Simple, Quick and Cute Thanks Card with Adhesive Sheets

Hi everyone!  It’s Judy here today with a small simple, quick and cute thanks card created with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6ʺ. This little “thanks” card came together out of necessity this week. I was sending some thank you gifts with little notes so I wanted something quick but nicer than a post-it or plain note paper.

Thanks card with Adhesive Sheets and die cuts by Judy Hayes

I happened to have some bright colored papers with Adhesive Sheets already applied to the back side. There were perfect for the flower, stem and thanks die cuts! Then I found some paper for the flower pot, applied Adhesive Sheets to the back and I was ready to die cut! In a matter of minutes, I had this little card put together! Don’t you just love it when projects come together like this!

Since the die-cuts are quite small for this card, cut Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6ʺ  in half to apply to cardstock cut 3 x 4ʺ.

To apply a half Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6ʺ,  remove the narrow edge liner piece and apply it to back of cardstock.

Lift and fold back Adhesive Sheets away from cardstock, with a rolling motion, slide the Adhesive Sheet onto the cardstock while yellow release paper peels off.

See a quick How to Use Adhesive Sheets for Die Cutting and More video below.

Next, place all 4 cardstock pieces with dies on cutting plate at one time.  These flower dies are tiny!

Then pass through a manual die cutting machine.

Next, remove release paper from each die cut, starting with “thanks” and place them on a  2¾ x 3½ʺ card.

Last but not least, add a black dot in flower center with black marker.

Simple, quick and cute!

Thanks for visiting!
Judy

Best Dream Team | 3D Foam Hearts

Hello everyone, Jana here with a new layout for you. Today I used 3D Foam Hearts and gold foil from the 3D Foam Holiday Embellishment Kit to create a fun page! My hubby and our little one are a real dream team. I had the chance to get some new photos from them, that’s not easy! So I needed to get that picture on a layout ASAP!

Best Dream Team page tutorial by Jana Maiwald-McCarthy

The 3D Foam Hearts are awesome to use and so easy to add the foil… such a nice detail! Remember to apply the foil shinny side UP on top of the sticky side of 3D Foam Shapes.

I worked with Bowl of Dreams Collection Kit from Jillibean Soup – it’s full of bright colors and cute little elements! One of the patterned papers was my inspiration piece, chevrons! I added stitching to them for accent.

I added 3D Foam Squares and Crafty Foam Tape White for dimension under my little elements, like the flowers.

Smile Card with MyStik® Permanent Strips Dispenser

YAY it’s Saturday!! Erica here sharing a card featuring the MyStik® Permanent Strips Dispenser, Extreme Double Sided Tape 1/2″ and Adhesive Dots Micro.

Smile Card by Erica Houghton for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I started by adhering patterned paper to the base of my card using the MyStik® Permanent Strips Dispenser.

I then used Extreme Double Sided Tape 1/2″ to attach trim to a piece of pattern paper. I used this adhesive because it’s durable enough to be pulled and tugged while I tied a bow.

Finally, I used Adhesive Dots Micro to adhere a few small embellishments like the flower and banner cut apart to my card.

Layered Romantic Tag Tutorial

Hi everyone! Marilyn Rivera here with you today sharing my first project as part of the Guest Designer Team.  I created a romantic tag with  layers of fabrics, cord and flowers that I adhered with Dodz Adhesive Dots Medium and the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Let’s take a look…

I adhered the red paper to the chipboard tag with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. The ivory paper was adhered using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Stripes.

For the layers, I added jute and cheesecloth. I adhered both with the Dual Tip Glue Pen – it’s great for adhering fabric.

Next, I adhered different flowers with the Dodz Adhesive Dots Medium.

For the finishing touch, I put a metallic tag as my title which I adhered with the Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Thanks for stopping by…until next time!

The Making of an Art Journal Page

Art Journaling has recently become an important part of my creative process: it is fun and frees the mind. This time my project is a page taken from my handmade art journal (a combination of white sheets and pre-painted sheet before cutting them into pages bounded together).

Using an already painted page, I embellished it with a combination of E-Z Dots® Permanent and E-Z Runner® Micro, and applied white embossing powder over it. Note: I used the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser and change out the inside with E-Z Runner® Micro Refill and E-Z Dots® Permanent Refill. It is ridiculously simple to switch out the cartridges making it easy to use the adhesive that you need and be Earth-friendly 🙂

Here’s a quick video on How to Use and Refill the E-Z Runner® Refillable Dispenser, see below:

With various elements, I assembled and adhered using Dual Tip Glue Pen which worked great with layers of gauze, lace, colored thread and mini-tags. For my focal point, I painted a wooden chipboard in black chalk and added black and green glitter. After drying, I secured it with E-Z Dots® Permanent.

To create more accent, I also used 3D Foam Squares Black Mix Smaller size by taking off the top liner and applying glitter on top. After tapping the excess off, placed them randomly on the page. I also used the top liner to add little touches in here and there.

And that’s all…at least for this project! LOL!

See you soon and I recommend … create, create, create. xoxo

Going Plaid Wild with Crafty Foam Tape and 3D Foam Squares!

Hi everyone, Christine here today with a more masculine plaid style card using our Crafty Foam Tape and 3D Foam Squares.

Plaid & masculine card tutorial by Christine Emberson

I created my card base from brown card and patterned plaid paper. All affixed with E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Dispenser. This dispenser is from the original family here at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®, it is disposable and recycleable.  I always pop one of these in my craft bag when travelling.

I cut a further rectangle of patterned paper to go with a die cut and attached Crafty Foam Tape to the reverse.

For all my smaller die cut embellishments, 3D Foam Squares White Small fits perfectly on the back and will hold them in place securely.

The finished card…

A tiny final touch is the pearl to the middle of the flower.  Omit the flower and foliage to make the card more masculine if you wish.

Using Large Photos on a Scrapbook Layout with E-Z Runner

Welcome August! It seems like summer has flown by. Today I’m sharing how to use two 5 x 7″ photos to make a big impact on a page with the help of the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Dispenser.

Soon we’ll be school supply shopping soon and back to dance full time before we know it. Being the dance mom and the photographer means new photos coming out soon so I better scrap the old ones!

I gathered my supplies and packed them up for our road trip. Creating on the go is easy with a kit from Jillibean Soup Design’s Bowl of Dreams Collection, some embellishments, cardstock and photos. Along with my adhesives: E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips DispenserE-Z Dots® Refillable Dispenser and Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini.

Using both gray and white cardstock to matte each photo. Those were placed first and then I created fun clusters around the page using bit and pieces from the kit.

Layering all the colorful pieces was simple with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Dispenser and E-Z Dots® Refillable Dispenser. The laser cut title piece was covered with the E-Z Dots® Refillable Dispenser on the back and worked amazingly.

Finished the page with some machine stitching (did that once I got home) and secured sequins with Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini.

Creating a Photo Cover with Dual Tip Glue Pen

Hi all, Guest Design Team Member Lea Biccelli here with another new project! Using the Dual Tip Glue Pen, I decided to create a photo cover from scratch. Let me show you how…

Photo Cover by Lea Biccelli for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Main Pic

Cut from the cardboard, three parts that make up the cover (front, spine and back). With Dual Tip Glue Pen (the wide tip), I glued two dried baby wipes to cover one side of the cardboard pieces. This gives a softer feel when I finish the cover. Trim the excess baby wipe (using cardboard pieces as a guide).

Once dry, I want to cover it with cotton fabric. Cut the fabric a bit larger than the size of the cover so that I can fold the excess over the inside edges – use Premium Double-Sided Tape Permanent 1/4″ to secure it.

For the inside, I cut out two rectangles from patterned paper to cover and applied Premium Double-Sided Tape Permanent 1/4″ along the edges. But for the central area, I used Dual Tip Glue Pen. Lastly using my photo as a guide, I placed Creative Photo Corners Mix Pack in White.

For the front cover, I stenciled with acrylic mousse and added some floral die cuts with Dual Tip Glue Pen. Then I attached “Happy Day” with a couple of Thin 3D Foam Square Mix White for dimension.

A small project for a last-minute gift … and fun to do.

Good creativity to all.
xoxo

Birthday Scrapbook Layout with my Top 5 Go To Adhesives

Over the years I’ve learned exactly which adhesives I ALWAYS need on hand.  If I have these, I can create any scrapbook layout efficiently and know it won’t fall apart on me. Today I am going to feature my TOP 5 in one multi-photo birthday layout.

Birthday Scrapbook Layout by Christine Meyer using her top 5 go to adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

My Top 5 Favorite Adhesives

My Top 5 are: E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser, 3D Foam Squares, Adhesive Dots, E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser and Dual Tip Glue Pen.

3D Foam Squares are something I use not only on every layout but nearly every card too!  They have great height and stick well!  Size and color options are all available and if the originals are too thick for you they also carry Thin 3D Foam Squares too!

I love the easy use of the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser with the E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser. It is ridiculously simple to switch out the cartridges making it easy to use the adhesive that you need.  My go to for those little itty bitty pieces is the E-Z Runner® Micro Dispenser!

I have a process video to share with you that walks you thru how I used each of these adhesives on this layout.  Come have a look below…

Simple Things Scene Card with 3D Foam Squares

Hello everyone! It’s Judy here today with a “Simple Things” country scene card with a bit of dimension created with Thin 3D Foam Squares and 3D Foam Squares. That little pop up really adds depth!

When I first had the idea for this card, I tried out three die sets with white cardstock to see how the shapes looked and fit together. Once I had the design plan, I decided to use the white pieces and color them with markers rather than go hunting for different colors of cardstock. I was being a bit lazy (wink)! I really like the look, it fits my style!

To assemble the scene, I glued the fence to the hill with HomeHobby Dual Tip Glue Pen.  Just add tiny drops of glue to the fence posts and press it in place. I also used it to assemble the mail box pieces.

The landscape hill is fastened to the card with Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix for dimension but not too much pop.

I used the Dual Tip Glue Pen to glue mail box post to landscape and 3D Foam Squares Black Small behind the mail box for interest.

Cut a smaller piece of 3D Foam Squares Black Small to fit behind the tiny bird.   The bare trees are glued in place with Dual Tip Glue Pen.

Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix was used at bottom of evergreen tree because it’s layered over the landscape which is already popped up. I used 3D Foam Squares Black Small at the top for a little more thickness.

I assembled the scene to mats and then to a Kraft card with E-Z Dots® Repositionable Refillable Dispenser. Lastly, I added the stamped verse popped up with Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix.

I had fun with this card!  I hope you enjoy it, too!  Thank you for visiting!
