Avery Elle Blog Hop Day 4 – Brighter Days

Hello, it is Christine here today and a warm UK welcome to Day 4 of the Avery Elle Blog Hop!

For my card I used Weather It Clear Stamps, I created the pink, grey and white card base using Spellbinders® Grand Squares. I matted them using and E-Z® Runner Permanent Strips Refillable and the white base with Crafty Foam Tape White. I stamped the umbrella three times, two in grey and one in bright pink and cut out. I gave them extra dimension by using 3D Foam Squares Black Regular and the sentiment ‘wishing you brighter days’ die cut with Spellbinders Back to Basics Tags – works so well with the colourful umbrella.

I chose to use little gemstones to represent the rain.

Avery Elle Blog Hop Day 3: Wish Big

Hello! AJ here with day three of our blog hop with Avery Elle!

I just LOVE Avery Elle’s stamps. Hands down my most favorite. I decided to use the new Storybook set for my card. I adhered the patterned paper with E-Z Squares® Refillable. *Tip- use the E-Z® Dots Refillable Permanent for the very tip of the of the patterned paper corners where the regular runner or square don’t fit. Then, I stamped the Kraft background and then embossed it with sparkly embossing powder.

I colored in the balloons with pencils and then popped that layer up with Crafty Foam Tape. The cute little bow is adhered by snipping a Dodz™ in half and then rolling between your fingers to make a thin size piece to use.

Avery Elle Blog Hop Day 2: For Baby

Hello Blogosphere! It’s Tiffany here today and welcome to Day 2 of our Blog Hop with Avery Elle!

For my card, I chose to work with the Storybook Stamp Set designed by Heather Campbell. I used my Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos and Art Grip Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils to color my stamped images.

To attach my little twine banner, I used Adhesive Dots Small. You can’t even see the adhesive underneath those mini bows!

To adhere the banner die-cut, I used 3D Foam Squares because those little clothespins add a ton of dimension and I didn’t want to lose that! To make everything complete, I adhered my card front using my go-to adhesive, MyStik® Permanent Strips! Easy Peasy!

Avery Elle Hop Day 1 – Seriously Awesome!

Hi and welcome to the Blog Hop with Avery Elle Stamps! All the contest details are below, but first lets talk about you. “You Are Seriously Awesome” is the sentiment I chose to use for my card! It’s a perfect sentiment for just about any card and any occasion!

These stamps are 3.5 inches wide, so I decided to create my own background using an old book page, ink, a stencil and a pen. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder.

For the pen, I stamped it twice, cut out both sets and layered them on top of each other with black and white 3D Foam Squares. I had to cut them to fit the skinny pen, but they cut easily. I added 3D Foam Hearts for just a little bit more love. And glitter. Gotta have some glitter!

Dad You Rock Father’s Day Card

Happy Father’s Day! I am sharing my Father’s Day card I made for my husband.

While my husband tries to put on his “yeah that’s super cute” face on any time I show him something I make, I know he really isn’t that impressed. 😉 I still make him cards, but I tend to simplify them quite a bit.

To start, I stamped my sentiment and then adhered my die cut letters to the front using E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable. I pop every thing if possible, and usually use Crafty Foam Tape to do it. Crafty Foam Tape makes the world go round.

Next I thought the 3D Foam Stars would add some thing special without leaning towards frilly. When ever I cover our 3D Foam Shapes, I use an old backing sheet from our 3D Foam Squares to cover with glitter. Cover with glitter and place on your card for a finishing touch!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello everyone! Big crafty power hugs from Asia King! Today I have a masculine birthday card to share.

To create my card I prepared a 6″ x 6″ card blank and covered the front with patterned paper using MyStik® Permanent Strips.

Next I punched 13 2-inch circles from patterned papers, added some stamping and distressed the edges. After that I scored the circles to create square bases and raised flaps. I added them to the card using White Mounting Squares.

To embellish my card I added a handful of Black 3D Foam Squares covered in glitter and a few buttons adhered using DODZ™ – Medium.

That’s it! Quick and easy project but so fun to make!

A Cool Dad Card

Hello Everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share a special card for Father’s Day.

I know all our Dads are cool and ride motorcycles, right? If not, you can still add some “cool” stuff to a card to make it awesome, like I did with these 3D elements.

Just grab your Crafty Foam Tape and you’re ready to roll.

Cut the Crafty Foam Tape into strips that run from the bottom corner of your card base diagonally across to the upper corner. TIP: Use non-stick scissors.

Then pour on the silver glitter. Even Dads deserve some sparkle on their special day!

You can see that I did not remove the backing of the one foam strip because I wanted my motorcycle to stick to it.

I also decided to use a 3D Foam Heart below one of the sentiment stickers. So out came the red glitter!

I adhered this whole paper layer to my folded card base using my E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable.

I love the dimensional effect of the 3D Foam Heart!

And I think that silver roadway is pretty darn cool, too!

Now I have to run out and buy a “cool” BBQ for my husband for Father’s Day! I hope you enjoy this special day with the men in your life and have time to make a few cards too!

Thanks a Bunch

Hello & happy Thursday, Latisha here with you today, sharing a “thanks” card.

A lot of us make “thank you” cards, but how many of us actually send them? I know I am so guilty of this. Well, since my daughter just graduated High School, the girl is going to sit down, and write out some thank you’s! I ordered some Thank You notes, from the same place we got her announcements, but we are going to need more than the 25 they sent. So its time to create some cards that I can mass produce, but are still cute enough and flat enough that I only need one stamp to send.

It is actually harder that it seems lol.

Here are some basic instructions on how I made today’s card.

1. Cut/score cardstock.

2. Round bottom corners.

3. Trim pattern paper, round bottom corners.

4. Adhere green pattern paper using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable.

5. Adhere strip of yellow pattern paper using the same adhesive.

6. Die cut white cardstock.

7. Stamp sentiment in black ink onto the the die cut.

8. Adhere the diecut to the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares (white).

9. Tie a bow using twine.

10. Adhere bow using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz™ Small.

3D Foam Creative Sheets Mixed Media Congrats Tag

Hi my crafty friends, it’s Lisa here with a mixed media tag for you today. I had SO much fun creating this that in hindsight I wish I had video taped it. Next time, okay?

You can DIE-CUT (oh yes!!) the 3D Foam Creative Sheets using your die cutting machine and that’s exactly what I did here. It’s so easy to do and you get really cool results from it!

First step? Die cut your 3D Foam Creative Sheet. Keep the sheet in tact with the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® logo on the back. Then start applying your glitters and patterned papers. I used two glitters (one coarse, one fine) and then used the same die to cut my patterned paper.

See those little parts of the patterned paper hexagons hanging off the edge? Don’t sweat it. Just trim those off when you apply this gorgeous 3D lovely to the tag!

I then quickly painted up a quick background for my tag before placing the die-cut hexagon 3D Creative Foam Sheet piece on there. I also die-cut the word “Congrats” towards the bottom of the tag, too. (See it?)

Then just lay the entire 3D Creative Foam Creative Sheet down (with the backings removed from the hexagons prior to adhering).

And gently pull away the remainder of the sheet from AROUND the hexagons (and trim those hexies now!). Like this:

Remove the die-cut word “Congrats” and turn the tag over. Cut a strip of vellum cardstock to cover. Use the Crafty Power Tape to hold it in place.

All that’s left is to embellish! I like to use the Adhesive Dots Small when adhering my sequins and other items that don’t have a sticky back already. The Adhesive Dots make it super easy since each one come on their own single dot dispenser. You never get sticky dots everywhere!!

Wasn’t that easy? This is a #10 size tag and even though it has a few sequins and some glitter I STILL think it’s neutral enough to give to a man. Maybe? Ha! And the back of the tag can be covered with strips of patterned paper, too, which would make it even lovelier.

Hi there! It’s Michele Kovack here with a fun camera shaker card! I love cards that are interactive and shaker cards are the perfect way to do that! I used several of my favorite products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. First I used the 3D Foam Creative Sheets to create the shaker part of the camera.

I used my circle Spellbinder’s dies to cut my circles from the foam adhesive sheets.

I used the dies to cut the cardstock as well as the acetate. Assemble the camera lens in this order: cardstock, acetate, foam circle. Fill center with sequins and adhere back to “camera lens.”

I wanted to dress up my camera so I used the 3D Foam Butterflies.
