Floral Foil Shaker Card

Hi, Jamie here today! I have a Floral Foil Shaker Card featuring a combination of the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors and Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors that Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® has to offer. You’ll really want to try this Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside technique.

Floral Foil Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with the Background Panel

Make the background with a combination of Premium Double-Sided Tape 1in, Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/2in, Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/4in, and Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/8in is placed diagonally across a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock panel.

For a marbled look, crumble up a piece of pink foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors and flatten it to place on one of the tapes (remove the tape liner and place the foil color facing you).  Rub to transfer the color to the tape and peel off the foil. Next, place a solid color black foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors over the partially foiled tape and rub (again, color side facing you). Remove the foil and this will create a veined look. Repeat the steps until all the tapes are foiled.

Floral Foil Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Die-cut the panel using a scalloped rectangle-shaped cutting die. Now to add the interactive feature.

Floral Foil Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Making The Shaker

Shaker cards are made easily with the 3D Foam Circle Frames White. All you do is pick the size of the circle that you need and place it on your panel. Die-cut a circle that fits inside of the foam circle, stamp a sentiment with black ink, and emboss it with clear embossing powder. Add a couple of self-adhesive pearls. Adhere the circle to the inside of the foam circle with the Dual Tip Glue Pen which gives me the chance to center the circle where I want it.

Floral Foil Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

The Shaker Bits

Next, place the shaker bits in the center of the foam circle. Designer’s Note: when removing the liner from the 3D Foam Circle Frames White, hold your card with one hand and remove the liner slowly so the little bits don’t jump up on the adhesive.

Floral Foil Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

The Floral Accents

Flowers were die-cut twice from white cardstock and once from black cardstock. Sponge pink ink on one of the white cardstock pieces and trim the flowers. On the other white piece, sponge the stems in green ink before adhering the pink flowers with the Dual Tip Glue Pen.  Layer the black piece behind the inked flowers to create a shadow.

Floral Foil Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Final Touches

From white cardstock, die-cut a scallop circle shape with the center die-cut with a circle die. Place the acetate behind the scallop shape using the Dual Tip Glue Pen.  Add the flowers to the left side of the shaker with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Finally, mount the shaker panel to a green card using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Hi, Judy here today! Here’s a fun Foiled 3D Squares Hello Card that’s super easy to make. It features 3D Foam Squares and Metallic Transfer Foil Pastels. Change out the foil colors to Nature or Holographic for a totally different look! Simply change the verse to use it for different occasions.

Foiled 3D Squares Hello Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

3D Foam Square Foiled Panel

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 2.875 x 4.125 inches. Then cut a black cardstock mat into 3 x 4.25 inches. Set aside the black mat.

Foiled 3D Squares Hello Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Use a ruler as a guide along one long edge to place the squares. To make it easier to keep the ruler in place apply a small amount of removable adhesive to the ruler with E-Z Dots® Repositionable Dispenser.

Put the ruler about .75 inches from one long edge and add four 3D Foam Squares White Regular along the ruler from top to bottom. Continue to randomly add 3D Foam Squares White Regular within about .5 inches of each side, top and bottom. Remove the ruler and rub off the adhesive dots from the ruler and any excess on the white panel. Place one 3D Foam Squares White Regular to the left of the first four squares.

Foiled 3D Squares Hello Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Place Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix between and around larger squares keeping them about .25 inches from the side edges.

Apply Foil

Peel the liner from one 3D Foam Squares White Regular, place the foil sheet over it (color side facing you), rub to transfer the foil, and peel away. Repeat on 2 to 3 large foam squares with the same color. Choose another sheet of foil and repeat. Continue until all large squares are foiled.

Foiled 3D Squares Hello Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Now, peel the liner from the smaller Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix, place foil over it, rub with the color side facing you, and peel away the foil. Repeat with all colors until all squares are foiled.

Assemble Card

Lots of Layers Scrapbook Layout

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a layout to share packed with lots of layers. Here are all of the dimensional details.

Lots of Layers Scrapbook Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Let’s Get Started

The very first steps on creating this lots of layers layout is to trace the circular outline for the wreath onto the background patterned paper. This is when I also splattered the misters around that circle. Set aside to let dry.

Lots of Layers Scrapbook Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Die cut the photo frame from white cardstock. Adhere the 4×6 photo to the die cut from using Creative Photo Corners White. I like lots of dimension around my focal photo. So I adhered the matted photo to the background using 2 layers of Crafty Foam Tape White. This leaves lots of room around the photo for different levels of dimension.

Lots of Layers Scrapbook Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Begin adhering the fussy cut flower clusters in the bottom left hand corner, and top right hand corner of the wreath using a combination of 3D Foam Squares White Mix and Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix. The punched out hexagons get adhered around the wreath using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix with gold pearls in between them. This completes the lots of layers wreath.

Lots of Layers Scrapbook Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Attach the chipboard title to the layout using the Dual Top Glue Pen, just to the right of the matted photo. I added the ribbon flowers and cheesecloth using Adhesive Dots Large.

Angle Tri-Fold Card

Hello there, Martha Lucia here today! Today, I want to share an Angle Tri-Fold Card. A different folding way that I am sure will impress your friends!

Angle Tri-Fold Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Card Template

To make this fabulous angle fold you will need a piece of cardstock of 11″ x 5-1/2″. First, make the score at 3-3/8″ on each side. Then, mark a point on 1-3/4″ from the top. Now, make a mark on the 1″ on the bottom part.

I found several hand-drawn diagrams online. So I created a digital diagram to show where to cut and score. Hope it will be helpful to you as a reference. The dotted lines are for scoring/folding, and the continuous lines are for cutting.

Angle Tri-Fold Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Card Template

To decorate the front panels of the Angle Tri-Fold card, just cut a piece of 3-1/8″ x 5-1/4″ of patterned paper and mark the same points from the folding pieces. These are 1-3/4″ from the top and 1″ on the bottom. In my card, I used double-sided paper and alternated the designs to create a contrast. I adhered the two layers directly over the card base using E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser.

Angle Tri-Fold Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Belly Band and Decoration

To make the belly band, you will need a piece of card stock of 1″x11″. Remember to decorate your card inside if you want to include a different color of cardstock or designer paper. Then, wrap the belly band around the card and paste the ends with a strong adhesive. I used the same E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser one of my favorites for paper goods!

Then you can add a stamped image or a sticker or ephemera over the belly band. I used one ephemera piece that I added with one circle from the 3D Foam Circles Black Mix.

Angle Tri-Fold Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

As a final touch, I added a sticker sentiment and some small circles from 3D Foam Circles Black Mix, over the belly band. Then, I applied two colors of foil onto them to coordinate with the patterned paper. I used a small piece of red foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil from the Variety Colors

Intricate Bohemian Card

Hi everyone, Yvonne here with an Intricate Bohemian-styled card.  For this card, I used a thin metal cutting die with an intricate pattern which makes this card very easy to create. It can be a suitable way for beginner card makers. Isn’t it stunning? I would love to share how I made my Bohemian card, let me show you.

Intricate Bohemian Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Creating the Top Card Panel

Start by die-cutting the intricate pattern from soft grey cardstock. Designer’s Tip: run the die-template several times through your die-cutting machine to make sure that the Bohemian pattern is perfectly cut. Then carefully remove the cardstock from the craft die. Next, use a paper trimmer to cut the paper to the desired size. Now apply 3D Foam Strips around the edges of the die-cut panel. Adhere 3D Foam Squares Micro White to the intricate parts of the die-cut panel.

Intricate Bohemian Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Next carefully remove the liner from the 3D Foam Strips and 3D Foam Squares Micro White and adhere the die-cut onto a bright pink card panel. Designer’s Tip: tweezers are a great tool for precise positioning of the 3D Foam Squares Micro White. Using 3D foam products adds a beautiful lifting effect to your Bohemian card.

Making the Card Base

First, adhere the bright pink card panel onto a soft pink card panel using the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser for affixing.

Intricate Bohemian Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Then adhere to a white card base, again using the E-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser for affixing.

Embellishing the Card

Now it’s time to embellish the Bohemian card. First, adhere a soft pink gerbera to the card. For adhering the flower I used Adhesive Dots Large.

Intricate Bohemian Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

For a finishing touch adhere a few rhinestones to the card. And voilá, your Bohemian card is ready to make someone feel very special to you. I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial and wish you happy crafting

Special Day Shaker Card

Hi, Jamie here today! I am excited to share a shaker card made from a pretty paper pad. It’s easy to assemble using the right adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Special Day Shaker Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Preparing the Card Base and Background

To start I splattered white ink on a dusty pink panel and mounted it to an off-white card using E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser. Note: I have my E-Z Dots® Permanent Refill in my red E-Z Runner® Refillable Dispenser. I love that I don’t have to order a whole new dispenser but just the refill. 🙂

Two coordinating papers from the pad were die-cut using a Nested Deckle Rectangle Die, both sheets are the same size. Layer them slightly askew and secure with the E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser.

Die-cutting the Tag and Window

Die-cut the floral paper using the Holiday Tags Die. Then cut with a smaller tag die from the set centered on the tag. I didn’t want the top part of the tag die-cut, so I placed the embossing plate at the bottom scallop of the die and ran it through my embossing machine. This will make only the bottom portion of the tag cut (see bottom right image). Place a ruler across the tag and use a craft knife to cut it off. Don’t forget to cut on a self-healing mat.

Preparing the Shaker Window

The decorative paper isn’t thick so I resolve that by die-cutting the tag with the cutout from white cardstock to make it sturdy when it pops up. Adhere the two pieces using the E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser. Die-cut the acetate using the larger die and attach it to the back of the tag using the E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser.

The Final Touches

Adhere the die-cut paper panels using the E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser. Place shaker bits in the center of the panel. Add the tag on top.

Adhere 3D Foam Circles White Mix on the back of the sentiment and pop it up in the center of the acetate. Cut the butterflies from one of the papers, slightly bend the wings, and glue them to the card with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Lastly, pale pink enamel dots were placed on the card.
