♥ Bless You Confirmation Card

Good morning, Shannon here sharing a layered Confirmation Card with you. I created it using some of my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® staples. Layering brings out wonderful dimension on the card. Even though things are still “flat”, the card looks like it’s reaching out to you 🙂

♥ Bless You Confirmation Card by Shannon Morgan for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

If you look at the layers, you’ll see it’s pretty simple to assemble this card, the best part? You’ll only need your  E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser and Adhesive Dots Micro for this card.

Layering the Confirmation Card

Trim the patterned paper to fit the card base as its first layer and adhere with E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. Next layer a piece of tracing paper/vellum again with the E-Z Runner Grand. Note: I crinkled the top to give it a little extra interest to the card.

When placing the heart offset a little and add the doily next. To secure, I used both the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser and Adhesive Dots Micro. The Adhesive Dots Micro is perfect to get those delicate parts of the doily in place on the card.

For the dove focal element, I found the clip art on the computer, printed and hand cut it. The sentiment is a clear sticker that I added on top of the doily.

I secured the sequins on the card by using Adhesive Dots Micro. For the bow, I looped some twine, tied it in a bow and secured it with an Adhesive Dots Micro. A piece of washi tape and a staple added, the Confirmation card is finished to be ready for a special recipient.

Fun Luggage Tags with Self-Laminating Tags

Hello friends!  Today, I’m sharing some quick fun luggage tags! With the graduation season upon us, I thought these tags would be perfect little gifts for graduates!

Fun Luggage Tags with Self-Laminating Tags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Creating Quick and Easy Luggage Tags

Self-Laminating Tags with Loops make these tags easy! Just add fun colors by simply cutting colorful patterned papers into 2 3/8 x 3 3/4 inches to fit in the laminated tags.

Let’s embellish the cut papers before sealing them in the laminated tags.  I’ve used a combination of E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser and E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser with gold foil from the 3D Foam Holiday Embellishment Kit. Use them to add gold accent on front and back of two cut papers. It gives it such a great effect, don’t you think?

Next, add the embellished cut paper into the Self-Laminating Tags with Loops.. Then gently peel back adhesive liner and press tag edges together. The photo below shows that the instructions are printed on the liner. Lastly, thread the clear loop through the opening.

That’s it – Fun Luggage Tags are made! There are a set of four different colored tags that includes clear, pink, blue and yellow. Each tag has personality 🙂

This pink tag has gold dots strip added using E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser and gold foil.

Another tag I added gold dots on corners with gold foil and E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser.

For this blue tag, gold stripe and dots on the back with E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser and gold foil.

Thank you so much for stopping!

Happy crafting!

3D Smile Friend Card Set

Hi, everyone! Teri here with a set of handmade cards that will bring a smile 🙂 Using 3D Foam products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®, it is an excellent way to add pop and dimension to all your paper crafting and memory keeping projects.

3D Smile Friend Card Set for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L by Teri Anderson

Making those Smile Card Backgrounds

The striped backgrounds were easy to create. I cut several striped rectangles from pink, green, orange and blue cardstock.

Next, I folded three cards and adhered the rectangles to them with Dual Tip Glue Pen. One of the tips on the Dual Tip Glue Pen has a thin tip which makes it perfect for applying adhesive to intricate die cuts.

To create dimension, I added stripes to each rectangle by adhering the stripes with 3D Foam Squares White Small and Thin 3D Foam Squares.

First I started adhering some stripes with 3D Foam Squares White Small.

Then I used Thin 3D Foam Squares to adhere the remaining stripes. The result was this cool multi-layered background for each card.

Adding the Sentiments

To complete my card set, sentiments were added to them and were kept simple by using the same sentiment on each one.

Each sentiment consists of a 3D “smile” word that I created with the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit. Simply adhere blue cardstock to a piece of 3D Creative Foam Sheet and die-cut the word three times from it. Then place each word on circles die-cut from white cardstock with “friend” stamped underneath them!

For extra dimension, I adhered the embellished circle die cuts with Crafty Foam Tape. Note: I used several strips to ensure the circles would not warp.

I hope you are inspired to make some 3D cards of your own! I’d love to see them! Be sure to share links to your projects in the Comments section.

Quilled Unicorn Frappuccino Card by Dana Tatar

Hi fellow coffee lovers! Dana Tatar here today sharing my love of coffee with a super fun and sparkly quilled Unicorn Frappuccino card. To cool down I order an iced caramel macchiato. I will definitely switch up my standard brew and try something new if there is a fun seasonal option.Quilled Unicorn Frappuccino Card with Glittered 3D Foam Hearts by Dana Tatar for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3LQuilling was the perfect way to mimic the swirls of color in a Unicorn Frappuccino. I used quilling paper and a Dual Tip Glue Pen to construct the design. I chose white quilling paper for the unicorn head, and pink, purple, and blue quilling paper to fill in the rest of the space. Next, I glued the quilled piece onto a stamped vellum cup and then attached the vellum to the card using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser. This adhesive works amazingly with vellum. The opaque adhesive dries clear over time for an invisible hold!

Finishing Touches

Quilled Unicorn Frappuccino Card with Glittered 3D Foam Hearts

I constructed a colorful geometric mat for the front of my card. Once the paper was pieced together with E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Adhesive, I attached it to a card base using Crafty Foam Tape. Adhesive Lines are my first choice for attaching all types of narrow embellishments to my craft projects. I used them to attach both the paper straw and the wood tag to the front of the card.

Finally, I added some finishing touches to the front of the card. 3D Foam Stars sprinkled with glitter added fun dimension and a pop of color. Lastly, I attached a multi-loop twine bow to the wood tag with a Small Adhesive Dot.

Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love to know what your favorite coffee concoction is. Leave me your answer in the comments section.

Upcycled Heat Embossed Coasters

Today’s project features upcycled heat embossed coasters. I’ve had this idea for awhile and finally visited some thrift stores. looking for something I could use.  Bingo!  I found just what I needed on my first stop.  Terri here, with a video tutorial for this altered project.  “Stick” around!

Upcycled Heat Embossed Coffee Coasters by Terri Burson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Items Needed for Upcycled Coasters

I have two different sized coasters measuring 4×4 inch and 3×3 inch.  For this project, I used an electronic die cut machine to scale down my measurements.  However, alphabet die cuts would work, using a manual die cut machine, as long as the sizes work accordingly.  Here’s a short list:

  • Coasters
  • Manual or Electric die cut machine
  • Adhesive Sheets 4×6 inch
  • 3D Foam Circles Black Mix (or white)
  • Brown Embossing Powder or choice of color
  • Craft Heat Tool
  • Burnishing Tool
  • Sharp tool or toothpick
  • Baby powder
  • Optional washi tape to mask area
  • Optional dryer sheet

Bonus Tips and Advice

Working on this project, there were two things I knew going in.  One, I was not expecting perfection.  In fact, I was hoping for a vintage feel and slight imperfections.  This is an upcycled project and as such, maintaining authenticity and a distressed look was key.  This was such fun to create and a great way to “Wear Your Adhesive On The Outside”!

I tried a couple things on the “coffee” coaster first.  That included masking parts of the cork area with washi tape.  My thought was, avoid getting embossing powder in the nooks and crannies of all that open cork space.  I did not use the masking process on the second coaster and it turned out great!  I did however, swipe both coasters with a dryer sheet.  It’s a little trick used to repel excess powders from accumulating.  If you’ve seen crafters use an embossing buddy (powder filled pouch), the dryer sheet does the same thing.  Craft hack!  Lastly, I also thought it might be possible to use stencils, for those who don’t have die cutting equipment.  Try pressing your Adhesive Sheets 4×6 inch into the stenciled area and rub well.  Let me know how that works!

I’ve got a video tutorial for this fun, upcycled coasters!  There is key information not included here, so don’t miss it.  3D Foam Circle bumpers and baby powder?  Another craft hack found in the video.

You’ll also find the full listing of product links on my blog at Waving My Wand.  Have a crafty day, everyone!  Terri

Cute Layered Elephant Card

Who wouldn’t break into a smile after receiving such a cute elephant card? No sentiment is added to this layered card so it’s suitable for lots of occasions such as a birthday or just to cheer up! Hello everyone, Yvonne here with a super cute stamped elephant card, all easily assembled together with quality products by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®.

Cute Layered Elephant Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I have used the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser for adhering all layers to the card base. For dimension, I used 3D Foam Squares White Mix and Adhesive Dots for super easy adhering of embellishments like the bow, pearls, and rhinestones.

Layering Up a Cute Elephant Card:

Mount a piece of patterned cardstock onto blue cardstock using the E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Then adhere the layered panel to a white card base.

Lift the yellow release paper of the Adhesive Sheets 6×12 inch and place a piece of silver cardstock on top. Trim the silver cardstock to the size of the etched die you are going to use. Then die-cut the etched die with the silver cardstock. Remove the release paper and place the frame on the card.

View the short video on How to Use Adhesive Sheets for Die Cutting below:

Stamp and color the elephant image onto white cardstock and then die-cut with a rectangle shape etched die. Adhere the rectangle die cut to the card using the E-Z Runner®Grand Refillable Dispenser.

I have lots of non-adhesive rhinestones and pearls laying around waiting to be used. Simply secure them using Adhesive Dots Micro!  Pick up a stone with tweezers and then adhere (the back of the stone) to an Adhesive Dot.  Tip: tweezers are also great for precise placement of the stones.

For the bow I used Adhesive Dots Medium, this prevents shiny glue stains through the ribbon!

Glitter Cupcake Birthday Card

Welcome back crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a sweet and simple birthday card to share that packs a punch. This card started with the super cute 3D Foam Cupcakes. They were ALL the inspiration I needed, so many possibilities. Here are all of the details:

Glitter Cupcake Birthday Card by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Making a Sweet Card

To start I adhered the 3D Foam Cupcake, and all of it’s inner bits to the piece of white cardstock I was using on my card. It’s easiest to cut the card layers before doing anything else.

The first glitter I added was the highlight in the frosting of the cupcake. Simply peel just that section away, then add the plain white glitter.

Next I used a craft knife to cut the edge of the frosting, and removed the remainder of the frosting section and added the taupe glitter.

After the frosting, then I removed the inner cupcake wrapper sections. I used a darker teal glitter for this, and then after removing the remaining protective covering, add the light teal glitter.

Add pink/red glitter to the cherry separately and adhere to the card with the help of 3D Foam Squares White Mix in small (1/4″).

Add the white cardstock with the cupcake to the next layer using 3D Foam Squares. I added Creative Photo Corners White and ribbon to the yellow patterned layer of my card and adhered it to the base using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser.

Finally I added the matted cupcake to the card using Crafty Foam Tape.

Flamazing Birthday Box Card

Hello Crafters! For today’s project, I will share how to make a really cute dimensional box card! The die set that I am using comes with all the elements to construct this card plus a fun flamingo die set to embellish 🙂

Flamazing Birthday Box Card by Valerie Ward for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Step 1 – Box Side Panels

Die-cut two of the main pieces (side panels).  With one of the die cuts, die-cut a rectangle from the set to create your window (this will be the front of your card). You will also die-cut the two smaller side panels with plaid patterned papers.

Using the E-Z Runner adhesive, adhere the smaller side panels onto the larger pieces as shown in the image. Afterward, make crisp creases using the bone folders to all the scored lines.

Step 2 – Assembly

Now we’re going to assemble the box using the Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Apply a thin line of clear glue onto the side flaps. I love that there are two tip options with this Dual Tip Glue Pen. The other tip is a 1/2 inch wide brush for larger applications.

Next, fold up the panels and attach the flaps by folding the ends together to create one box shape.

Step 3 – Making Inside Back Panel

Trim approximately 3.25 x 2.75″ piece of paper (same size as the inside back panel of the card) and create a scene of your choice (mine was the ocean). I had a palm tree die cut made from that fun flamingo die set and adhered it with the Dual Tip Glue Pen onto the scene. Finally, glue the scene onto the inside back panel.

Step 4 – Layered Grass Hills inside the Box

Let’s bring this card to life! Die-cut both the hill shape dies provided in the card die set with white cardstock and color them with markers.

Taking a bone folder, fold the end flaps toward the back and away from you.

Apply E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine to the flaps and attach them to the inside to build your scene.

Step 5 – Dimensional Flamingos

What a fun addition of flamingos to the card! I gave their wings dimension using 3D Foam Squares Small White. Perfect!

Step 6 – Elements on the Outside

With my Adhesive Dots Micro, I attached the flowers to the side panels. Adding a little spring to my card 🙂

On the back side of the card, I decided to create a spring scene by stamping a sentiment and attaching elements with my Adhesive Dots Micro.

The Completed Card

Love that the card folds up completely flat so it can be out into a standard A2 sized envelope!

Here is the front view:

The view from the top:

As you move the card around, it’s fun to see the different elements inside!

Then an element of surprise as you discover the sentiment and another scene on the back!

These are the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® products I used for this project. Note that I have the Thin 3D Foam Squares pictured. If you wanted less bulk, these would be a perfect solution! They are half the thickness than our 3D Foam Squares!

Hedgehog Card using Creative Photo Corners

Who needs a card to cheer up anyone who is having one of those days?  Hi everyone, Christine here to show you how you can turn Creative Photo Corners Kraft into hedgehog spines!  I’ll guarantee it’s fun so you might want to get kids involved too!

Hedgehog Card using Creative Photo Corners by Christine Emberson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Making my Prickly Hedgehog Card

On my ivory card base, I die-cut a patterned paper mat in and affixed with the E-Z Runner Grand® Refillable Dispenser. This is a large dispenser but lightweight and has 150 feet of double-sided adhesive.

Hedgehog Card using Creative Photo Corners by Christine Emberson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

To create the exact sentiment I chose to type and print straight onto ivory card.  Then I die cut a square, affixed this to my card front with Crafty Foam Tape White to add that effective dimension.

Hedgehog Card using Creative Photo Corners by Christine Emberson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I selected Creative Photo Corners Kraft and colored them with Distress Ink.

Hedgehog Card using Creative Photo Corners by Christine Emberson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Tip: as you color each one re-stick them back onto the convenient backing sheet, this way they don’t stick together before you start applying them as hedgehog spines.

Hedgehog Card using Creative Photo Corners by Christine Emberson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I had a die cut of a hedgehog but you could also draw one and cut from kraft card.  Position the Creative Photo Corners angling them to represent the spines. Because they have adhesive on the reverse no messy glue is needed. Trim where necessary.

Once you have all the Creative Photo Corner spines in place, affix the hedgehog to your card front using 3D Foam Squares White Regular size. For a finishing touch add a few colored die cut flowers and leaves.  Place pearls to the middle. Cute!
