Quick Birthday Card Trio with 3D Foam Squares

Hello, it’s Amy here with a birthday card that turned into a trio of cards 🙂 Of course, using 3D Foam Squares to bring them up a notch and dimension!

Check out today’s project supplies including E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser and 3D Foam Squares.

I picked up a set of 10 cards and envelopes at a shop for $1 – great deal, right?! Well, when I opened up the packaging I realized that the ‘cards’ were kraft card panels.  Honestly, that’s still a good deal for 10 envelopes! So I went ahead and adhered the panels to white card blanks…issue resolved!

amy-tsuruta_turtley3

The panels would be a good idea to whip up some quick note cards, but I really wanted traditional cards for this project. Next up is coloring the images:

amy-tsuruta_turtley4

I don’t know about you, but when I make more than 1 card, I start from the bottom and work my way up to the top. I finished my cards off with the coordinating sentiments:

amy-tsuruta_turtley7

I kept the kraft panel plain so that the main image and the sentiments would be the stars of the card.  These would be perfect for kids or adults.

Simplicity with Adhesive Dots Mini and Crafty Foam Tape

Hello Crafty friends! Michele here to share a fairly simple card. With a little bit of color, sparkle secured with Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini and dimension with Crafty Foam Tape, I focus on the image and nothing more. I am usually the gal who spends literal hours on a card with tons of details…..but occasionally I like to simply things a bit.

I adhered the white panel to black card stock using Crafty Foam Tape (another favorite that I use on EVERY card I make!).

How to Create a Masculine Art Tag

Hi there, it’s Stephanie here to wish you all a Happy New Year – may all your dreams come true! I want to show you a masculine art tag I created, using  Art Medium, E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser and Dodz Adhesive Dots 3D.

stephanie_tag_1

Here is how I made it.

stephanie_tag_2

1. Prepare the background with collage by using Art Medium with old book paper and tissue paper. Create texture with white Gesso and black paint. Adhered die cuts with E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser.

2. Next distress the edges of the tag with black Distress Ink. Add rub-ons for interest.

3. For embellishments, choose metal gears, a gear cut out and tassels. Adhere the gears to each other with DODZ Adhesive Dots 3D.

4. Adhere the embellishments to the tag with DODZ Adhesive Dots 3D.

A Wintery Birthday Card with 3D Foam Frames

Hello everyone! Today, I have a Wintery Birthday Card that I framed with our 3D Foam Frames. Its very cold where I live!  The snowy landscape inspired me to make a card befitting for a winter birthday in Minnesota!

judy_hayes-awinterybirthdaycard1a

The stamped wintery scene is accented with white paint and glitter applied to dimensional Tsukineko Neon Amplify White. One 3D Foam Frames surrounds the scene and is covered with glitter. So easy to do!  Just sprinkle glitter over the adhesive!

The pine boughs were cut from brown and green papers which were covered with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6ʺ. Once die cut, glitter was sprinkled over the adhesive.  The paper color shows through with glittery sparkle.  The white “snow” accents are made with Tsukineko Neon Amplify White sprinkled with glitter while wet.

An Adhesive Dots 3D  holds the branches in place under the tag.  A few  Adhesive Dots Small tucked under some branches hold them in place. The stamped tag is also held in place with Adhesive Dots Small. The card layers were assembled with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser.

Warm Winter wishes to you!

Forever Yours Valentine with Keepsake Envelopes Mix

Hi! It’s Erica and today I’m sharing a valentine I created using the Keepsake Envelopes Mix.

Forever Yours Valentine by Erica Houghton for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I started by tracing around a tag and then cut out the cardstock tag (I like to save my tags and use them as templates).

Forever Yours Valentine by Erica Houghton for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Next, I adhered the cardstock tag to a piece of pattern paper using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips and cut around the tag.

Forever Yours Valentine by Erica Houghton for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I then used a piece of Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/2″ to adhere the sentiment to my tag.

I added flowers and a twine bow to my tag. I then removed the backing from the Keepsake Envelopes Mix and placed it on a piece of pattern paper. This allowed the pattern paper to show through. I wrote my valentine a note and placed it inside the envelope. Finally, I paper clipped the tag to my envelope.

Snowy Kisses Gift Bag Tutorial with E-Z Runner Permanent Fine

Today I wanted to create a “sweet” gift bag of kisses leftover from the holidays, using Bo Bunny’s Winter Wishes Collection with our E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesives Dispenser for my vellum accent pieces. I’m also using Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix Black and E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips to put everything else together.

Snowy Kisses Gift Bag by Margie Higuchi for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Gathering up my materials, this is what I will be using…

margiehiguchi-500-snowykissesgiftbag-grouppic

With a 5.0 x 5.5 in. piece of Icicles paper, I adhered a strip of vellum that I cut from the Winter Wishes Foil Vellum Paper with E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesives Dispenser – seriously you cannot see the adhesive on this vellum! Using the same adhesive, I ran a strip across (and a little on the back) and placed my Lace Ribbon on top and folded the ends in the back. Set aside.

margiehiguchi-500-snowykissesgiftbag-step1

I wanted a subtle dimension to my panel so I pulled out my Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix Black and placed a few in the back of my die cuts. Set aside.

margiehiguchi-500-snowykissesgiftbag-step3

Now to work on the layers, first the tree die cut was adhered by E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips and placed over the frame on the right side. Then add the foamed girl die cut on the left with a little overlap.

margiehiguchi-500-snowykissesgiftbag-step2

I adhered a vellum accent (cut from the same vellum as the foiled strip) with E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesives Dispenser and placed on top of the tree die cut.

margiehiguchi-500-snowykissesgiftbag-step4

Taking the liner off the Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix Black, adhere the embellished frame die cut on top of the panel.

margiehiguchi-500-snowykissesgiftbag-step5

Using E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips, adhere the panel to the glasine bag. Add chocolate kisses in the bag and fold 0.50 in. from top with scoring tool. Seal with E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesives Dispenser (so the seal looks invisible).

Now to give it away…if you can! LOL! Here’s another look…

A Golden and Dimensional 2017!

Hi everyone, Christine here today with a New Year card with a dash of golden glamour and dimension using our Crafty Foam Tape and 3D Foam Squares. A wonderful way to start the new year!

A Golden 2017 Card by Christine Emberson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I created my card base from white card, selected white card mat and patterned paper. All affixed with MyStik® Permanent Strips.

cemberson-2017-card-2

I cut a further strip of patterned paper to go across my card and to add dimension attached Crafty Foam Tape to the reverse.

cemberson-2017-card-3

For the golden snowflake, a 3D Foam Squares – White, Small fits perfectly on the back and will hold it in place securely.

cemberson-2017-card-4

I die cut the ‘2017’ and Celebrate embellishment and added to my card design.

cemberson-2017-card-6

A tiny final touch is the pearl to the middle of the snowflake.

Happy Birthday Greeting with 3D Foam Squares

Hello and Happy New Year! It’s Amy here bringing 2017 and maybe resolutions? I don’t make them because I’m not good at keeping them. But I do like to give myself some goals and one of them is to design more birthday cards like this one using 3D Foam Squares to create a bit of dimension.

Happy Birthday Greeting card by Amy Tsuruta for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I’m also trying to make my designs gender neutral for versatility and it keeps down on the embellishments for ease of mailing.

Making the Birthday Card

Here’s a peek at my supplies:

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

The middle panel, the solid layer, is on 3D Foam Squares White Regular for added interest. I love the mix of fonts so that although it is a clean and simple design, the sentiment adds a bit of fancy to everything.

The E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser is a staple of mine in crafting. It’s just the right size to not get lost on my desk but it isn’t too big to handle (or refill!). It refills with a drop in cartridge, and it has 150 feet of adhesive!
