For this card, I stamped the message, die cut and embossed, then sanded the detail on the layers. I adhered them with 3D Foam Squares for dimension – I used black so that they blended in between the layers. I added the Black Creative Photo Corners to frame in the card, I love how that looks, and it’s so easy!

BethPingry-Awesome2Finally, I added more color with the 3D Foam Pennants, which are covered in red glitter and Gold Pigment Powder, with 3D Foam Stars too! I simply add the stars to the top of the embellished pennants. (It’s so easy to use the 3D Foam Shapes – check out all the designs available!) I tucked a bit of twine behind them and knotted it.

3D Designer Foam Shapes with Pocket Scrapbooking

Hello Everyone!  It’s Kelly here to share my last project for 2014!

If you do any pocket scrapbooking or Project Life, then you should know that all the 3D Foam Shapes are perfect as embellishments for these types of pages. I showed how to use these fun 3D Foam Shapes in the latest Winter 2014 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine. Because of the Christmas theme, I altered all the shapes with glitter.

Vintage Ice Skates With 3D Creative Foam Sheets

Hello crafty Friends! Asia King here. Christmas 2014 is over – can you believe it? I always feel a bit sad when Christmas days are over so quickly, especially after months of preparations. So I like to hang onto them for as long as I can :). That’s why today I am going to share another Christmas card.

For my card I used papers and transparencies from the Simple Stories – December Documented collection. To fix my cardstock and papers I used E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips – Refillable My transparency was first embossed with Baubles and Baubles folder and to adhere  it I used Photo Corners – Polypropylene, Clear. The clear photo corners are perfect for preserving the overall look of transparencies, as you can hardly see them.

The ice skates were die cut from white 3D Foam Creative Sheets. I peeled the protective sheets off in stages which allowed me to cover the ice skates with different glitters without any problems. Next I stamped the snowflakes with silver ink directly onto the glittered surface and threaded the ‘shoe laces’. I layered the ice skates onto the card, raising the top shoe with Foam Squares – White Mix and Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix White.

Next I embellished the top of the card with stickers, die cut pine branches, flowers, ribbons and glittered 3D Foam Christmas Shapes and DODZ3D.  All adhered with DODZ Small and DODZ 3D.

I also added a wooden ‘holiday’ shape adhered with  Adhesive Sheets – 4×6” which I decorated with red glitter glue.

Happy 2015 Tag

Hi crafty friends and happy Saturday! It’s Lisa here and we are one day closer to a brand new year. Hard to believe, isn’t it? It sure feels like it’s just flown by to me. I’m currently visiting with my beautiful family and made this tag to “ring in the New Year”.

So many FUN things happening on this tag! I used glossy card stock and cut it to the size of a #10 tag. Using various colors of Alcohol Inks I simply dropped them randomly wherever I wanted them (1 color at a time) and, using a straw, blew the inks across the tag. Such a fun technique! When I was done I dropped a little Blending Solution onto a blending tool to make the colors look a little different, more splotchy. 🙂

Using a stencil I used silver embossing paste and just prior to being dry I added frosted mica flakes. On the far left I stamped the numbers “2015” vertically in archival ink and added white accents to make the numbers stand out.

At the bottom of the tag I die-cut the word “Happy”. I used the Adhesive Sheets to apply the perfect adhesive to apply the die-cut word where I wanted it. The empty space where the word was cut from I put a piece of silver glitter card stock behind and adhered that with MyStik® Permanent Strips. Die-cutting some stars from the same glitter card stock I used the center portion of the stars and popped them up using 3D Foam Squares in Black, Small.

Then I thought how cool it would be to add a small Keepsake Envelope (Mix), fill it will sequins, add the outer portion of the die-cut stars, and use tiny numbers that do a countdown! So that’s exactly what I did.

My final touch was to add some silver elastic cord through the hole at the top. I cut it just short enough to make it stand up a little so that it resembles fire works. Well, to me it does. 😉

I hope that the close-up shots give you an idea of what was done. Such a fun tag to make and a real focal piece to put on your table if you have a New Year’s Eve Party. Wishing you all a very happy and health 2015.

Get Well Soon Gift

I am sharing a simple Get Well Soon/Thinking of You gift, to give to a friend or family member or even a neighbor when they might not be feeling so hot. It is a tag attached to a clear bag, with tea bags. It doesn’t have to be Earl Grey Tea, maybe chamomile or peppermint tea, those are nice soothing teas.

Instructions:

1.  Die cut white yardstick with the square & typewriter dies.

2.  Stamp sentiment in black ink onto the square die cut.

3.  Adhere the typewriter die cut to the square using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

4.  Die cut Fancy Pants pattern paper with a heart die.

5.  Adhere the heart die cut to the typewriter using foam squares.

6.  Place tea bags into the clear bag.

7.  Adhere a few strips of adhesive on the back on the tag using the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L MyStik Permanent Strips tape runner.

8.  Adhere the bag to the strips.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Michele here today with a last minute Christmas card! Can you believe it is Christmas Eve already? I am still getting the last of my cards out!  I used this circle die from Lawn Fawn and filled the circles with various designer papers.  I adhered it to the cream panel using E-Z Squares®. 
merry christmasI tied a bow and created the large poinsettia using a die from Provo Craft.  I wanted it to have a bit of sparkle so I gave each petal a thin coating of glossy accents and sprinkled it with glitter.  I attached each of the layers using my DODZ™ Medium.  I added the sentiment and sequins and secured them with the DODZ™ small.

Winter Sleigh with Crafty Power Tape

Hi! It’s Erica and today I’m sharing a winter sleigh I altered using Crafty Power Tape, as well as a step-by-step tutorial showing you how I altered my sleigh!

Alter the Winter Sleigh

First, I started by spraying my sleigh with white Gesso. I then traced the sleigh onto several sheets of pattern paper, cut the pieces out, and adhered them to the sleigh with an E-Z Permanent Strips dispenser. Next, I ran Crafty Power Tape along either side of the sleigh and covered the tape with white glitter.

Embellishing the Winter Sleigh

Finally, using Crafty Power Tape and Crafty Foam Tape I decorated my sleigh with trees, flowers, and ribbon.

Christmas Door Sign

Hello there,

It’s Stephanie here today and I want to show you a lovely Christmas Door Sign I made using some beautiful 3D Foam Christmas Shapes.

Only two days until Christmas Eve (we celebrate at 24.12.). Are you already excited and looking forward to it? Our home is decorated and also the doors have gotten a decoration.

I had to made a door sign for my daughter’s room because she has so much wished it.

Here is a little tutorial for it.

Lay out a few papers, a backgroundpaper for the door sign (I used a penant shape), a motife and a composition of paper scrap, tag and wordsticker.

Use the 3D Foam Christmas Shapes and embossing powder to create another decoration elements. I used brown powder for the gingerbread man.

And I used red powder for the mouth of the gingerbread man and a star and circles.

Create a snow feeling with white acrylic paint and a sponge. Let it dry.

Then you can decorate it all together with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips – Refillable. I also used a red ribbon on top of the door sign.

Photo Transfer Technique featuring Adhesive Sheets

Have you tried a photo transfer with our Adhesive Sheets? Hello blog readers! It’s Angela here today sharing a Photo Transfer Technique Tutorial featuring Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L® Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6″.

First of all, gather your supplies.

How to Photo Transfer with Adhesive Sheets

1. Print a reverse image of your photograph large enough to cover your coaster (this step is only necessary if you have text either in or added to your photo).

2. Make a color photocopy of your photo (this keeps the ink from running when it gets wet). Cut off any excess copy paper. Peel back the yellow protective layer from the Adhesive Sheet 4 x 6″ and place the photo GOOD SIDE down onto the adhesive.

3. Burnish the good side of the photo, then remove photo from adhesive sheet. Place adhesive covered photo face up on your work table.

4. Align and place a clean coaster face side down onto adhesive covered photo. Flip over and burnish aggressively.

Photo Transfer Details

5. Wet the back side of the photo. Starting in the center, begin to remove the paper with gentle scrubbing. I used a scouring kitchen sponge to gently rub the paper off, but you could use your fingers or even steel wool if you want a more aggressively aged look. Here’s a picture of the paper partially removed:

6. Continue until all the paper is removed. Minimize the additional water you use….too much makes it too easy to rub the entire project off the coaster, not enough and you can’t remove the paper effectively. The photo should look like a slighted muted version of the original when done. While still damp, the photo will cloud over again as it dries).

7. Let the project COMPLETELY dry at this point. I used a heat tool with no ill effect. Seal with a commercially available spray sealer. Mine was solvent-borne and worked fine provided the project was COMPLETELY dry!

I love the distressed edges on my coasters and consequently, some of the distressing carried through the body of the project. Fabulous!

Peace Wreath – Using Photo Corners and 3D Foam Snowflakes

Hi crafty friends, it’s Lisa here! Can you believe it’s almost Christmas?!! I’m so unprepared! But, as is my nature, I’m waiting ’til the last minute to get things done. 🙂 I hope this fun and sparkly card gets YOUR creative juices flowing and gets you inspired.

Isn’t it fun? And I love the color combination. It just makes me happy.

How to Make the Peace Wreath

1. Using circle dies, die-cut a circle to create the base of the wreath.

2. Gather desired glitter colors and 3D Foam Snowflakes.

3. Peel off protective layer from 3D Foam Snowflake and shake Glitter on top. Burnish into the adhesive. Brush away excess. Repeat for as many snowflakes as desired. Including the fun snowdrops!

4. To create the “wreath”, simply adhere the Silver Creative Photo Corners one at a time onto the die-cut circle so that they fit snugly into each other.

5. Attach your snowflakes. (No photo.)

6.  Use small Thin 3D Foam Squares for just a little bit of lift under the wreath. And adhere wreath to card front.

7.  I worked backwards and had already adhered my wreath, so I used the MyStik® Permanent Strips to adhere the card front to the card base.

8. Die cut a sentiment from glitter card stock (leave the die stuck in the square of paper). Then cut a piece of Adhesive Sheets the same size as the size (at least) of your die cut. Remove the yellow release paper and burnish it to the back side of your die cut. The die can then be pull out from the front ready to be adhered.

LisaAdametz-PeaceWreath-59. Embellish the wreath as desired. I added a little sparkly twine and a few extra fun colored pearls. Here are a few close-ups!
