: Work in sections, one color of foil at a time. Press the foil onto the adhesive, colored side up, and rub to transfer the foil. Then, quickly remove the sheet, like tearing off a band-aid.

Repeat this process until all the Adhesive Dots on the base are foiled.

Finish the Mandala Bud Vases

Fill the empty mist bottles with water and insert them into the drilled holes. Add a flower to each bud vase and enjoy!

Making Monogram Luggage Tags with Foil

Hello! Judy here today to share Holographic Monogram Luggage Tags. This project idea popped into my mind as I was packing to take a trip. Why not make some pretty luggage tags so I could quickly spot my suitcase? These are so easy to make that I made three for my travel friends!

Monogram Luggage Tags Steps

Grab some fun beachy papers that work well with the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors in Gold. I cut three pieces of patterned paper to 2⅜ x 3¾-inches to fit inside the tags. The Self-Laminating Tags with Loops come in 4 colors. I’m using green, yellow and blue to coordinate with my paper.

Now apply Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6 inch to both sides of white cardstock for the letters. Cut each paper into small pieces to fit on a die and then die cut. Remove the liner from the backside of each letter and place them on the patterned papers.

Next remove the liner from the front of each letter, being careful not touch the adhesive. Place the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors in Gold with the color side up, onto the adhesive letter and rub well. You could use a Teflon bone folder for that step. Lift the Transfer Foil sheet off to reveal a pretty gold foiled letter!

The next step to make your monogram luggage tags is to place each monogram sheet in a Self-Laminating Tag. Center and hold the paper against the clear front of the tag. Then remove the liner and carefully smooth the paper in place. I like to burnish the edges well with a bone folder for good adhesion. Add the loop to the tag to finish it.

See how pretty the back sides of the tags are! The patterned paper shows through the tinted back of each tag. Now just to add one to your luggage, backpack or tote bag!

Hello Card with Texture

Welcome back, crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a sweet little Hello Card filled with texture, along with some tips and tricks on how to create it.

I don’t know about you, but I love to play with textures on my projects. But sometimes, that can prove to be tricky when it comes to adhering them.

The card base is white cardstock. Cut a piece of pink cardstock that is 4 x 5.25-inch, and cut a piece of white cardstock that is 3.5 x 4.75-inch.

Tips and Tricks for Texture on Cards

I took the white piece of cardstock just cut and added a very thick lacy edged ribbon up the middle. For something like this, the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser is the perfect solution. This adhesive will adhere to any tricky ribbon texture perfectly. I ran the adhesive up to the middle and then also in the back so that the ribbon could be wrapped around the back.

Then I used the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser again to add the rosette ribbon up the middle of the lace-edged ribbon.

Add the white cardstock front with the ribbon to the pink cardstock using Creative Photo Corners White. Another perfect accent for a card. The pink cardstock layer was adhered to the card front using Crafty Foam Tape White.

I die cut the Hello sentiment wreath from white cardstock and a circle of pink cardstock to go underneath. As always I wanted to add a little sparkle to this Texture Filled Card. Using the fine point end of the Dual Tip Glue Pen I covered the “Hello” part of the die cut and then added fine pink glitter. Let dry. Using the same Dual Tip Glue Pen adhere the die cut to the pink cardstock circle.

To add the die cut sentiment piece to the front of the card I used 2 layers of 3D Foam Squares White to be able to get it up higher than the thick rosette ribbon.

Explore Your World Travel Games

Hello, Shellye McDaniel with you today. I’m sharing this cute set of “Travel Games” featuring travel themed papers and the Self-Laminating Pouches – Cards X-Large, Large, and Medium. This should help keep those impatient travelers from being bored, right?

I have used the “Explore Your World” Collection from patterned papers, stickers to journal cards from Paper House Productions. Aren’t they perfect for this project?

I’m using the HomeHobby by 3L Self-Laminating Pouches, which are cold laminating, and you don’t need additional accessories or a heat machine. here’s a quick video that shows how to use them.

Travel Game Pages

To begin I selected various sizes of the Self-Laminating Pouches – Cards X-Large, Large, and Medium. Following the dimensions of the pouches, I cut the patterned papers to fit into each one.

I used Cardstock stickers, Clear Cuts, and Faux Enamel Stickers to decorate the laminated pages. Dimension was added to several stickers when I incorporated the 3D Foam Squares White Mix. To attach the button I used the Adhesive Dots 3D.

Before I added the strip of paper (shown above), I used elastic to create a pen holder. First, I cut two pieces of FOE and then folded over to make a loop. I used two large brads to hold the elastic in place. To hide the backs of the brads, I added the strip of airplane paper.

In decorating the blue paper strip, I die-cut letters for the title. The Dual Tip Glue Pen is perfect for attaching the small letters!

Let’s Connect the Dots!

For the “Connect the Dots” page, I drew small dots with a black marker on the Up, Up & Away We Go double-sided paper before inserting into the Self-Laminating Pouches – Cards Large. When using a dry-erase marker, the game can be played over and over!

Note Taking Ideas

The Notes page is larger and perfect for reminders, drawings, or making notes. Here I’ve used the Self-Laminating Pouches – Cards X-Large. I used tags from the Explore Your World Tags double-sided paper for decoration in between the pages.

Tic-Tac-Toe

The final page: Tic-Tac-Toe! After cutting the Suitcases double-sided paper to 8.5″ X 11″, I used the leftover stripes to create the lines. I chose the Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/8in to attach the strips.

In finishing, I used 1-inch binder rings to hold the pages together.

Meal Planning Wipe Board

Are you the head cook in your house? Looking for a way to let your family know what the meal plan is for the day? A fun way to do just that is to make a meal planning board – just hang on your fridge for all to see!

These boards are easy to make with a few basic craft supplies, an old magnet, dry erase markers and Self-Laminating Pouches.

Creating a Meal Planning Board

Start by cutting a piece of cardstock to fit in the pouch. Be sure to check the packaging for your pouches as it will tell you exactly what size the cardstock panel should be.

Cover the top of the cardstock panel with patterned paper. Add three smaller rectangles of cardstock to it.

Take three small pieces of Extreme Double-Sided Tape and cut an angle off the bottom of each one. Adhere each piece of tape to the small rectangles. Remove the tape liners and burnish Metallic Transfer Foil onto each piece of tape. Complete each panel by adding “b”, “l” and “d” stickers for breakfast, lunch and dinner to them.

Apply some additional strips of patterned paper to the bottom of the cardstock panel.

Take a small piece of cardstock and use letter stickers (or stamps) to write “meals” on it. Take a piece of double-sided tape and add it to the word strip. Again, remove the liner and apply foil to it. Adhere the word strip to the cardstock panel.

Finishing Up the Wipe Board

Laminate the cardstock panel by placing it a Self-Laminating Pouch and sealing it up.

You can pop holes in the top of your meal planning board with a hole punch and add string or ribbon to it to hang it. You can also make it so you can hang it on your fridge.

An easy way to do this is to take an old magnet, cut it half and then add some double-sided tape to it. Affix the magnet pieces to the back of your meal planning wipe board and place it on your fridge.

Use dry erase or wet erase marker write out your meal plans every day! At the end of day, wipe off the words and jot down the next day’s meals.

To the Moon and Back Journal Page

Hi everyone, Yvonne here with a tutorial on how easy it is to create a Journal Page using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® products…not just for adhering only, but also to Wear Your Adhesives on the Outside.

For my project, I used a Journey book, which is also great for art journaling as I will show you. Come on and let’s get crafty!

Journal Page Base

For my Journal page, I used two pages from a Journey book.

First I cut some gorgeous patterned paper to a size slightly smaller than the page is wide. I used a corner punch and then, before adhering I tore the sky-patterned paper before adhering it to the Journal page using the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser. This cute compact Adhesive Dispenser is so handy to always have along!

Then ink the edges of the journal pages using purple ink and an ink blending tool.

Spread the paste evenly with a spatula over a stencil that is on top of the Journal Page. Remove the stencil. Now let dry thoroughly (or use a heating tool for a quick dry).

Embellishing the Journal Page

First I adhered the vellum sentiments using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser for stainless and invisible adhering of the vellum.

Ink edges with brown ink on a vintage photo and adhere with Crafty Power Tape Dispenser 81ft. Add trim under the photo with Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/8in for perfect and invisible adhering.

Next, I randomly placed 3D Foam Circles White Mix on the pages. Remove the liner and rubbed Gold foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors to transfer color to the 3D Foam Circles White Mix. This technique is called “Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside!” Simple, right?!

Add floral washi tape for accents and randomly stamp a postage stamp on the page with black ink. Next, place a Creative Photo Corners Silver on a corner of the vintage photo for extra interest.

Finally, the moon and stars stickers and a sentiment sticker to complete the Journal Page.

Voila…your To the Moon and Back Journal Page is ready. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and wish you happy crafting!

I firstly measured across the journal to create a patterned insert. This easily slides under the central elastic threads, it also the place where you open and insert notebooks.

Onto kraft card, I affixed patterned paper with E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser. It comes with 150 feet of the double-sided Permanent Strips inside! When you’re done, you throw it in the recycle bin.

For additional storage, to the left side of the prepared patterned insert, I affixed a pre-made kraft envelope using Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4 inch. This tape grips firmly immediately with no drying time.
