Stitched Cards | Foam Tape and 3D Foam Squares

Hi everyone, Jana here with a new fun project for you. I love to sew on my projects so my idea today is to create some crazy and colorful stitched cards in a color gradient from light to dark. My main adhesive is Crafty Foam Tape with some 3D Foam Squares, Dual Tip Glue Pen and E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Value Pack

Stitched Cards | Foam Tape & 3D Foam Squares by Jana Maiwald-McCarthy

Stitched Card instructions

For this I started with two 3,5″ x 5,5″ white cardstock pieces with A LOT of machine stitching on them. I really love how that turned out.

Use washi tape to secure the end of threads and then add Crafty Foam Tape White for dimension.  Adhere the stitched card panel to the card base.

Don’t you just love how much height it gives to my cards! It looks great especially when the card panel and card base are white on white.

The blue stitched card is for one of my crafty friends. It’s an invitation for a crafty day at my house, which should be a FUN time!

Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ is perfect for securing little elements. It will definitely stay in place!

The Dual Tip Glue Pen will hold those letters stickers because I wasn’t sure about the stitched surface. Better be safe than sorry, right?

My second card (red stitched card) is for a good friend who is moving into a new house and everything is changing for her so I wanted to let her know that all will be OK!

To secure and to give dimension to the leaves, I added E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Value Pack and 3D Foam Squares.

Add tiny word stickers, labels, puffy stickers and a heart…it’s done!

Creating these cards was really fun, and I can’t wait to give them to my friends! Have you tried stitching on your projects?! It’s something fun and different, give it a try if you haven´t yet!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Creating Sweet Baby Shower Party Favor Bags

Hello everyone! Marilyn here with you today sharing these sweet party favor bags that you can give out at a baby shower (as shown for this post) or just bring them for a special friend or relative.

Sweet Baby Shower Party Favor Bags by Marilyn Rivera for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Instructions:

I made two favor bags from one 12 x 12″ cardstock sheet and adhered with the Premium Doubled-Sided Tape 1/4″. Start by cutting one sheet of cardstock in half. I made these for a girl but you can change the color for a boy.

With the long side of the paper, I scored at 1/2″, 1 1/2″, 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″.

Then turned the paper so that the short side is up and score at 1″.

Return your paper on its long side and cut a tab at the 1/2″ score line up to the 1″ score line (cutting off a small rectangle shape). Then cut slits at the 1 1/2″, 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″ (up to the 1″ score line). Then apply the Premium Doubled-Sided Tape 1/4″ as pictured above to assemble your bag.

Now for the fun part, embellishing! I embossed a piece of white cardstock with a floral design that goes perfect for a girl’s theme and added Pearlescent to each embossed flower’s center. Set aside to dry.

With the Dual Tip Glue Pen, I adhered a punched border and the embossed cardstock to the front of the bag. Then add sweet baby clothes using 3D Foam Squares White Mix for dimension. Finally, punch two holes towards the top of bag to threaded a ribbon to tie a bow and it’s ready to give!

Speedy Quilt Card Tutorial using Adhesive Sheets

Hi everyone, Christine here today with a tutorial on how to make a speedy quilt effect card using Adhesive Sheet 4 x 6″.  I like this design for more masculine cards.

Quilt design card tutorial by Christine Emberson

Quilt Tutorial

My card base has two mats affixed with the  E-Z Runner Grand® Refillable Dispenser.

Take off top liner sheet of a 4×6″ Adhesive Sheet and apply cardstock on to it. Die-cut the diamond shape etched die.

Each shape now has a perfect layer of permanent adhesive  with edge-to-edge coverage.

Adhesive Sheets provide an easy and speedy way to affix on my card front…no messy liquid glue involved!

Once my design is completed, die-cut it to a square shape and affix to my card front with Crafty Foam Tape White.

For the sentiment, attach with 3D Foam Squares White Small for a bit of dimension, and add black pearls.

Ready for Fall Layout using 3D Foam Trees

When going through my stash of adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L I try to think of other ways to use them on a project. Today I can across 3D Foam Trees – “those could totally be leaves!” The weather has been a bit cooler here in the Chicago area and it’s feeling like Fall I figured let’s put together a fun Fall layout with my “leaves.”

Grabbed a few supplies to start with here…

Peel those 3D Foam Trees off the liner and place them on the pieces of patterned paper. I then trimmed those out. You can see that a few I didn’t trim out completely, just to mix the style of leaf I was creating. Add some ink to the edges and you’re ready to move on.

The background on this Fall layout is kept simple with white cardstock layered onto some kraft. In keeping with the warm colors from our family photos being used on this page, I pulled out gold, orange, green and brown tones of patterned paper. Each piece was cut into 2″x 2″ squares.

Place the squares on the page and on a few used my favorite adhesive 3D Foam Squares  White Regular Size as seen pictured above. I also raised one of the photos with the same adhesive. Other squares and photos were placed on the page using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

To finish the page off, I added some smaller wooden leaves I had on hand, a few sweet little foxes and some machine stitching around. The large letter stickers were perfect to create the FALL title as well. Here are a few details of the page close up. To adhere the wooden leaves and the acrylic title I used the HomeHobby Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Hi everyone, Jana here! I’m featuring “Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside” with 3D Foam Squares and glitter, I created a new layout! My little one is a silly monkey and he always love to make silly faces when I want to get some new pictures. These photos are from a few years ago, and oh boy… I LOVE them!

Silly Faces scrapbook page by Jana Maiwald-McCarthy

With such nice details, I love the feel and the look of the glittered 3D Foam Squares! Well, who doesn’t love glitter?! LOL! Let’s break down my steps…

How to add glitter to 3D Foam Squares

Instructions for Glitter:

  1. Peel off the top liner from the 3D Foam Squares White Regular Size.
  2. Pour glitter over the adhesive and press it down with your finger.
  3. Shake off excess glitter.
  4. Place your glittered 3D Foam Squares onto your project!

Look at those expressions! HA! In addition, I used my favorite Crafty Foam Tape White for more dimension! With some 3D Foam Squares White Small here and there as well as some E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser, I secured the papers and photos.

I really had fun creating this page and just LOVE how it turned out!

Scrapbook Layout saved by 3D Foam Products

Have you ever found yourself just stuck when you are embellishing? I needed something more…and then I realized, how about a little bit of glitter? A few weeks ago I shared an idea for using Adhesive Dots as Embellishments on your scrapbook layout. Today I am going to build on that idea but show how I used the 3D Foam Garden Shapes.

Using 3D Foam Garden shapes from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to Embellish a Scrapbook Layout

Putting together a scrapbook layout can require A LOT of different adhesives – here’s just a few of them that I used to create this summer scrapbook layout – you can find the complete list at the bottom of the post.

Using 3D Foam Products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L as an embellishment on a scrapbook layout

The real star of the show was the 3D Foam Garden Shapes.  When I realized I had these on hand, I knew the layout was going to come together after all. These saved me the time of fussy cutting or trying to figure out where to get some more flowers for this layout.

Using 3D Foam Adhesive Products from Scrapbok Adhesives by 3L to Embellish a Scrapbook Layout

All they need is a sprinkling of glitter (or another topping) and they are ready to roll.  You can see more of how I applied the glitter in my Hold on to Sunny Summer Scrapbook Page video below.

Using 3D Foam Adhesive Products from Scrapbok Adhesives by 3L to Embellish a Scrapbook Layout

Another area that I point out in the video is sometimes you think an embellishment should be flat, but you realize after application that it doesn’t look great that way. Here’s where having 3D Foam Squares on hand is so important.  Simply pulling this flower back up (gently) and adding 3D Foam Squares to the back side made it look so much better. So the next time you are looking at a layout and just feeling stuck….pull out those 3D Foam Products and see if they can’t solve the problem.

Happily Ever After Wedding Card

Don’t you love weddings – gathering with friends and family for the happy occasion is so fun! Hello friends! Thank you for stopping by. Today I’m sharing a card I created for an upcoming event.

Happily Ever After Wedding Card by Vicki Chrisman for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Wedding Card Details

I added these gorgeous gold photo corners from the Creative Photo Corners Mix Pack, and then a few gold accents on my card as well as some gold Stickles.

The 3D Foam Squares White Regular  add some dimension to the layers on the card.  It’s always amazing how details like using 3D Foam Squares for dimension and photo corners make the card just that much more special. Attention to those little details really makes a difference!

I used the Dual Tip Glue Pen to add the embellishment pieces and the delicate lace along the bottom. The two pen tip sizes give me the option of using the glue with a fine tip or with a wider tip if I need additional coverage.

I hope the special couple enjoys their handmade card.

Easy Shaped Card using Extreme Double-Sided Tape

Hello friends, Latisha here with you. Today I am sharing a super easy shaped card using Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/2″ for a strong hold. Shaped cards are much easier to create than you think…let me show you how.

Start out with two die cuts or shapes that are exactly the same. Then score the die cut that will be the back piece, and adhere adhesive above the score line. I like to use the Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/2″.

Adhere the die cuts together using a scoring board for perfect alignment.

Then place the second layer of die cut using 3D Foam Squares White Regular for dimension and interest.

Finish the card by adhering a twine bow using Dodz Adhesive Dots Small to make sure it’s secured.

Hello Card with Crafty Foam Tape and a Rose!

Hi there! Michele here with a Hello Rose card tutorial using Crafty Foam Tape, a single large stamp, and texture paste. Crafty Foam Tape is one of my favorite adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®!

Hello Card with Rose by Michele Kovack for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Hello Rose Card Tutorial

First, I stamped the large rose and colored it with colored pencils. Then I die-cut the rose and leaves and set them aside.

The background was made with a stencil and texture paste on kraft paper.

Once it was dry, I layered it over a piece of black card stock using Crafty Foam Tape.  I then adhered it to the card using E-Z Squares®.  Use more Crafty Foam Tape to secure the flower on top of the stenciled background. This adds dimension to the flower.

I die cut the word “hello” and adhered it and the sequins using Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini.
