Creating Texture with 3D Foam Squares

Good morning! Michele here with a fun way to add texture to your die cuts by using Thin 3D Foam Squares! I love using a product in a different way than it was intended! I feel like I get more bang for my buck that way! 😉

I die cut a heart out of pale pink card stock and used the Thin 3D Foam Squares to outline the perimeter working my way to the center.  I peeled off the tops and sprinkled with glitter.  I wanted to layer a couple more hearts on top, so I grabbed a package of 3D Foam Hearts.  I chose a large heart and small heart.  I peeled off one side and sprinkled hot pink glitter on the larger one and red on the smaller one.

valentine1

I adhered the two hearts to the large heart using my Dual Tip Glue Pen.  I die cut a pretty square to place behind my hearts.  I added two strips of Gemstone strips behind it and layered everything using Crafty Foam Tape.

valentine2

I added some posies, leaves, sticker sentiment and some pink Twine using Dodz Adhesive Dots Small.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Clean and Simple Scrapbook Page with E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser

Hi there, it’s Stephanie here! Today I want to show you a scrapbook layout using E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. This is a layout about my appearance on TV Channel HSE24 Germany last year. I presented Sizzix products and showcased all my projects that I created for this presentation.

stephanie_layout_1

I used many products from . With all the handling of creating, packing, unpacking, setting up and photo shooting…you know you need very good and strong adhesives to get through everything. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® is all I need and totally met my satisfaction!

I also included 3D Foam Products, Tapes and Dispensers, and specialty adhesives you can all find at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. It was a very exciting, but also an exhausting adventure to present live on air, I don’t want to miss in my life. 😉

Easy Planning with Self-Laminating Pouches and Tissue Tape

Hi everyone, Christine here today.  One of my 2017 resolutions is planning. I want to keep a planner using the Self-Laminating Pouches as part of my “plan.” The planner market in the US is huge but it has taken a while for it to hit our shores in the UK. Mine will be a special place to store keepsakes, quotes and photos (a portable scrapbook!), so it had me thinking – the Self-Laminating Pouches, so ideal!

cemberson-planner-1

Planning my Planner

I selected a photo that goes well with my quote. I placed the quote to the back of photo using E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable.  NOTE: Dispenser is refillable to match ANY of the other E-Z Runner® adhesive refills  – they are all interchangeable. LOVE!

cemberson-planner-2

Then I inserted the photo into a Self- Laminating Pouch Medium.  Full instructions are on each pouch (SO quick and easy to use). But here’s video on how to use them…

Next I aligned my photo to the right so it leaves the perfect amount of space to hole punch to fit into my planner.

cemberson-planner-3

I then realised the Self-Laminating Pouch Wallet size would work too, so I resized my quote to print and popped that inside a pouch. Then I placed into my planner with E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable.

cemberson-planner-4

Another way to decorate a planner is to use washi tape for a beautiful accent.

cemberson-planner-5

I can see that I’m going to be using a lot of Self-Laminating Pouches and washi tape in my planner.  Thank you for joining me today and please remember to check out the brilliant products listed below with their links.Christine

Christmas photo card altered book

Hello everyone! It’s January, and time for a new project, don’t you think?  Well, I’ve got the perfect idea for you for all those Christmas photo cards you revived!  I know they are fun to keep on your refrigerator for a while, but what about after that?

A few years ago I started creating these altered books to put those photos in so I could set them out in the living room to share for the entire year. It’s really quit fun and easy to do. Let me tell you how I put mine together.

This book was originally a journal, but any hard cover book will work great.  You will just want to make sure it’s large enough for the cards you plan to put in it.   For this book, I removed all the pages, and used my cropodile to add holes to the front and back for the rings.   I cut pages to size and began adding photos and creating my pages.  I punched holes and added them as I went.  (I’ll share some of the pages with you below, but first let me tell you about how I created the cover).

I added my adhesive sheet to the back of the paper that  I planned to die cut and add directly to the books cover.  Adhesive sheets and dies are just a dream team!  Once it’s cut all I have to do it peel off the back and add it to my book cover.  The insures adhesive covers  the entire surface of the cut die, right to the very edge. ( it works great for the detailed cut and scalloped edges).

Before adding my next (smaller) die cut circle, I added Crafty Foam Tape to the back to make it stand up of the surface of the book and give dimension. The photo in step #4 shows you how much interest just adding that bit of dimension gives the title.

Here is a peek at some of the pages I created with my photo  cards.  I have done other photo books in previous years, in keeping with a Christmas theme, but this year, I  used lots of COLOR!

These pages are fun to put together with bits of patterned papers and ephemera. I used my EZ Runner Grand for my general assembly of my pages. I used Dotz Adhesive Medium for the paper embellishments.

For those cards that have photos and writing inside that I wanted to keep visible, I just adhered the back of the cards down. I love the idea of the book being kind of interactive.

The Holidays are over, so hopefully you can find time to get back into your craft  room to do a little creating. Putting together a book like this would be a great way to get your crafty grove on to jump start 2018.

Here is also I link to another, more altered mixed media Christmas photo book I’ve created in the past.

Thanks for stopping by, Vicki

How to Embellish a Valentine Twist Pop-Up Card

I found a fun card to share using E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser and Thin 3D Foam Squares Mix Black to make a Valentine Twist Pop-Up Card. If you search “Twist Pop-Up Card Tutorial” on the internet, there will be a few to choose from.

Valentine Twist Pop-Up Card by Margie Higuchi for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Using the instructions, I assembled the mechanics and card base with E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser. It is a strong, permanent, clear double-sided adhesive that can handle paper construction like this.

margiehiguchi-500-valentinestwistpopupcd-011717-step1

For the pop-up (in brown): I cut 2.5 x 3.5 inch red paper to mat each panel. One was layered with stickers and inked edges with Fired Brick ink (all the red papers were inked the same). The second, I added stickers on a 2.25 x 3.25 inch piece of patterned paper.

margiehiguchi-500-valentinestwistpopupcd-011717-step2

I added a sticker and Key shape.

The last panel, I die-cut a heart into the red paper and add a sticker sentiment in the lower right corner. Fill small flower sequins into the Keepsake Envelopes Mix Small and close the flap. The tiny sequins will fall out so apply E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser around the edges of the envelope and (back of) heart window to seal. Place it over the heart window from the back side. Add Thin 3D Foam Squares Mix Black and center onto the last brown panel.

margiehiguchi-500-valentinestwistpopupcd-011717-step4

Add the rest of the red panels on the brown pop-up panel using E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser. Then place onto the twist mechanics of the card base.

margiehiguchi-500-valentinestwistpopupcd-011717-step5

Repeat the same shaker instructions for the card front with Keepsake Envelopes Mix Medium and a large heart die. Add Creative Photo Corners Gold on each corner of Card Panel.

Oh, later I decided to add red glitter to 3D Foam Hearts in the center for some sparkle on each heart shaker! Also known as “Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside.” See how it is applied by watching our video below…

Here’s another look…from the front and the inside.

Creating a Hugs and Kisses Treat Container with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Hi!  AJ here today sharing a adorable little treat container for the upcoming Valentine holiday.  I have a thing for making adorable little packaging you can fill with treats for the recipient!

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-1

Who wouldn’t love a fun little fry shaped box filled with their favorite treats?  My daughter happens to love these little Oreo things, and I refuse to keep them in the house regularly making them the perfect treat filler.

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-2

To start, I like to dress up the actual box a bit before assembling.  It’s a bit easier to do prior to being adhered, but can also be done after the fact.  Place your pink card stock onto the Adhesive Sheet.  This is the 6 x 12 size, which fits perfectly into my die cutting machine.  Place your die onto the Adhesive Sheet, and run through the machine.

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-3

The end result, a thin intricately cut design ready to adhere!  *Save the little chevrons for use on a coordinating card or tag.  Adhere the die cut to the box, flip over and burnish in a bit.  I then trimmed the ends off each side.

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-4

We can now start to assemble our box.  To do so, I use the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable.  Not only is it thin little strips like our traditional E-Z Runner® Strips, it’s clear with a super strong hold!

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-5

To add a few little details to my box, I start with a smaller heart from the 3D Foam Hearts pack.  Place on another empty backing sheet, remove the backing, and cover with glitter.  I use a separate backing sheet for this part to try and minimize the glitter mess left behind.

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-6

I am also adding a few sequins, and the Dodz™ Adhesive Dots are my go to for this.  The mini size is perfect for the smaller sized sequins.  You can place your sequins on the Dodz, and try out placement on your project before securing.

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-7

Lastly- it’s not as visible in this picture, but I didn’t like how the seams of the box looked from the inside, so I cut another piece using the pink card stock, and will secure inside the box.  Not only does it provide a cute contrast to the overall project, it covers the seams beautifully.  The little strips in the E-Z Runner™ Grand make that curve easy to follow.

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-8

I love how this turned out- and that cute glitter covered clothespin! Watch for that next post!

AJOtto-HugsnKissesBox-9enjoy!

AJ

Quick Birthday Card Trio with 3D Foam Squares

Hello, it’s Amy here with a birthday card that turned into a trio of cards 🙂 Of course, using 3D Foam Squares to bring them up a notch and dimension!

amy-tsuruta_turtley1

Check out today’s project supplies including E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser and 3D Foam Squares.

amy-tsuruta_turtley2

I picked up a set of 10 cards and envelopes at a shop for $1 – great deal, right?! Well, when I opened up the packaging I realized that the ‘cards’ were kraft card panels.  Honestly, that’s still a good deal for 10 envelopes! So I went ahead and adhered the panels to white card blanks…issue resolved!

amy-tsuruta_turtley3

The panels would be a good idea to whip up some quick note cards, but I really wanted traditional cards for this project. Next up is coloring the images:

amy-tsuruta_turtley4

I don’t know about you, but when I make more than 1 card, I start from the bottom and work my way up to the top. I finished my cards off with the coordinating sentiments:

amy-tsuruta_turtley7

I kept the kraft panel plain so that the main image and the sentiments would be the stars of the card.  These would be perfect for kids or adults.

Thanks so much for stoppin’ by!

Simplicity with Adhesive Dots Mini and Crafty Foam Tape

Hello Crafty friends! Michele here to share a fairly simple card. With a little bit of color, sparkle secured with Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini and dimension with Crafty Foam Tape, I focus on the image and nothing more. I am usually the gal who spends literal hours on a card with tons of details…..but occasionally I like to simply things a bit.

I adhered the white panel to black card stock using Crafty Foam Tape (another favorite that I use on EVERY card I make!).
